As for children she said on her podcast that she always knew she wanted children she's just scared. While she loves and appreciates her mother, Dorothy wasn't emotionally available/emotionally supportive during her childhood. She's terrified of doing to her children what her mother did to her. Chris has also confirmed that she always has an excuse because she's scared of repeating Dorothy's mistakes.

To this day Chris still says that he owned the restaurant, I think Candiace goes along with that story so that he doesn't come across as a liar. Chris said both children wanted to be on camera last season. Then the cameras came and his daughter froze. Hence Candiace saying "she's just shy", so that she could gently usher her away from the cameras.

She said on her Chris' live that she was wrong for the uterus comment. She's also said multiple times on and off the show that she's doing IVF because she doesn't want children right now, but she's perfectly capable of getting pregnant naturally right now if she wanted to. She's freezing embryos so that she has a backup plan in case she can't get pregnant later on when she's ready.

She started her hair business after leaving the Obama administration as an intern. Dorothy for whatever reason wanted her to work, while she was in college. She has two salon suite locations in the Atlanta area, where people rent suites from her. She said the townhouse was an investment property, which is why she was okay with Chris living with her and not contributing to the mortgage. However her new home was purchased from her and Chris' joint bank account. She said on her podcast that she has two accounts that both her dad and step-father opened for her as a teen. She uses those accounts for her business ventures.

What I gathered is that she originally wanted to be a political correspondent, hence her undergraduate degree in journalism. Somewhere down the line she decided to focus on her true passion which is her entertainment career. She's still doing things in the political realm. She's working with Congress to create legislation requiring that health insurance companies cover fertility treatments, whether they're required or elective. She said on her and Chris' live last night that she spent $30,000 on the first round of IVF that did not take.

No problem. She mentioned it on her podcast last year. I don't see the problem with her mother helping her either. Not every parent is like Todd over on RHOA who thinks that his child has to struggle, because he had to struggle.

Candiace said working was a requirement for her parents to pay for college, so she got a hostess job. She later got a promotion to a director's position, with Chris as her supervisor. Which was one of the reasons she turned him down when he first asked her out. As for her mother helping her, I don't know why some people are acting like she just sits at home while her mother pays her bills. Her first home was an investment property with her mom, which they then sold for more money. When she first came on the show she already had her hair business and her pagent consulting business. She also invests in real estate by purchasing, flipping, and selling houses in Atlanta, has a salon suite business with her family, but she keeps these businesses off of the show.

Mia was making the lies up as she went along. I would have been laughing too because she sounded ridiculous tripping over her own lies. Candiace ate Ashley up about the house. Ashley made derogatory comments about Candiace's generational wealth, meanwhile she has to depend on "Sir-Grabs-A-Lot". I really wish Chris hadn't reached out to Gizelle. Now she's using that as ammunition. Also I'm glad Candiace did not accept her apology. She said in an interview she was done with Candiace, but it seems like Candiace is the one who's done.

No one seems particularly likable this season, maybe it's just me. However I'm Dom's side when it comes to Mac's living / constantly moving across the country situation. He moved from the Mid-West to California, and then to Nashville. Doesn't want to commit to a lease but could commit to marrying a stranger. It sounds a little suspicious to me. Someone mentioned on Twitter that his moving timeline seems to match the show's timeline.

Interesting! I didn't know that his ex said anything to the media about him. From what I've seen on his lives he doesn't seem very fond of her. Then again he's a chef and from what I've heard most chefs are arrogant and temperamental.

I think his temper may have a lot to do with his various employment situations. I can't find the comment now, but someone on Twitter basically said that the anger we see from Chris on social media and on the show is nothing compared to how angry he can become. Candiace "jokingly" confirmed it and Chris straight up admitted it.

I honestly think that Ashley still believes she's in pagents and she has to compete against fellow pagent girl Candiace. Candiace's home cost around $1.5 million, and has around 5 or 6 bedrooms. Ashley decided to look for homes in the same price range with the same amount of bedrooms. The only difference is if Candiace were to leave Chris tomorrow, she could still afford her mortgage. Ashley has to walk on eggshells because she's still dependent on Michael.

Ashley is just beyond miserable. Go enjoy your screaming child and your $13k a month mortgage. Why did she feel the need to antagonize Chris at Candiace's event? So Chris most likely lost his job at the hotel due to these disgusting women? Not Bravo shading Mia and Robyn,lol. After this season I'm officially over this show. When I was growing up in the Caribbean we called the pedal pushers.

Mia isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, if she believes Wendy is jealous of her. I was cracking up at Candiace saying "this is the best food we've had so far" after all the chaos erupted. I'm tired of these husband accusations. I'm just ready for the reunion at this point.

All these couples seem mismatched to me. Mackinley's mom didn't even try to reassure Dom that her race would not be an issue. She side stepped the question while still looking uncomfortable. Meanwhile Mackinley is having a deeper conversation with her mom.

Gizelle and Charrisse must have the same hairstylist. There are enough beauty supply stores in the DMV area selling human hair wigs for them to choose from. Candiace clocked Ashley. Ashley entered into a toxic relationship where trust was always an issue, so now she's projecting. Candiace knows and trusts her husband which is why she's been ignoring Ashley and Gizelle for the most part. Jacqueline and Wendy clocked Mia. She's a fake and a pathological liar. She worships money and is willing to embarrass herself and everyone else to get it. Robyn and Gizelle please be quiet with your hypocritical selves. You chastised Karen for her behavior but let Mia skate by after assaulting Wendy.

