  1. Lack of garage + location in an environment where there's guaranteed snow every winter = no sale for me, anyways. I liked the other two houses though.
  2. Don't know about other cities, but in the Chicago area, episodes are re-run on PBS Prime on Tues, afternoons (usually at 4pm).
  3. While there are still many I haven't seen, the two best ones I've seen are "The Two Escobars" and "Hillsborough" (from the Soccer Stories collection).
  4. I tried a v8, since I like some of their fruit/vegetable juice combos. Unfortunately, to me, it tastes like cold vegetable soup, and I really don't like cold soups. Oh, well.
  5. Glad to hear it, since I get Buzzr on my TV with a converter box, but not on my one with cable/satellite only.
  6. Having to sex Rick to live the high life in the Forrester mansion, apparently.
  7. A couple of country songs that get me choked up are The Dance by Garth Brooks and Go Rest High On That Mountain by Vince Gill.
  8. I consider Fine Young Cannibals to be one of my favorite underrated groups of the late 80's/early 90's, even though they only lasted for a couple of records.
  9. Also, Carolina In My Mind by James Taylor.
  10. Fellow WTTW viewer here. Both A and F will stop me from watching PBS, although I'll usually watch some of the Geoffrey Baer shows if they are on. As far as WTTW Prime, I also appreciate the occasional marathon they do of one or another Henry Louis Gates' geneology series.
  11. I still miss Detroit 1-8-7: I think it could have been the next great network TV cop show, and was sorry it didn't get a chance to move to cable, like Southland was able too. Also was a fan of Homefront, Sledge Hammer, Once & Again, and Now & Again.
  12. I voted Coke & other, since I like regular Coke, caffeine-free Coke, and Vanilla Coke.
  13. I've never liked corned beef--as a kid, I would put tons of ketchup on it to make it tolerable. I was also the rare (non-allergic) kid who, if presented with a PB&J sandwich, would rather eat the plain bread. Also, I agree about liking tomato products but not raw tomatoes ( just didn't look like something I'd want to eat). Lastly, I find the smell of sauerkraut repulsive.
  14. More Christmas songs I can't stand: "The Happy Elf" by Harry Connick Jr. and "Silent Night" at least as sung by Michael Bolton. Since I work retail, I'm forced to listen to Christmas music at work,by which I get tired of many Christmas songs by the end of the holiday season.
  15. Since animated movies haven't been mentioned yet, I'll watch The Incredibles any time I find it on one of the Disney Channels. I'd also include in this category, The Princess Bride, Notorious, Rear Window, The Best Years of Our Lives, and Goodfellas. From the " I refuse to feel guilty for liking this movie." category, I'll watch The Cutting Edge whenever I find it on cable (or locally on the This channel [Chicago-area movie channel one gets via converter box]).
