  1. I also feel that the fact that because this whole thing happened during the Making the Team shooting schedule, and the Jerry Jones induction to the Hall of Fame being filmed contributed to the publicness of the girls' reprimand. CMT would be filming the next few weeks and there would be no hiding nor concealing that Holly and Jenna were missing from this important event. The season is several episodes longer due to the Hall of Fame event. They really did it up for him, new gold dresses for the team, shoes and pompoms, fireworks and everything! A Whole episode to commemorate their beloved Jerry Jones' induction to the Hall of Fame! If this had happened later in the year, it would have been kept as quiet as it could have been; as these kinds of episodes have been kept quiet in the past. I think the timing of this unfortunate behavior really forced Kelli's and Judy's hand and they had to show it. They signed on for a reality show. And unfortunately, this was the reality at the time of filming. I feel bad for Kelli and Judy as well as for Jenna and Holly. My gut tells me they would rather not have had to address this publicly. But again, darn it, this was their reality! How do you keep it hush hush when the next thing we viewers will clearly see is that there is no Holly and no Jenna at this prestigious event?! I feel like they had to show it. Had this happened later in the year, I don't know if Holly would have been upset enough to quit. Everything would have happened exactly the same, but it wouldn't have been filmed. She may have just been too embarrassed to go on, knowing what would be shown on tv. Then maybe the embarrassment turned into indignation and anger. From a couple of her Instagram posts, she was feeling very spicy about her treatment. We don't see any more or less than Kelli and the MTT crew want to show us. I am sure both the Jenna and the Holly discussions were much longer and more heated than we were shown. Both girls broke rules, it seems, and got called to the office for reprimands, but we don't know the girls' side of the story, and how they felt about it being filmed. Maybe they felt like the filming didn't have to happen, that it wasn't fair to film them at this time, but Kelli and Judy felt like it did have to happen for the continuity of the show. It's just too bad that it happened. I am simply sorry it happened. I like both girls a lot as team members. They are beautiful, super talented, smart, well spoken, fun and will have great futures and families in years to come. It could have been avoided just by making better choices. (easy for me to say, I know) But it was fun.... Completely unrealated, but for the couple of posters that liked my snuggle puppy, and asked about him, he is a Havanese, just a little 9 lb dog, and his name is Wrigley- or Wriggy- or Wriggy Roo. He is wonderful! Great personality! Google the breed, I can't begin to tell you how special he is nor how much he is loved and spoiled. One of our three well loved doggies- Here he is after his bath but needing a little haircut- just to lighten this heavy post. I am done speaking about it now, I promise!
  2. Maybe I'm just a wet blanket and a rule follower, (and I totally am! To both! ?) but I don't put myself into positions that will get me gossiped about, tattled on, or put myself into a situation that's danergous for me. I am the only one that's going to watch out for me; it's nobody's responsibility but my own. No one can throw me under the bus if I am not waiting to get on the freakin' bus. Especially when riding the Social Media Bus! Honk! Honk! Look at me! Under-aged drinking is not only against the law, but it's not being a good role model for all the young girls they teach in DCC Cheer camps. Drinking on the job is against the rules of your contract. Fraternization with Cowboys' football players is against the rules of your contract. "What part of the contract are you not understanding?" This contract is gone over extensively on night one. We've all seen Kelli going over it. Every season. Jenna has signed it 6 times...Erica signed it 4 times, Holly signed it 3 times, at the beginning of each training camp, regardless if they made it or not. You sign the contract BEFORE you enter training camp. The DCC have these rules for the cheerleaders'protection. Protection of the brand; protection of the girls. Just because you you don't like the rules, or you think they are outdated or sexist, doesn't mean they are just guidelines and don't actually apply to you. You signed the bloody contract! Thus ends my rant...to leave on a positive note...here's a cute puppy to snuggle with!
  3. As a mom of two dancers, I can also give Brianna a pass for not cooking. My girls went to school, then went to the dance studio directly after school with a snack that I packed. They ate dinner when they got home. The older they got, the later they came home, due to late classes. They loved dance! So this was their routine, from third grade through high school, Monday through Friday and Saturdays from Sept-Nov, otherwise known as "Nutcracker Season". Then came spring performances and competitions...so yeah...they were simply never home to cook. Now that they are grown though, they realize that even though they didn't cook a lot, they did watch, and absorb. They are both enjoying cooking now, with cookbooks, crockpots and everything! A simple call home to mom will answer a random question, too!
