I think it's pretty much classic CW drama. Little too much idiot ball carrying for my personal taste, but some very good actors, and I have found myself watching it off and on despite the idiot ball carrying. May I suggest iZombie? I enjoy it as much as I did the first season of Grimm. It has a nice balance of humour and seriousness, when the characters carry the idiot ball they pay a price for it, and for the most part they have been darn good on plot follow through.
