It was so odd how Brynn greeted each howife as they arrived, by backing towards them, apparently to show off the back of the outfit. There was something sticking out of the top of the bottom scoop, which I think Sai tucked in. Then in another shot, I think when Jenna arrived, you could see the outfit reflected in the mirror, and it looked like Brynn was wearing a loaded diaper. It was not nearly as hot of a look as she seemed to think it was.

Love Jessel's husband, who seems much more down to earth than she is (same goes for Sai and Sai's husband). Twice Jessel accused Pavel of calling her a bitch, which he didn't. What a bitch.

I had to laugh at Erin saying that due to her job, she has little tolerance for B.S. Yet she signed up for a show that is known to have a lot of B.S.(no matter which franchise). I call B.S. on her statement. I am still enjoying Erin though.

Jenna is still my fav, but I do think she goes a bit too much out of her way to dress down. I understand finding pants more comfortable than dresses (I do too) but would it hurt to put on a nice top, rather than faded denim? It was for a special occasion (Brynnsgiving aside). Also wasn't Jenna the one who had a dress code at the party she threw at her home? Just seems like she is trying to hard to not look like she is trying too hard.

Agree about Jenna. I was very confused by what she wore to Sai’s house. I thought she looked like Lou Diamond Phillips in Stand and Deliver.

The way Yam Yam consoled and helped Carson improve his fire making skills was just a really beautiful moment and speaks volumes about the type of person Yam Yam is in real life. I also was really happy for him winning in that he said he comes from a family of athletes and he is the odd one out, and yet he outlasted, outwitted, and outplayed everyone else to win this game that I'd bet his father and brother couldn't handle.

This!!! I really wish Jeff showed the jury members this scene during the reunion.  Yam Yam did not have to go out of his way to help Carson make fire. And when Carson broke down, i knew exactly how he felt at that moment and to have Yam Yam just stop and hug him was really beautiful it made me cry.  Yam Yam was like- u can do this— now try it right now! So kind! I wish Jeff showed the jurors this is who you voted for without even knowing this scene occurred.

  3. On one hand, i don’t think Jeff has the balls to toss the stuff. On the other hand, i kinda hope he does just to see everyone go crazy—i kinda think that would be fun. To the posters commenting that this is like Survivor—I’m a huge Survivor fan, so i guess that’s why i really like this iteration. Jeff is so gross with kneeling and praying bit. What a joke.

I really like the format of this show.  A little Alone, a little EcoChallenge, a little Amazing Race ...  I hope that the ":" in the title means we will get subsequent seasons of Race to Survive: Malaysia, Race to Survive: Tasmania, Race to Survive: Patagonia, etc.

I was crushed by the son going out and picking the berries he didn't even like, as a special gift for his dad, and then to be dismissed like that back at camp.  In front of everyone.

Thank you for starting the thread!  I was afraid I was the only one here watching.....

The dad is straight up psychotic. If i were the son, i would’ve dumped that whole bag of berries over the cliff after that a-hole comment.  He cannot handle getting older and his son doing or saying anything more than him. And totally agree with another poster—-stop acting like the dad is sooooo old!!! He’s 53!!!! That is not old! There are people in their 50’s, 60’s who are in amazing shape. I think once the dad realizes they are not going to win, and he gets too tired, he’ll fake an injury and use that as the excuse for cutting out early.

  5. I’m watching and i really like it!! I just binged like 4 episodes. I really like Favia and Genevieve too, great attitudes. The father and son…oof. The Dad is a nutcase. He will never accept the fact that his son will someday be more experienced than he.  Max has been on Naked and Afraid a bunch of times. I think it’s going to get ugly between the 2 female doctors. The blond is much stronger than the brunette who is not doing well. I’m hooked.

What is wrong with Jen's eyes? It's like she is always rolling her eyes or something. Seeing so much of the whites of her eyes like she's looking up at the ceiling without tilting her head? Zombie eyes? Whatever it is, it's creepy af!

