  1. I loved the episode because it felt like there was finally movement in the story. I'm maybe one of the few who likes Sara, so I loved the reunion with Michael. They make the show, for me, along with the Linc/Michael relationship. Given that so many felt Jacob was going to be the bad guy, and seeing Sara immediately believe Michael and attempt to thwart Jacob's plan, was rewarding. Now we're going to have two brilliant strategists going up against each other for the next couple of episodes. I'm excited!
  2. Admittedly, Merrin Dungey had been on a Shonda show before (Grey's, playing Naomi before Audra McDonald took over the role when Private Practice started), and we've seen how much Shonda re-uses actors she likes. But yes, curious timing.
  3. Skimming over these comments, sounds like it's best to avoid the finale and just remember the first few seasons? Create my own finale in my mind?
  4. I'm kind of surprised no one's brought up NF's tweets: Is he throwing shade on Castle's writers? (admittedly, everyone else here does ;)) Saying his character was stale and one-dimensional? Interesting . . .
  5. I was surprised Sara/h kissed Jimmy; I figured they might drag it out a bit more. But I'm interested to see the finale given that development, and I hope it gets renewed: Paget Brewster doing comedy is awesome in my book. I still laugh out loud when I think of her character taking the "Which FRIENDS character are you?" quiz earlier in the season.
  6. Very interesting post overall, but this was the paragraph that stood out to me, because Madame Secretary has become one of two shows I'll consistently watch (The Good Wife being the other; Castle lost me the last couple of years with jerking the couple around). One, I love watching Tea Leoni in that role, and two, I love watching the relationship with her husband, even if the fact they're trying to turn him into SpyDaddy is annoying. But that show has been proof to me that married couples can be still interesting and spicy, as Stana used to say. I kept hoping that they'd find a way to balance the COTW with a funny, healthy, spicy marriage relationship between Castle and Beckett. Would you add Julianna Margulies to your list of brunette female actresses who get work? Though I realize she's a bit older than the others you mentioned, but The Good Wife had some excellent writing/acting and that fifth season, in particular, was just awesome. I probably won't be able to bring myself to watch the last few episodes of Castle. I don't want the end to poison the first three seasons for me.