  4. I saw on Judy's Twitter last night that she said that Closed Captioning was wrong and that she said she DID like Alexandria! (Screen shot below)
  5. Eeee....yep... I didn't think Maddi's solo was the very best. I thought she sort of haulted her movements/transitions between one move and the next. There could have been more flow between movements. It was a good solo, but it could have flowed better, in my opinion, of course. Granted I only saw a little excerp of her solo, didn't see it all. I think she had some darling facials and she looked like a little pixie! I liked her simple costume and thought it flattering to her figure. I saw that Maddi is teaching hip-hop at Kitty Carter's this year. ? And that recently retired vet Melissa will be teaching part time, turns, tricks and jumps, if I remember correctly. I would love for Melisa to teach me anything! It's on Kitty Carter's Facebook.
  6. My impression is that from the episodes we've seen so far, Kelli, Judy, Charolette, everyone, has only had the nicest, most respectful things to say about Holly. Her wardrobe mishap was acknowledged in the best possible way, with Kelli saying she handled it like a true professional. On the shows so far, Holly is definitely looked upon as a rock star and an asset to the team. So my impression is that whatever happened, it was legitimately Holly's fault. I do not see Kelli and Judy just being completely unfair to her to the point where she's quit from righteous indignation. Everything I've seen tells me they have loved her as a performer. She was not named group leader nor second leader though, which tells me that for whatever reason, they didn't think she was ready for that responsibility just yet. I think she broke rules, be it DCC rules or underage drinking rules, and got called out on it. They may have let her go simply because of either one of those, or something escalated and she had the choice to stay and take the disciplinary action like Jenna, or quit. Rumors abound; that's for sure. I just can't imagine Judy and Kelli being unfair to Holly. My gut says they had a very hard decision, but a fair one to make. If she did something that would not sit well with their organization - and we all know the DCC expectations for demeanor, and conduct- they would have to do something to nip it in the bud. We all know the rules, you can't tell me the cheerleaders don't know them. This was Holly's third training camp: she knows the rules. If she broke them, it shouldn't come as any surprise that she'd be called out on them. It doesn't matter if another teammate talked about whatever happened. If the rules were broken, and you broke them, and there are consequences. You either own up to your behavior or choices like a mature grown-up, or you childishly deny responsibility, pout, and pity yourself for being treated unfairly. I guess we're seeing which way Holly Is handling it.
  7. And yet thanks to Twitter....Little girls DO seek revenge...
  8. Well, I definitely have an open mind as to what went down and I give all parties the benefit of the doubt...but Holly's post seems very passive aggressive...especially with that little ? emoji at the end of it. Not sure what that little toilet means exactly, but it sure doesn't come across as ?And ? But in the end, the DCC will carry on!
  9. This picture is from last year...Amy L's (2nd from left) hair is long (she cut it last spring) and you can see little Heather in the background.
  10. Awwww! They all look so pretty! I'm happy for them! I think Miranda is a doll, and I feel bad about all of the negative comments about her chestal regions. I am sure that she didn't want to look like that, and that is not what she had in mind at all! It will be very painful to fix, expenisve, and take weeks out of her life, so can we just give her a sympathetic break? I'm sure some contouring and shadowing will make everything look better! If we can embrace scars and stretch marks and cellulite, I know we can get past a doctor's lack of skill. Her chest is her own, and lord knows it's none of my business, but I am sure she is highly aware of it, and it's not her fault. All I know is she is rockin' that lil uniform!
  11. I've been wardrobe mistress for a small ballet company and I would have ripped the hook and loop clasp off of Holly's top and sewn that puppy closed! No way would I let a girl go out with just a hook closure on a halter top! She could have still pulled the top on over her head. But although embarrassing, I'm sure she took it like a champ, shook it off and did her best the rest of the audition. She probably allowed the clip of it, blurred, because it was old news by then. Might as well make the best of it and laugh it off.
  12. Just wanted to say I am getting the biggest kick out of @ShellyB! I know what it is to be that mom in the audience or the wings and just so proud and hopeful for your daughter to perform at her best! The way Shelly only has eyes for Dayton, the little shimmies and flinches her body does because she is so intent on her daughter that she doesn't even know she's mimicking Dayton...it's just cute! Can't tell you how many times my feet have cramped because I didn't realize I was pointing MY toes so hard watching my girls at the ballet. Or how you don't even realize you are holding your breath when your daughter is doing a combination you know is hard for her. It's not being a stage mom, it's just loving the girl so much that you want every good thing for her, and you know how hard she has worked to get to this point! It just makes me grin to see Shelly like that because I can so relate!
  13. Just wanted to say "thank you" to @LaurenBrook for always posting about the cheerleaders in a kind, thoughtful, tactful way. I appreciate her comments. Even the " inside tips" are listed in a very caring manner, always remembering that these are real women on the DCC team, with real feelings, not characters they are playing in a roll. Congratulations to the 2017 DCC team! I look forward to the rest of the show and watching the progress of the candidates and how the story unfolds for the vets!
  14. Is it just me or does Kelli look disapproving in the photo above.....brrr....?❄️