I really don’t mean to be a mean girl and talk about people’s looks, but i find Jen extremely difficult to look at. The eyes are just so unattractive and the the cheeks , basically the whole face. Is it plastic surgery? I’m sorry, i really don’t mean to be mean but i can’t…

    Maureen:

      Reveal spoiler

totally pregnant and covering her belly with her arm in the FaceTime call but also flashing her wedding rings!! Her face looks fuller too.

The new basketball guy seems pretty okay? We'll see. Jeremiah never got to be a bro in his younger years so now he's a super bro and more gossipy than a mean girl. The way he smirks and wants to be all up in everyone's business about where they went and what they did is interesting for a man of his age. He needs to go back to junior high (literally). He is old enough to be Daniel/Rosanna/Johnny/Kenneth's father. 43 to their 22/20, whattt. Ew.

I kind of can't with Sabrina's histrionics. Get it together lady.

This was a blah episode and the setup seems very strange to me between the olds and the young people. Between Ada, Jeremiah, Carmella and Sabrina and all these young 20-year old kids who seem to be flocking to the house, it's just a mish mash of casting as the originals should be aging out but aren't, and the young ones are apparently there to bring the rumspringa. I'm not so sure about all of this.

The homefries must have been gross because nobody ate them.

Lol, I’m here i guess. I haven’t watched this show since the first season and now i remember why i stopped. It’s because they just turn into white trash when they come to the English world.
and this basketball kid? Like, sure, you have an 8th grade education but u think you’re gonna get into college…ok. I feel bad for Johnny—he is so sheltered and cannot handle anything outside of his normal life. Which is fine, if you are happy being Amish, then just continue your life that way. I think it much easier living Amish as male than a female. It’s the women who have to do all the cooking, cleaning, having babies, etc. i don’t blame them for wanting to leave.
mom confused by this vacation though. How come it’s okay for the Amish to use electricity in Florida if they’re not on rumspringa?

  8. Unpopular opinion here, but i thought Christians cake looked crazy! It had way toooooo much going on. I didn’t even know what i was  looking at. The colors were nice but it was like a hoarders cake. Glad Jai won over him.

i also like the southern lady and the guyanese biscuit lady, Luke and Keem-r.i.p.

Did not like Kardea going in on Victoria. Like obviously she’s having a hard time with this and she just kept going and going.

another unpopular opinion here— i miss Lorraine

I am SO relieved it will be Jesse - Jesse is my favorite host but truly I would have been content with anyone except Molly. I gave up last year after the Cookie Salad episode,  I just could not deal with the show anymore. I never watched the finale. It was just awful - the "farm", the sprinkles - The Kids Baking Championship was more fit for adult bakers than Molly's iteration of SBC. I am happy the Food Network actually listened to the viewers and is returning to the original format.  I look forward to both the Spring and Holiday Baking Championships and I am glad I can enjoy it to usher in spring. (well its more winter here now and I suspect will continue to be winter for a bit)  It is not that I do not like change - but if its not broke, don't fix it. The Great British Bake-Off has had to transition channels, hosts, and presenters, but the essence of it remains the same.

I could not agree with you guys more. Spring Baking Championship is actually one of my favorite shows and it was completely ruined last year. Incredibly hard to watch, extremely disappointing, it was a joke. And I’m sure Molly is a lovely person, but she and the theme absolutely destroyed my favorite show. If she was hosting again, i would not watch one second.  What’s crazy is that they renewed her cooking show for 2 more seasons and when i heard that , i got scared, lol. Thank goodness Jesse is back!!!!

I know I am very late, but my Apple TV started playing this show after the one I was watching before ended.  Never before have I seen the host actually drive away one of the final competitors!!!!

This b*tch wants a talented professional French baker to use her SPRINKLES in one of the final challenges.  Gah she is horrible!!!  I couldn't believe Romy just walked out of the door and then they just cut to the 3 remaining bakers with hardly any reaction of what happened from the judges the other competitors or even Molly.

