  1. https://radaronline.com/exclusives/2019/01/teen-mom-ryan-edwards-arrested-heroin-possession-theft-no-bond-drug-rehab-release/ And being held with no bond on possession of heroin charges... Shocker.
  2. I also think that Brandon and Teresa went into the open adoption with good intentions. But circumstances change, especially as your child grows into an independent person with their own needs and desires. They didn't know that "16 and Pregnant" would become a long-running franchise, with all of their adoption issues and drama playing out for the world to see. They attempted to set boundaries with Caitlyn and Tyler, like not posting Carly's picture on social media or discussing their conversations for the cameras, and Tyler ignored those requests in a pretty disrespectful manner. These factors, along with the attention from C&T fans (didn't they approach Brandon at work or something?), have to make an already challenging, emotional situation (open adoption) so much harder to navigate. Ultimately, I think their primary concern is insulating Carly from the crazy.
  3. So, what are our thoughts about this blind item from Enty Lawyer yesterday?
  4. In the comments on her latest Instagram post, Mac said she is due in 10 weeks. Not a lot of time for Ryan to sort out his legal issues, eh?
  5. When your spouse (who is a real life special agent with the FBI) sends you a text to tell you they'll be home late, and it reads: "I was hoping to make it home for dinner, but things are very topsy turvy at the office." (I refrained from packing a bug out bag and heading for the border.)
  6. There were some moments that I was eager to see how they played out on TV, and this was definitely one of them. When I saw the overhead remote camera go in for that shot, I thought, "This is going to look amazing on the broadcast." Re: John Legend's vocals being affected by illness...His performance of "Gethsemane" was stronger during the rehearsal, and he totally nailed the challenging notes that seemed a stretch last night. I got the sense that some of the performers were vocally exhausted by the time the end of the live broadcast rolled around (Ben Daniels is another one that comes to mind). In defense of the audience being annoying, we were explicitly told to be high energy and treat it like a rock concert. (Although I was exchanging side-eye with the people around me when both Judas and Jesus died, because it was like, "WOOOO JOHN LEGEND YOU GO...wait. Should we be clapping here?") The sound level issues were worse at the rehearsal, with the chorus being almost inaudible at times, so I was bummed it was still an issue during the broadcast.
  7. Yes, the venue itself and the set pieces and scaffolding were massive. I dont feel like the sheer height of the set pieces was captured on television. When John Legend and his cross floated upward, I felt a bit concerned on his behalf- he was pretty high and that cross was kind of insubstantial!
  8. Yes, I think the sight lines for a lot of the seats were sub-par. I was insanely lucky and was at the front of the seated area next to the stage left walkway where the cast entered and exited. Since a lot of the camera angles focused on the "Jesus" wall across the way, it was a great location and the only thing I wasn't able to see was Judas' suicide. (The pit folks down below in front of me were about four deep and ended up standing for hours and production took their water bottles away, so I was happy to be seated! They said post-show that their views were pretty abysmal unless you were placed in the front row.)
  9. Like someone said upthread, it was the Marcy Avenue Armory in Brooklyn. The inside was a crazy maze of scaffolding and curtains all over (when they led us to our seats, I thought, "We will all die if there's an emergency in here.") The stars had trailers across the street in a vacant parking lot, next to the luxury portapotties everyone had to use since there were no facilities on the premises. (So I got to pass the paparazzi and autograph seekers and pretend I was fabulous during the pre-show bathroom run.) They had a giant A/C unit that they'd crank up during commerical breaks since it was too loud to run during the show. It was a weird setup!
  10. At the next commercial break, they had six of them frantically sweeping it up without much success. They finally busted out a vacuum by the end of the dress rehearsal last night.
  11. I've never seen "Jesus Christ Superstar" prior to watching the dress rehearsal in the audience tonight, but it seemed staged like a normal musical to me, albeit on a single giant set (unlike the other live TV musical events that have utilized multiple sets). The people around me who had seen JCS were effusive in their praise post-show, so I think it was in line with their expectations. The show was excellent overall with a high-energy vibe (and this is coming from someone who is "meh" on the JCS soundtrack), and the singing was absolutely amazing. Brandon Victor Dixon absolutely killed it as Judas, John Legend and Sara Bareilles did a beautiful job with their featured numbers, and the entire cast turned in solid performances. I'm excited to see how it translates to the screen!
