  1. LOL. They told Carol about Flower getting sucked off and she, of course, misunderstood and was "good for her." The older ghosts think Carol is happy their friend went to heaven and are still innocent of the real meaning of the phrase. It's childish but I'm still not tired of that running joke. Jay was uncharacteristically harsh but I just figure that money problems and losing a dream will make anybody lash out, especially when the money is right there.
  2. I read the book and thought it was Billy Warlock too, but then thought what if it was the actor who played Eugene? He was gone all of a sudden and the nerd character was replaced by his cousin Melvin.
  3. Crystal has a son named Lonnie with her first husband, and had Ed Jr. and Angela with Ed Sr. Ed Jr. was in a few episodes but they just dropped his character which is a shame. I don't know why her children can't pay $500 for their mom's medication. Especially Lonnie who must be in his late 30's or 40's now.
  4. What a sad twist of how the money was used. On a lighter note, the trivia question about a vegan daughter with a dad who drinks. LOL. This bit reminds me of the inside jokes in original show.
  5. I don't want Carol sticking around for too long either but I hope she doesn't go down. She's annoying but no more than most humans. She cheated on Pete but he forgave her. Can someone remind me why Pete is still mad at Carol? Like others, I hope she and Pete make peace with each other and that's her unfinished business and she gets sucked off. Although if she goes down, it may make for some fun guest appearances like how Elias came back. They can team up to cause trouble for the gang.
  6. Since a poster mentioned a possible way out of the well is to keep walking until she gets into the basement, I'm wondering if there's a connection between the well and the knocking the basement ghosts heard from the water eater.
  7. I'm a bit disappointed Flower didn't get sucked off. I knew she'll be back somehow from the great beyond, but the way the head honchos went on about how it needs be be someone the audience cared about and how it needed to be meaningful. This fake-out cheapens this story arc for me. It may even be better if the summoning worked but Flower came back into the well instead of the house because.....she's Flower. Then when they eventually find her, she's stuck on earth again because it's over 24 hours. But she said she fell in the well a month ago so that explanation is out.
  8. I'm kind of happy about this twist, but who's the "mistress" who tried to win Sheldon over? Are they going to have Brenda (or another woman) give Sheldon a gift and he just mistook her intentions?
  9. On wow. They went there. I can't believe my joke last week about Mary bringing back props from Germany became real. I don't know how I feel about this.
  10. Eh. A lot of things Sheldon said in BBT didn't come up in Young Sheldon, like how Mary said her other children were dumber than rocks (or something like that). On YS, Mary don't totally think that, especially in regards to Missy. MeeMaw's personality is also different from the stories adult Sheldon told. But anyway, that's just in my head. The writers will probably (hopefully) do better so it makes sense that if the affair happens, we get to see how they fixed their marriage. I'd hate for the show to end on a bitter note.
  11. Yeah, I think young Hetty would have worked better if they just changed her hairdo without that heavy makeup. That was just bad. We're a forgiving bunch knowing they can't really change the actress's face but we can suspend belief if they didn't try so hard. I'm not sure why they didn't hire a younger actress which would show us how it was like being a young woman of a rich family living under her father's thumb and the pressure of choosing love or money. She can run a household but there were hardly outside work for women in those days. Even "respectable" work like teachers or lady's companions are for single or older women (I think). The fate of Hetty's mother is played off as a joke, but it was all too real for women who didn't toe the line.
  12. I love how Jay just rolls with every new thing that pops up. Even though he's the one out of the loop because he can't see the ghosts, but he still tries to be involved and please them by baking cakes for a ghost wedding, and buying a car so Sass and Jessica can be together. And yes, I also love the cake bit and how he makes his announcement in all the rooms.
  13. This season has been so light that I enjoy watching this show again. Last season was so depressing. Until next week, I'm going to imagine Sheldon's memory is a "Three's Company" type misunderstanding. Didn't Mary say she fell in love with George all over again due to the letters and told him to wait until she gets home because she's going to rock his world? Maybe she brought some props in Germany. Yeah, that's the ticket.
  14. I wonder if Sass ever went into Hetty's dreams when she was alive. The others died as guests of the house and probably never slept there, but Hetty lived there since she was a child. Perhaps Sass didn't since he watched her grow up so it didn't feel right, but what about messing with her husband's mind?
  15. So now Jay and Sass can hang out as long as Jay is asleep. I'm kind of glad that Sass can tell Jay if Sam ever lies again. She often makes Jay think the ghosts don't like him or disagree with him when it's the opposite. Jay is right that he does so much for them and he doesn't know if they appreciate it or if anyone except Pete even like him.
  16. I don't remember Marge doing or saying much in this episode. The real test is a Marge-centric episode. Stay strong. The rest of us can vent for you.
  17. I no longer watch this show for realism so I'm just going to be happy for Bev having her mind back and off on one last adventure. Also finally making peace with Jackie. But I'm glad Jackie threw in that line about tracking the phone. That end tag with the chickens was cute and funny.
  18. I'm glad this show is back but it wasn't as sad as I thought it would be for one of the core eight to get sucked off. Maybe because I don't believe Flower is really permanently gone? Am I just in denial?
  19. I like Wyatt too. He already seems to click with the rest of the cast. More natural humor instead forced unlike the others. Is he another one episode clerk? I wouldn't mind if he becomes the permanent one.
  20. This isn't one of the more famous episodes, but one of my favorite is Empress Carlotta's Necklace. They gave it to Rob's mom which saved Laura from hurting his feelings. In the end, Laura was so happy Rob got her another gift of a simple and elegant pearl pendant, but started crying again because he vowed to find another Empress Carlotta necklace. The episode reminds me of the one with the brooch shaped like the United States that Laura accidentally put in the garbage disposal. She had a new one made and everybody was happy she cared so much about family. And then she found out there are matching earrings.
  21. I love Sam's prom dress. You can wear it today and it won't look dated like other 80's fashion. I hated Jesse too and was glad when they broke up. Back when I was young in the 80's, I usually get attached to the person that the main character(s) dated and and didn't like when they break up, but I was glad when this one was gone.
  22. I was watching the All in the Family episode where Edith thought she had cancer. The nurse was played by Katherine MacGregor. It was odd but nice seeing her looking so modern (the 70's).
  23. A few weeks ago, I stumbled on Friends themed lip balm while shopping. The container looks like a take-out coffee cup with the Central Perk logo. They were only a $1 so I brought two different flavors.