Why does she keep referring to the stage as her 'Farm'?  And why are all the challenges related to her or things she picked?  WAY TOO MUCH Molly Yeh.  Who asked for her?  I can't imagine there is a big demand.  I honestly would have preferred Ree as the host, and that's sayin something.

Agree with everything here, but to be fair, some producer or executive at food network approved this crap, not Molly. Someone at food network had this idea to use her and her life on the farm as the theme!!! Someone okayed this horrible season!! Whoever that was needs to be fired

I agree but I’m wondering if Bananas would have been as generous considering what he did to his partner several years ago.  (I can’t think of her name at this moment.  Sorry.)  I remember being flabbergasted at his selfishness. How can he live with himself?

It was Sarah. And i think he would’ve done it to redeem himself for that. I like Aneesa and I want her to win, but I’m sorry, she’s never going to win if doesn’t get into better shape!
Aneesa—stop crying that you never win, or that nobody ever picks you. If you really want to win, hire a personal trainer, take a break from drinking and smoking and get into shape!!

Maybe she will demote her from 2nd to 3rd stew. Alyssa is one of those people who never knows when to quit when she is ahead. She always wants to have the last word.  I guess Fraser was supposed to suck it up and ignore the sore on his foot. Didn't the medical person tell him not to play?

I have to agree with Fraser and Alissa on this one. They are exhausted and the last they want to do is some team building BS for 1 hour when they could be catching up on sleep.

I think Alyssa, Camille and Captain Sandy are a lot of personalities for an inexperienced chief stew to navigate. I hope Fraser emerges from this trial by fire with a better understanding of how to work with those above him and those below him.

Totally agree. It was really bad luck for Fraser to get stuck with 2 really awful stews that were equally awful but for completely different reasons

  12. Agree with everyone. Fine with Jonna winning as long as Kailah did not. I cannot stand her. She was trying so hard to be likable it was sickening. I’ll be happy if i never have to see that dumb hot air balloon tattoo again. And has anyone commented on her fiancé yet?? I mean, they could be identical twins. They should get a 23 and me done before marriage. Fine with Wes winning, but i wanted Mark to win. I hope he comes back, although i don’t think he’ll ever win. Done with Nehemiah, he can go away. Absolutely hate the eating, they need to just stop with that. I wish they would make this All Star show less physically challenging because i want real old school people to join, people well into their 40’s by now, who might not after watching the first 3 seasons. Agree, this was the worst season by far —never want to see Kailah or Sylvia again

  13. I love how Emily was like, “ let me show you our bedtime routine. It’s very specific.  So basically, i just lay here topless and Koben bounces from boob to boob until we both pass out”. Got that, Kobe?

    • LOL 14
  14. Wow Emily is just horrible. I can’t believe how rude she is being to Kobe. I would never tell my boyfriend to go help my mom in the kitchen the first time he came over. How uncomfortable is that. And personally, i would not pump in front of my father or father in law, that would just be weird for me. And Emily’s boobs??? Omg! They are not looking good, i can’t believe she wore that outfit at the dinner table, gross. I mean, my boobs aren’t great either but i don’t show them like that. If i was Kobe, I’d be like, that’s okay Koben, you can have those.

  15. Guys…Sean looks GOOD!!! i mean, he looks amazing! Never seen him like that before. Unfortunately the only way he’s gonna stay that way is if he stays in Texas. The minute he gets home, Jade will go back to the same old ways. She really doesn’t want him to be better.

  16. This was the absolute worst episode ever! I was embarrassed for Molly trying to make the cookie salad a thing. All the bakers were making faces. If i were a baker on the show, i would not have been able to hold in my distaste. This was a joke of an episode. This isn’t a potluck, it’s a baking championship! And it was completely unfair to give someone fresh figs for a cookie salad, when others got canned fruit—which actually belongs in something like that crap.

