  1. I don't think this has to do with going back in time to eliminate the murder (if it was, they are making Cain pretty likeable for that plot twist) but maybe somehow having Abel come forward in time. I also think that Cain just dying isn't in the cards - he would just spend eternity in hell instead of on Earth. BUT - remember the statement in the story arc where Chloe almost died from Season 2 that (1) people commit themselves to hell, not Lucifer and that (2) there is a way out of hell - that's been in at least two story arcs - must be a reason for that. Also, I am surprised at the negativity about this episode. it wasn't quite as good as the previous show but IMO as good as most Season 2 shows
  2. Three things: 1. "Lucifer" is missing from the main Forums page - what's that all about? 2. A whole lot of negative comments about the show but I really liked this weeks show, especially to the clip from a show from Season 2 where all we see is Cain's hands putting a file folder in the Celestial file; also, a bunch of unexplained events from previous shows all suddenly were explained. Cain suddenly got very interesting and gives Lucifer both a foil and a quasi-partner. 3. Someone please tell whoever does the subtitles for Fox that they are misspelling Cain as Kane (or is this deliberate?).
  3. Enjoyed the show and the humor all through it; a little surprising that they can get away with some of it especially at 8:00 pm (Maze and her torture device of choice being a toilet plunger and Lucifer getting ready to watch "Hot Tub High School" but.............WHAT?? Next episode not until 1/22??? Is Fox deliberately messing with this show? It sure looks like it.
  4. It kinda flew under the radar but Candy knows Lucifer really is the devil since she saw him shot several times. Did Ella?
  5. Without doing any spoilers, I just have to commend the writers for two extraordinary sequences the last two weeks that join the "Father Frank" episode from Season 1 ("you knew") and the Season ender from season 2 ("Let there be light") with an emotional resonance you don't often see on TV. Lucifer's connection to Charlotte Richards last week in two separate scenes was deeply moving and the scene at the end with Chloe tonight was just beautiful. Some weeks get kind of buried in the procedurals and other weeks move the plot along ok but every once in a while we get to see characters and emotions that really connect. Everyone seemed to be overacting the first several shows - Lucifer was just too intense, Ella was insane, Chloe seemed pissed at everyone. I was afraid that this season was entering "jump the shark" land but thanks so much for the last two episodes. All is right with the world.
  6. What is going on here? Ella seems to have been possessed by some crazy person. The whole thing just seems off - the spark isn't there and we are getting led around by our noses on the whole wings things. Amenadiel is back in full angst mode (been there, done that) and nobody (especially Tom Ellis) seems to be having fun. So Dr Linda is in practice again? How'd that happen? A very weak explanation on Maze's absence didn't help - the writers certainly could have done better than that! It will be interesting to see next week's stand-alone episode from last season to compare. Some progress on the Sinnerman front and Detective Pierce suddenly got interesting - about the only good news on this episode.
  7. Just rewatched and noticed something I missed before: When Luci goes to Chloe's apartment and Maze and Trixie are there (doing their medic thing), when Trixie puts a gauze patch on Luci's forehead he flinches. Does this mean he is vulnerable around Trixie too? Is he getting 'Not immortal" in general (he doesn't seem to be healing very well)?
  8. See this link for word on Season 3, Mom, and "tragedy" in the desert lucifer-season-3-producer-confirms-charlottes-return-teases-lucifer-chloes-reunion-1623861
  9. Everything I've read so far says that the four "lost" episodes are not part of the main story line but rather a way to explore other topics and to revisit Candy Morningstar in Las Vegas (episode 22 I think). The four episodes don't have to be the first episodes shown in the fall and they could be positioned as flashbacks I guess. So, how do they get Lucifer out of the desert? (BTW, his wings were always white). I assume he can fly with the wings like Amenidude could in the first season? Who knocked Lucifer out? He was talking to Chloe's answering machine when he was knocked out so I guess she could have been close enough to him to make him vulnerable but who would do this to him and why? Unusual for Chloe to miss a phone call isn't it? Watching Tom Ellis' performance as he was leaving the message for Chloe was just amazing. In the previous episode Linda was seen packing up her office; in this episode it looked all set up again. So, what happened when Maze went in to see the medical ethics guy? Did I miss something?
  10. BTW, Candy is back in episode 22(?), the one set in Las Vegas
  11. Yeah! Lucifer renewed for full 22 episode season 3!
  12. Careful what you wish for..................
  13. No one has commented yet than when Chloe grabs Lucifer's horns she is not grossed out but rather has a slight grin. Since this is her fantasy it seems pretty clear that she knows Lucifer is, in fact, the devil and that she can handle it. Chloe muttered something as Maze woke her up that made me think that is not the first time Choe has had this dream.
