  1. I really liked this show but I have to say that I thought season two had much better writing. I guess the one thing I didn't like was the "Ramone" at the drag queen party who they made to look kind of dumb, although, punk ends up being the genre to usher disco out the door, so I guess there's some irony there. Also, was the guy in the studio supposed to be Rick Rubin? At any rate, my favorite scenes were where the boys were all getting in trouble and getting lectured by their parents/guardians. It just rung true to life for me...I could totally see my parents doing that!
  2. I was glad that they showed the Porchey subplot. Especially, since it's rumored that he is Prince Andrew's biological father (take a look at side by side pics of the two). I thought it was a good way of adding a complex layer to the Queen's personality. I thought they did a good job on it. But to your point, maybe they should do something for Prince Philips character along the same line. I hate the way he just stares at people as though it's the same thing at delivering a line. It will be interesting to see how their relationship develops on screen as the Prince is supposedly the Queen's biggest supporter, but it didn't always seem that way early on.
  3. What a horrible thing for Reza to do. As others have said, what kind of person does that? I hope he gets a full dose of karma soon and it gets posted to YouTube, this way Andy, who clearly favors him, can't control it. I totally agree that GG looked amazing in this episode. I do hope MJ and Tommy the best. They're an odd pairing but seem to really love each other...at least for now.
  4. I've never been so happy to see John Turturro show up in a scene as I was when he showed up on this show. This show is really well done, but maybe too well done. I had ageda during the whole thing, especially during the pat down. I haven't yelled at my screen like this since yelling, "Serpentine, serpentine" at Rickon a couple of weeks ago. Oy...and that Nas has the whole "doe eyed caught in the headlights" look down pat. I'll keep watching until the Pepto runs out or until I just can't anymore. This message brought to you by the organ formerly known as my stomach lining.
  5. OMG...I thought I was the only one. For your viewing pleasure: Serpentine! Lady Mormont wins for giving the best stink-eye ever in the history of TV. Why do I think she's the only one who can make Dany flinch? This episode had some of the most beautiful cinematography I've ever seen. There were stills from this episode that could have been an old masters painting. Beautifully done and the GoT staff was truly at the top of their game. The ladies of GoT are really driving this season, aren't they. Loved the interaction between Yara and Dany. And one more thing...good doggie! "They are loyal beasts"..."and now they're starving". Damn Sansa. You deserved that smirk.
  6. I love how Rory McCann can be a big, scary guy one minute and then manage to bring out the little boy who was punished for stealing his brother's toy the next. I loved it when the preacher poked at his leg and he moved it away like a kid. The hound just needs a good woman to teach him. I think he's got heart and he's one of my favorite characters. Lady Mormont...more of her, please! "She's a Bolton, or is a Lannister? I have conflicting information." Haha!
  7. Anyone else think the High Sparrow is somewhat smitten with Queen Margery? Also, is there anything in that scripture that says the High Sparrow can't have a bath once in a while?
  8. I agree with the idea that the Waif is the one who failed the test. She still gets too hot and bothered by her hate for Arya when the FM are supposed to be a tad bit more detached from emotion. I think he sent her to die at the hands of Arya and not the other way around. It's been pretty obvious that Arya will never be anyone other than herself. But now, she's a much better fighter. I can't help but think that fighting while blinded (or in the dark) will end up saving her in the future. I think that was the whole point of her boring story line. Meera's trying to protect Bran til the very end really got me in the feels. Poor kid could use a break.
  9. Right? Is she dating someone? I feel like her transformation was due to her meeting someone and now she sees the world through rose colored glasses or something and wants to be seen as someone who has it together. Or maybe she just matured. Either way, her jumping on the trampolines in a monkey outfit did make me laugh as did her "And they call ME the crazy one?" comment.
  10. Maybe I imagined it but when Euron said that he would seduce the queens with his fleet, I thought I saw a light go on in Yara's head. I wonder if he gave her the idea to take the boats and sail away. Also, as many have pointed out, how easy is it going to be to find enough wood in the Iron Islands to start building ships. It is a bit ironic that they are sea people in need of boats on an island most known for iron. Maybe that's why the crown was made of wood, because it's a scarce resource so it's more valuable?
  11. Tormund has to work on his game. I don't think there's much of a difference between the look on his face before he kills you and his sexy face. But agreed...go with it Brienne! How many bed frames will these two break? :)~
  12. I'm still loving the dinner scene with Brienne and Tormund. As fierce a fighter as Brienne is, and after all she's been through and seen, the one thing that makes her uncomfortable is Tormund checking her out at dinner. LOL...she looked genuinely uncomfortable.
  13. The looks at the dinner table between Brienne, Dolorus Edd and Tormund were so funny. Cersie is hatching a plan based on information received from Tommen. What can possibly go wrong? When Dany starts rattling her names off and reminding you of who she is...run, don't walk away Lord Robyn takes the title of "monkey with a machine gun" from Jimmy McGill Good luck, Theon, you're going to need it
  14. The timelines seem a bit wonky for me but at least Baby Sam seemed like he aged a little bit. And was it me, or was the scene of Dani walking in the hoard a repeat from the last episode? I can't wait for Mel to get her crazy on now that she raised Jon from the dead. And as much as I don't like her, I'm looking forward to the Cersie Lannister Revenge Tour. I can't think of a show in recent memory that has made me more interested in the generation that came before it. Not even Star Wars made me as interested in the older generation's backstory. Every time Bran gets to go back in time, I am left wanting more. I hope when GoT is ended, they do a show based on those that came before the current characters.
  15. I loved that the one who got to be there when Jon came back was Ghost. I also thought it was interesting that when we saw Jon on the table from above, the bucket under the table looked like a crown over his head and that there were seven stab wounds. One for each of the seven kingdoms, perhaps? At any rate, I'm glad he's back. Also, this is the first time I actually cared about what was going on in the Iron Islands.
