  1. She did mention having a job in a call center, which is probably remote work. But it was confusing because she seemed to be too sick to work at all at times. Just more of the confusing editing on this episode.
  2. It was a terrible episode and very boring and dragged out. Yet very sad. I FF'd through a lot. I had missed the live chat. Two theories: 1) they have to fill air time so they can't just scrap a bad episode, or 2) they want a cautionary tale to show what happens when someone is so mentally damaged that she cannot even think of undergoing therapy--she'd rather eat the comfort food. I wish, however, they had some way to explain the gaps in information, at least with title cards. This is actually the only episode I can remember where Dr. Now wanted therapy to start at the beginning! He recognized the extreme need. But she didn't accept it and missed all the appointments. She will be dead at 30, as others suggested.
  3. Everyone just abandoned her. Why no explanation. How was she paying for that hotel? She was so depressed. Sad. There’s no snark for this episode.
  4. I don’t know if anyone else posted but Kaia is a cast member in Kristen’s Palm Royale show.
  5. I was looking her up and I found the Katy Keene show. is it worth watching? We used to read Katy Keene comics when I was a kid in the 60s! I just loved this episode and I think everyone has listed all the great moments. Maybe drag queen lawyer was a fave. Stop him Bob Bon. And the nice uncle and the dogs. Bon Bon had will and Angie’s number. So funny. Oh yeah and the uncle was dyslexic.
  6. That's because he is not fluent in English either.
  7. I think it actually was Portuguese. I went back to look just now. He seems to have said Voce casar comigo. Casar is also the verb for marry in Spanish. Conmigo means with me in Spanish. Voce seems to mean you in Portuguese. So he seems to have said "You marry with me" like a cave man. Which would be no surprise.
  8. Thanks for posting. These are scary wackadoodles.
  9. this escaped me too, but I was not paying close attention to that couple.
  10. Wow next week a shocker! Ick has picked up a Muslim girl. While the Muslim couple can’t get anyone.
  11. Also every time I see his dumbass chest in a tank top.
  12. Garrick: important that I spend time with her. Translation it’s important that I bang her.
  13. Garrick: I love her so much. Translation: I want to bang her. Who here is surprised she said yes.
  14. Thanks for all the photos. We got to see the crescent shape with our glasses and it got darkish outside and cold. I thought it was pretty amazing, since in 2017 we saw nothing. Too much cloud cover. We didn’t have cloud cover this time. @shapeshifter sorry you had cloud cover. But you got to experience total darkness so that’s cool.
  15. Shapeshifter, I was wondering about your eclipse plans--you're in the totality path. I'm most curious about how dark it will be. Please report back.
  16. Columbo also always had celeb villains. So I guess they’re keeping up the tradition. And I’m here for it.
  17. I enjoyed this episode despite some absurd premises. I too live in a coop and there are a couple of board members who are pompous know it alls. But as they mentioned in the episode many shareholders don’t want to take these positions as they are too much work. Separate topic: I said on episode one that Wendell Pierce cannot be a bad guy. I’m thinking they are hinting that he’s a good guy and the captain is planting suspicion on him and the captain is the corrupt one. This is based on a couple of exchanges.
  18. The Closer was very good, as was the sequel show, Major Crimes. They had a great ensemble crew of the squad detectives.
  19. Oh that double feature thing should be fun. I saw that interview. I also grew up with the mismatched double features. I like looking at ads in old NYT pages now and seeing what was playing.
  20. I have watched The Major and the Minor so many times I can recite it by heart.
  21. Oh there’s more! Five Graves to Cairo and a really old one, a TCM premiere, Mauvaise Graine.