  17. This show is really exhausting to watch. Jenna. First, yes Jenna, it’s easy to exclusively breastfeed when that’s literally all you do. It’s easy to be a “good mom” when that’s literally all u do. I just can’t with her.
i think with Tara’s family, they just don’t see it as a negative to have all these kids so young.  It’s normal for them and where they live. I feel like they all know they’re not going to become doctors or anything. I almost think it’s fun for them. To have all these kids at the same time and they all just hand out and play together. They are like their own commune.

Me too. Alexis starts out by saying she’s the youngest so she has more energy? Eyeroll. No one this season is old by any stretch so she can just shut it. Experience in pastry is usually a plus.  Then she makes the rookie mistake of using the attached cake cans. Everyone can have a bad day and that sucks but I won’t miss her.

Molly’s FN persona is hyper-perky. It’s a lot. Too much. She’s a good home baker and knows a lot but after the first season of her show she became this other thing. My opinion is they dumbed her down into perky Midwest mom. On her show almost all the sweet thing have sprinkles or food coloring. You occasionally get a glimmer of her more sarcastic personality when she’s joking with her husband. I haven’t lost all hope with her but I hope she tones it down.

Not loving the new graphics. The challenges have been good so far, not contrived.

100% agree. I remember liking Molly when she first came on the scene. But hosting this show is just ruining it for me. She is so annoying!!!!!! And why is this season totally based on her? Every challenge has something to do with her… everyone has to make “mollys flower bonanza cake” , as if no one has ever covered a cake with flowers before. And u have to use a farm fresh cheese because she lives on a farm.  Why??? She is too over the top—-calm down!! I loved the judge trio of Duff, Nancy and Lorraine. Kardea is ok. I just can’t stand when a judge has to be over the top. It’s like, just be normal and give a normal critique of the cake. Ughhhhh.
i would take any previous host over Molly.

Yes, 100%. When “Meowww-gny” (Ben’s rendering of her name) talked, I kept thinking she sounded American. Maybe, like Armando (from Kenny & Armando), she had schooling as a youngster that included rigorous English language development? I also got the feeling that her actions - from her very first glimpse of Ben - were totally rehearsed. I swear when she walked into the restaurant she was even making sure she hit her mark like a stage actress. That super awkward hug at the car was hilariously cringe. I loved Ben’s disappointment. His pain makes me happy. He’s a shit bag.

100% Mahogany is scammer. She is the one who sent him extremely face tuned pictures and communicated with him like that. She definitely speaks extremely fluent English. So much so, she had to remember to speak Spanish. She actually seemed like she preferred/wanted to speak English the whole time but she knew she better speak Spanish mostly. And then her trying to speak like broken English was so fake. Ben is gross but she is just so fake fake fake. She was probably like, well I’ll go and see what happens and took one look at that wonky eye and said, nope

I was super-pissed off when I saw what the guest took away from the beach with them.  Why didn't any of the crew tell them to leave it where it was?  There are actually signs at some of the beaches in San Diego, California that tell you not to remove any of the sea critters' shells, etc from there.

FLOVED sober Rachel.  She may very well be one of the only OR the only cast member to ever have witnessed herself in a previous season and actually changed/modified her behaviors in the new seasons moving forward, demonstrating a better version of herself than before.  And she is possibly the most brilliant chef I've ever seen.

I've already spewed most of my hatred of the C U Next Tuesday, Rayna.  But on a separate note about her, how was it even acceptable for her to wear those long braids that were flipping and flopping in every direction?  I'm talking about in the kitchen as well as on deck.  In the kitchen I can only imagine how much hair of hers got into the food, and on deck it seems risky to me that her hair might get caught in the equipment.  Even though she wore it partially pulled back, I don't think it was tied up enough so as not to cause a danger to her and a liability to the boat owners.  My comments are NOT racially motivated.  Merely OSHA motivated.

You can actually take those shells from the beaches in the Caribbean. The laws there state that you cannot take any shell with a living creature in it, however, you can take empty shells. I have many shells from all over the Caribbean including St. Kitts and Nevis.  I’ve had my bags checked and there is never a problem. There are some countries, like the Philippines, that have a list of shells, living or empty that you can absolutely not take.
