  1. Right, I think he was lying to the parents to re-assure them, and in his own twisted way he is going to try to make it right next episode by trying to do what he said he did already, kill Lemar's killer. I think in his mind he is now honor bound to avenge Lemar's death, hence the preparation in the end credit scene.
  2. I've heard 'And so say all of us' in place of 'Which nobody can deny' used until the final refrain usually. Actually, just checked Wikipedia and UK version is 'and so say all of us' all the way through.
  3. There was some dialog when they were trying the figure out how to restart the ship, and discussed how someone would have to go to the... plasma fader, or some such thing... The downside was you would be caught eternally burning instead of dying like they intended in the wormhole. Cole looked resolved to go, but Walton was already headed there, to complete his redemption arc (skeazy playboy CEO who took credit for other peoples work -> sniveling yes man broken by his captor-> guy willing to sacrifice it all to stop the madman he had indirectly helped create.). Now that I think about it, he was on the ship burning when it went through the wormhole. He should either be dead dead in the new universe in the fader system of the ship, or else returned to normal in the new universe. I think the writers just wanted that sacrifice to matter, so I'm pretty sure he didn't make it.
  4. I don't think Walton shows up at the end, that was the person playing Valdack. Gillian and Walton are, I assume, deleted. While not ideal for them, it is better than being under the control of Daly.
  5. As I recall, it began with Cameron doing her loner flaky thing. She didn't want to keep the developers from the company they merged with earlier in the season. Donna falsely told Cameron that Diane said Cameron couldn't fire the other developers. In actuality, while Diane didn't agree with Cameron's desire to get rid of the other team, she felt it was Cameron's and Donna's company, and would respect their decision. Cameron found out Donna lied, and was upset. Later, when she realized Donna was wanting to go public with Mutiny, she basically told the shareholders to choose between them, and everyone sided with Donna, so Cameron was ousted. When the IPO didn't go as well as hoped, Donna joined Diane at her VC company and Cameron went to Japan and developed games. Later, when Joe came up with the idea for Internet play, Donna tried to sell the idea to Cameron, saying they could dump Joe. Instead Cameron turned the tables and iced out Donna.
  6. That caught me off guard too, but then I realized it probably wasn't meant to be read with snark. It was sincere. This is THE Final season of HaCF, by design, it was announced and scripted with that expectation.
  7. Yes, he did. What would you do for the guy who went to jail to fund your dream? They are very close, he is essentially her father figure. Her behavior is consistent with her character and wanting to help (but also there is a pride angle because she thinks Rover's solution is the right idea.) Comet is almost exactly what Yahoo! started out as. Crowd sources web 2.0 stuff like Wikipedia is still years away. Comet staff is their to create a hierarchical directory of web pages. I don't get it either, it does feel like she has something over her sister, and I can't figure out what it is. I like Tanya a whole lot. It really ticks me off that she was passed over. I don't blame Donna though, once she realized the other big boys wouldn't be OK with her in the lead role, at least she put her in a position to showcase her talent.
  8. a) Boz needed help, and Boz is like a father to her. b) Gordon, Joe, and Hailey haven't asked for her help c) Comet and Rover are in a similar space, but aren't direct competitors. As mentioned earlier in the show, there are 4-5 Rover competitors out there. if Rover fails, one of the other indexing search solutions will still survive and get the talent behind it to challenge Comet's curated approach. She just ensured that the 'winner' in the search war will be someone she cares about.
  9. I was thinking that too. In the last episode he told a story about going with his dad to see the stars and they spoke to him. He keeps blocking out what the stars said (I think it may have even been what was being recorded on the tape he was trying to destroy in his memory this episode). If the repressed memory is an alien encounter of some kind, Mojo could fit into that.
  10. I know this is stretching it a bit, but have they revealed Arnold's last name? I noticed Bernard Lowe would be an anagram of Arnold Weber...
