  1. I couldn't find the Schooled board, so I'm posting here. The Lainey character repeatedly referred to "an alumni." Alumni is plural. It's either "an alumnus" (male) or "an alumna" (female).
  2. I looked away. I still don't know how they did the scene.
  3. We know Dina had prenatal care because that's part of a surrogacy agreement and because we saw her taking hormones early on. We don't know for certain that Amy had prenatal care. She's an hourly retail worker. Bad insurance is often worse than Medicaid.
  4. I liked the scene in which Dre offers Junior a chance to play catch. Junior is beyond ecstatic, only to be rebuffed because Dre's time is up. They're really playing up the Junior as nerdy kid ignored by his father schtick.
  5. Having them separate would provide more potential storylines: Junior to college with separated parents, impact on Jack and/or Diane, parent meeting love interest, holiday, custody, kids changing schools. Then, there's Zoey not knowing anything about what's transpiring. A reconciliation definitely not happening this season, but might eventually. I don't think Tracee will be killed off; she may just fade away. Still, I think the Ruby/Dre talk is foreshadowing. One thing I wonder is what happens to the grandparents. Ruby and Pops are Dre's parents, but one of the episodes has Dre moving into an ultra-modern house.
  6. I liked what they were fighting about. Unless one party has done something egregious, it's usually the death by a million cuts that causes a marriage to break apart. The two have gotten under each other's skins by the little things they have or haven't done, the small offenses that have not been voiced and the small irritations that have built up. Like others, I appreciated the use of lighting. I think the scene between Ruby and Andre is important. Bow and Andre will reunite eventually because they think the other is worth it.
  7. Has this show been renewed for next year? Maybe it's the producer's way of closing it out.
  8. I guess I'm alone in this, but I'm happy they're splitting up, not because I dislike the couple, but because I think it will make much more interesting future episodes. Zoey and Junior will be off at college, so they're off the show for the most part. That leaves shows revolving around Dre's parents; Dre; Bow; the twins, who are not yet adolescents; and Devante. With Dre and Bow separated/divorced, the show can explore the things separated couples deal with: custody, special events, first time holidays. It will be much more interesting.
