  1. I swear to god- as trashy as TLC is, this really will be their next show.
  2. I just want to speak to this because TLC does such a horrible job of explaining it (downright lying in most cases) that a lot of people don't understand what the 90 days is for. I went through the K1 Visa process (Happily married 4 years now :) ) The thing is, when you apply for the K1 you are supposed to be engaged and ready to get married. When you go to the Visa interview, you are expected to present evidence of this. Lots of photos of your time together, copies of plane tickets, reams of any communication you can put together- all that in addition to the paperwork itself which is voluminous. The 90 Days starts the moment you get into the country- but it's not a intended to be a "Trial Run" to see if you're compatible and if you like it. In that TLC COMPLETELY MISREPRESENTS the visa. Your shit is supposed to be locked down and the 90 days is supposed to be to 'Have the wedding' which- depending on size you could have been planning prior to departure. I just want to stress this again, TLC has time and again pretended that this is a vacation/trial run Visa. It is not. They've picked some of the worst of the worst because it is compelling TV. Not because it is reflective of the K1 Visa reality.
  3. Also- did they just walk right into Matt and Alla's house like that's an OK thing to do?
  4. For those interested, some sleuthing has uncovered a couple of VisaJourney (A website K1/and CR1 Visa users use to track their visa process) profiles: Here is Jorge and Anfisa: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=229389 And Narkyia & Olulowo: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=230981 BIG interesting note on these: According to their timelines, neither have actually received their K-1 Visas yet. I don't know if they just aren't updated or if the show is playing fast and loose with timelines.
  5. I'm willing to bet that he doesn't make it. Full disclosure, my wife and I were on a K-1 Visa so I've got a bit of background on the reality of the situation: Basically, before the Visa is granted you have to do a number of things- one of which is spend time in person with your S.O. At that point, when you decide you want to get married you file for the K-1. At that point it's anywhere from 6-12 months before you get an interview at the embassy (Azan would have to go to the US Embassy in Morrocco) During which time you have to submit: Proof that you can financially support the immigrant, proof of relationship - which has to be fairly substantial, and lots and lots of other documentation. (A common misconception that this show propagates is that the K-1 Fiancee is a "Trial Run" the truth is that you are supposed to have your shit locked down before you even file for the Visa and the 90 days is just to settle and get your wedding done. So with those timelines in mind, I'm pretty sure that it would be impossible for Azan to come within any reasonable time unless the production company started with them near the beginning of their relationship.
  6. I really feel like this season they are doubling/tripling down on the most ignorant and mean-spirited couples they can find. I was able to hate-watch/schadenfreude my way through previous seasons with an almost glee- but for some reason this time, it's literally: *cringe-no* COMMERCIAL BREAK *cringe-oh god why* COMMERCIAL BREAK. That said, I'm kind of in love with Chantel in the most superficial of ways.
