  1. I went to Goodwood the day they were filming this episode. We were allowed to watch as long as we were quiet and didn't have zoom lenses on our camera. I can't believe the amount of time it took them just to shoot the cop leaving the store and walking towards the cafe, and they had to have the same extras walking past the store and across the street every time. My friends and I sat outside Cafe Tropical and we briefly saw Dan, Noah and Stevie. Eugene was also there that day, directing, but we didn't see him.
  2. I saw somewhere that Yannick Bisson was asked what he would be doing for his 30th wedding anniversary and he said it conflicts with an episode he is directing so I will take that as a yes!
  3. That's Emily Hampshire's natural voice. I don't think David will grow as much as Alexis has. I also love that she set out on her own instead of having her happily ever after be with a man. Frankly, I don't know how Patrick can stand David but I also think SC is the best place for both of them, David didn't have real friends before this and now he has his store, his best friend in Stevie, and in Patrick, someone who just accepts him as he is.
  4. I was happy to not see much of Chris Elliott in this. Roland was so gross and predictable except when he spoke up in the board room after hearing those snotty businessmen making fun of Johnny. I always felt like he wasn't a big part of the cast, maybe because he isn't Canadian. I just love the real life relationships between them all. You could tell over the last few episodes that the tears weren't just in character but because the actors new it was over. They'll never have something like this happen to them again and you can tell they cherish it so much.
  5. The show is so short, like 21 to 22 minutes but the highlights are so many because Daniel Levy pays so much attention to detail, whether it's with words, expressions or outfits. Every show has so many unforgettable moments. I will miss the Schitt out of this show but I'm SO glad they wrote it all on their own terms with CBC. Had it been bought by a big American network, the name of the show wouldn't have had the word Schitt in it and they would have had to cut out anything considered edgy. CBC allowed them to do exactly what they wanted.
  6. Apparently some Facebook pages for the show have announced that season 14 is happening while one of the main forums says nothing is happening. Is anyone here in the know? I imagine a lot of shows slated for next fall are not able to get started due to Covid.
  7. It had moments of brilliance, moments of seriousness, and moments of season 1 as there was a great deal of selfishness over the escape room. I wonder how it will end.
  8. I almost spit my drink a number of times during this episode but I absolutely died over the Gretzky reference "you miss 100% of the shots you didn't take" or something to that effect.
  9. The great thing about this show is you discover different things if you watch each episode. I loved when Alexis was with Artie and Johnny and said something along the lines of "oh my god I'm laughing my head off" which is something you'd say if you were talking to someone via text or online but if you were with someone you would actually be laughing! As far as Jocelyn's hair goes, I think it's just a nod to how busy she is working and raising the baby and has no time to take care of herself.
  10. I like Patrick. He has to constantly reign in David's selfish side, like when David says "my wedding" and Patrick quietly says "our". I think Patrick normalizes him a little bit.
  11. As far as Parker goes, I wonder if the actor wanted out. That's what happened with a couple of others over the years. They have been bringing a lot of different characters in because the main 4 have been working on other shows. If any of you want to ask Peter Mitchell anything, he's pretty good at replying. He's on the Murdoch Mysteries Season 13 facebook page and on twitter his handle is louford1 I was really happy with the finale, and also wonder if they tied everything up because it's the series finale. The only thing I didn't like was Murdoch saying he has looked at other women. I don't think that's in character. I was happy to see Tom stop being a homophobe. If the writing was this good all of the time I would be sad to see the show end. I wish someone would do a better job of overseeing the writing and the frequent gaping plot holes. They normal tell us if they're renewing at the awards show which I believe is this month. I'm very hopeful that they renew it along with Coroner and The Detectives. Heartland hasn't been mentioned and it's been around forever and of course Schitt's Creek is ending while Anne with an E has been cancelled. Those are all my favourite shows and I don't want to lose all of them.
  12. I think that was the first room that was cleaned.
  13. Eugene has mentioned before that Chris Elliott is the one person who constantly cracks him up. I just don't get it.
  14. This was an amazing episode, starting with Johnny and Moira's conversation in the new motel room. Her version of dusting was a riot but the speech she gave him about not letting them stay in the motel was so funny. Then seeing Patrick walk in with his entire face one colour would have had me spitting whatever I was drinking through my nose if I had been drinking anything! Stevie's reactions, from telling David she put her treatment on his credit card, to her bursts of laughter when Patrick walked in were priceless! I think the fact that his lips were the same colour as his skin was what killed me, and also his eyebrow colour! And then there's Ted and Alexis. I had a feeling something would happen only because in all the advertisements leading up to this season, we only saw Stevie, the Rose family and Patrick. There was no sign of Ted. I was still astonished when the scene unfolded though. I do love how far she's come along as she's still selfish and kind of clueless about how others see her but she's also figured out how to be a bit more selfless.