  14. Anyone else see Leslie-Ann Brandt doing her web broadcast last night? If not, some random points: 3 episodes in January to fulfill original Fox commitment then the last 9 starting in May for the 22 episode extension; they are working on 2-18 this week. Issue is new? Fox shows (other than Lucifer) that Fox had to cram into the schedule somehow She is pregnant and was during the show that was on last night (filmed late last November I believe) Did a "laugh out loud" reaction when asked if she and Dan would be getting together Did the "zipper across her lips" thing when asked if we would see hell again this year I'm not sure I am drawing the right conclusion but there seems to be another Maze/Dr Linda/Ella girls night out in our future (YEAH!) I subscribe to Lucifer thru iTunes which is where I normally watch it - a completely different experience than the over the air broadcast. The commercials are a real killer. Lucifer is a "dense" enough show in the first place - lots going on and I, at least need to concentrate. It's a little over $20 for a seasons worth of downloads: Highly recommended if you have iTunes
  15. I must admit I was disappointed with the beginning of the episode and the interrupted kiss - all I could think of was 'typical' cop out of TV writers who get themselves in a box. That's why I was so surprised and happy with the ending. Now we get to see how the two characters we care about deal with it. Lucifer: "step-Dan" Dan: "you say some weird stuff" CLASSIC! So, Chloe and Lucifer are almost totally out of the loop on what is actually going on - even Amenadiel who hasn't done much this season except sit around and look sad knows more (btw, am I the only one who thinks this is a waste of D.B. Woodside? He is coming across as the weakest character on the show). As I understand it, episodes the next two weeks (completing the original Fox commitment of 13 shows) and then 9 shows May/June. Creates a real challenge for the show and Fox since renewals start in March with no Lucifer episodes and ratings Feb/Mar/April. Does this imply that Fox has already decided to renew; if not, certainly not a fair test.
  16. I seem to remember that, at the time Dan slept with Charlotte, Dan thought that she was the mad bomber's lawyer, not scuzzball's, since that is how she met Dan in the jail cell. Comments?
  17. Not quite. Early in season 2 Chloe had a vial of Lucifer's blood and was going to have it tested, at Lucifer's urging, to proves he was not human (this was after Amenadiel's little mind game with Chloe and the bullet proof vest). Ella and Chloe had a talk about faith in which the basic message was deciding who you believed in. Chloe evidently thought about this for a while and then threw away the vial, choosing to believe in Lucifer even if she wasn't quite sure exactly what she was believing. Also, I don'r remember Chloe seeing the full Lucifer face but she has seen the eyes. This was the first episode, as far as I can remember, where Lucifer said flat out to Dan that he was the devil, not once but twice. For all his faults, Dan isn't a dummy. He has seen and heard enough. Agree on Amenadiel; does he have any powers at all now? Mom threw him around like a rag doll.
  18. Anyone else notice that the writers are setting up Dan to figure out who Lucifer really is? Several episodes ago Dan saw Lucifer's wing scars when they were naked in the Russian bath house. In this episode Lucifer told Dan that he is the devil (that's why he could speak Chinese) and that he was immortal (same scene). He also heard Chloe tesify that Lucifer (who never lies) told her he had run hell. I think Dan also saw Lucifer recover from being dead in the final episode last year. Dan isn't dumb - I think he has Lucifer figured out but just needs a final push to admit it.
  19. Oh PLEASE....I so need to see Dan realize he just had sex with Lucifer's mom and for Lucifer to realize the same thing. BTW, Dan is no dummy...he has GOT to be thinking about the wings scars on Lucifer's back, especially since the shot cuts during this scene made clear that they were visible and that Dan saw them. What if Dan figures out Lucifer before Chloe...but, I don't think so. When Chloe threw away Lucifer's blood sample, did she decide that faith trumps truth or did she decide faith and truth are the same thing? Very deep. I haven't loved a show this much since X-Files!
  20. I think the difference (and, to me, it is major, is that Lucifer PUNISHES true evil and is disgusted by it. For his own behavior, and by extension to others, he is completely amoral (not immoral). There are multiple examples where he says the evil things humans do are on them, not him; his job is to punish them.
  21. OK showrunners, I am confused. Mum has a mortal body (she got stabbed in the arm by Lucifer and hurt herself when she head butted Maze) BUT she effortlessly threw the mugger across the street. Maze: who knows? She got headbutted to the point where mum got away but has been kickass several times. Amenadiel: he was seen researching fallen angels but why are his wings disintegrating while Lucifer's were pristine (until he burned them); is he becoming vulnerable and, if he is, why?
  22. What really happened at Palmetto Street? Yup, Dan shoots Malcolm to protect Chloe but what were Dan and Malcolm doing there in the first place? For that matter, how did Chloe know to be there? Who dropped the LAPD pin in the cellar? Why didn't Dan just say he was stopping Malcolm from shooting Chloe? Not that it matters much (at least so far) but it has been bugging me.
  23. If you haven't done so, watch this episode with Closed Captioning enabled. I didn't pick up first watching it that Malcolm called Amenadiel "Amenadude" and that Lucifer actually dies (captioning states his heart had stopped). What a great episode!