I wish they would put all of the dress/tux shopping in the matchmaking special. Shaq is attractive to me ,so I don't see Kirsten's issue. If she knew that she wouldn't have an open mind, she should not have signed up. On a superficial note the Preacher was hot. Nicole is a lot! She may just drive Chris crazy. Dollar Tree Chuck Norris' suit looked like he was going to the office, not his wedding. Hopefully it picks up next week, because this episode is dragging.

By his own admission he says he'll do something and then he doesn't follow through, which is probably why there's no cookbook. He said that his inability to follow through, frustrates Candiace. He also has multiple streams of income besides his job. Right now he seems to be making a lot of money off of sports betting. Someone called him out on Twitter earlier in the season for always trying to be friendly with people who hate his wife, especially Ashley. He said he knows now he was wrong and that he was going off of their off camera interactions. He knows better now. He said on the same live that he knows he can't go off on Gizelle and Ashley the way he really wants to. He knows that they'll spin it into they're scared because "a white man is disrespecting Black women".

A few months ago someone asked Candiace on her live, why she got involved in Mia and Jacqueline’s Twitter beef. She said that she's known her closest friends since high school and college and she can't imagine discarding any of them for a TV show. She said she was truly hurt for Jacqueline.

Candiace and Chris also attended Jacqueline's birthday party a few days later. Ashley said on WWHL that there's a lot going on behind the scenes between Karen and Robyn. I think your assessment of the situation is correct. A bitter former cast member is most likely the problem.

I know the woman who boasts about stealing her husband from his ex-wife isn't telling her friend to close her legs to married men. Mia is absolutely horrible. Now I see why Jacqueline's sister has been dragging Mia through the YouTube streets. Candiace was trying to be the peace maker, but some friendships just can't be repaired. My heart broke for Jacqueline. She looked so hurt and betrayed by Mia. The Candiace we're seeing on this trip, is the Candiace we her followers see on her Instagram lives. Just having fun and being silly. I do wish she would keep some things to herself, we don't need to know that she inspects her vagina in the mirror. So Karen was hurt that Charisse said something about her mother's funeral? I was trying to figure out what they were arguing about. ETA: I noticed it was only Wendy and Candiace consoling Jacqueline, even though she tried them in Miami. This episode explains how she and Candiace started developing a friendship.

Chris did an interview with "Hot and Messy Podcast": 1. One of the hosts Adam (Up &Adam) apologized to Chris and Candiace at Bravocon for the things he said on social media. He admitted that he had a skewed perception from all the social media drama during season 5. 2. Chris gave Candiace 5 years to use the show to launch her entertainment career. He's proud of her for fully utilizing her platform. 3. Chris originally thought they would show their fun side, but quickly realized where the edit was heading with Candiace. 4. He's happy that people are now seeing the real Candiace. 5. After Gizelle and Ashley started lying on him he decided to stop making himself available for filming. If he's available and in the mood he'll film at home with Candiace. 6. Like Candiace he's an emotional person and will curse you out on social media or in person. The only difference is he doesn't hold grudges while Candiace does. 7. When they argue he only needs 5 minutes to calm down, but she usually needs more time. They always come together to resolve the issue. 8. A lot more was said between them during their season 3 argument. However production cut out all the nasty things he said to Candiace and only focused on what she said. It took them 4 hours to resolve their argument. 9. The hosts said they would never want to argue with Candiace because they would need a Thesaurus to find the meaning of some of the words she uses. Chris admitted he has to Google a lot of the words she uses too. 10. When they argue Candiace pinches him hard enough to leave bruises, but he loves every minute of it. It's taking him longer to write and publish his book because he doesn't use measurements. Plus 4 different publishers have told him there's a paper shortage. He thinks it's possible that they don't like his content and they're being nice. 13. Candiace has shown him by example, if he puts his mind to something he can achieve it. He loves how motivated she is. 14. If they left the show today he's not worried because he knows between them they have enough money to comfortably pay their mortgage. He shaded some of the cast by saying "That can't be said for some of the others on the show." 15. He's happy he didn't hear Michael threatening the woman he "mistook" for Candiace, because he would have "beat his ass" right then and there. Sigh Candiace told this man not to say what he would've done and here he goes. Smh 16. He's ready to give Ashley and Gizelle a piece of his mind at the reunion. 17. Last year was hard on their marriage because Candiace was traveling for her entertainment career and finishing school. They were eventually able to carve out time for them. 18. He was sick for a few weeks (he still sounded sick), but he'll resume posting his cooking videos on social media and YouTube. 19. People telling him on social media to stay out of "women's business" irks his soul, especially when he's the topic of conversation. 20. He's side eyeing Andy for having everyone on to address the rumors except for him and Candiace. 21. He's grateful that he and Candiace have a supportive marriage. They're always encouraging each other. 22. He never wants to own another restaurant because it's too time consuming. He would rather be the GM or an investor. He may change his mind. Candiace was supportive the last time he owned a restaurant and he knows she'll be supportive if he changes his mind. 23. If they were to go on any other franchise he could see them going to Atlanta or Salt Lake City. Atlanta because that's where Candiace is from, he's friends with Todd, Ralph and Heath and the ladies supported Candiace when she was on tour in Atlanta. SLC because she's friends with Whitney and Heather.
