I miss the stand out stars of seasons past too, but I still love the rookie classes from season 6 onward. This past rookie class from season 13 is impeccable! I recall the finalists at solo round in the earlier seasons relying heavily on props and can't get some of the costumes and gimmicks out of my memory lol 😂 (Who remembers 'Cat Woman' and 'Police Woman' 😅) Having said that there were so many exemplary, legendary DCC from that period. The talent is still strong and the ladies hold their own and at least the props and Halloween costumes seem to be for the most part a thing of the past although when I watch the older seasons it does make me lol 😁 Totally agree in that I don't want any of the vets to get cut. I love rooting for an underdog as well so even the perceived 'Weaker' veteran candidates would get through this year if it were up to me lol. Everyone seems to have had a good year and all of the current DCC have their own strengths so there are no obvious foreseeable casualties to me but that's just my opinion!

So Maddie said on last week's podcast that 29 or so are going on Calendar Shoot, I wonder if that includes Lauren? 🤔 As if she is reauditioning too then she likely won't participate in the shoots, as she didn't last year. So there are about 5 more to announce retirements, with swimsuit fittings around the corner I hope we will find out by then who those are! Robin had announced by this time last year her decision to retire, they seem to be keeping quiet this year but I'm curious to see if there will be any surprise, unanticipated retirements we did not forsee (Though the other 5 DCC retiring will most likely have been anticipated). I'm also curious to see if there will be any shocking cuts at finals (Or SEVERAL returning vets cut) as everyone seems to have had a good year and it has been relatively drama free compared to last year! Despite this right now there are seemingly only 7 spots open for rookies, unless they take more than 36 or a vet gets cut. I don't think they have had a rookie class that small since the show started. The smallest they took was 8 in season 5 so they haven't had that small a rookie class in a while. All the vets made it back to TC that year so it could happen again. I can't wait to see it all play out, as it will be a bloodbath at finals YET again this year!! Just hope they don't cut half the vets Lol Jk I can't begin to imagine the hysteria and outrage in the DCC world if that happened! No doubt everyone will bring it and will be showcasing their unique talent and the competition will be fierce I'm sure! I'm excited to see which familiar faces turn up to auditions, there are loads I would love to see make triumphant returns. I hope it is the year of the Comeback Girl again! I noticed Natalie Woods posting about auditions a lot too!! With her being being a producer on the show it makes me think that it is perhaps likely the show is coming back!! 😊 Fingers crossed!

I really liked her too, I'm happy she is pursuing acting but sad we likely won't be seeing her audition again! Although who knows, she may decide to give it another go somewhere down the line but I think she is moving on!

Kate Kapshandy from season 12? 😊 Off topic but always thought it strange that she cheered on The New York Jets Flight Crew with Savannah and Tara, but they never even mentioned her prior cheer experience on the show, instead they were more interested in her ballroom dancing. I liked her. She said she would do a ballroom move if she made it past prelims LOL 😄

It appears that Former TCC from Seasons 8 and 11 and Former Mavs Dancer Emily Roslyn has turned her hand to acting and started studying it in 2017! I found this profile when I was searching to see if she was still on Instagram (She seems to have disappeared from Social Media).

I was looking at the old squads and realised today that The Real Housewives of Dallas' Brandi Nace, who cheered between the years of 2000-2006 was absent from the squad for the 2003-2004 season and came back the next year as Brandi Redmond with veteran status. I know Whitney Ott did the same in the 2005 special (returned as a vet after some time out). If Jenna Allison had made the team in season 11 after getting cut as a vet in season 7, or if any former vet decided to try out again this year would they also then be considered a returning vet (if they successfully made the team again)? Also a lot of the cameos and squad photos from the early 2000s and pre Making The Team look so dated now to me lol considering they are not really THAT old haha. 😂Still love looking at the old vintage squads though! 😊

Would we usually have more retirement announcements by this time of the year? Seems like nobody is announcing this year! Anyone know when Calendar shoot is taking place this year for a definitive answer as to who is retiring?

I would love to see more focus on the stand out, show group rookies who experience very few problems during TC as opposed to as much heavy focus on the TCCs who will be eventually cut. Would love to see more segments on the Vets we love as we did with Amy and Tasha last season! For example, show us how the previous year's rookies are transitioning into becoming Vets instead of having them somewhat disappear into the background of group dance scenes. Additionally, more light shed on the choosing of first and second Group Leaders and let us see more of the Leaders in action! Love that the last few seasons have shown the placement of pyramid positions and point girl! Perhaps more team bonding scenes outside of practice like we saw in earlier seasons. Loved last Season's insertion of what certain Former DCC are doing now into each episode. Show us the appointment of boot buddies and how they bond during Training Camp. Finally, I enjoy the Makeovers and etiquette training, would love to see a bit more of those!

Rewatching this episode now and when Milan is telling Kitty about her 4.0 and the girls applaud her, you can see Simone confused in the background asking Stephanie what Milan said, and you can see her happily mouthing 4.0 to Simone as they cheer her on! ? LOL ? OMG the things I notice on this show I've clearly watched the episodes too many times haha ? having said that I love catching these little cute moments in the background! Anyone else ever notice anything that others haven't in the background of scenes? ? I'd love to hear!!

Oh no, trust me, me liking her isn't based purely on aesthetics. I, myself, suffer from depression and severe debilitating anxiety. I don't just know people with the same affliction. I personally messaged Hannah to thank her for sharing her story and also shared mine with her (after the episode aired). She kindly acknowledged me, which is how I know she is a sweet person. I thanked her for using her platform to speak out about such issues she has faced, and it also gave me the courage to speak out about my struggles. Her story has touched me more than you know.
