  1. Hi there. I just have found this show (after binge watching Broadchurch and Shetland). One thing I have noticed on this show, and I am only 3 shows in, just finished the one with the body in quarry, is why do they make the lead detectives staff idiots? Obviously it is hard to commit suicide with a shotgun and if a van was stuck in the woods for 6 months, it would be weathered and the tires would be flat. I don’t know what the benefit to the story is. Just to highlight how brilliant the outsider brooding detective is? I don’t like it when characters are written so they are stupid. Naive I can understand, but purposely dumb I don’t get. What are your thoughts? Am I just being too hard on it?
  2. Okay, since the show is cancelled, part of me thinks this is what someone wanted all along. (There is soap opera and then there are total cl*sterf*cks where none of the characters are redeemable. Man alive.) How will they wrap this up? S/G will be together but continue like Rayna and Deacon, the early years, without the drinking. Will will finally get to perform and get several grammy's. (That man needs a summer party song to launch his career. No more of the ambiguous relationship songs. Give him something happy and fun.). Layla will continue to have a modicum of success but will end up hosting a song writers night at the Holiday Inn. Avery will recognize that Layla is just a little crazy, but she will still call him to check the monitors at her songwriters night. And he will be successful as a producer. Juliette and Avery will get back together of course and they will have two more kids. And Juliette will be a better mother than she ever thought she could be. Teddy will get out of prison and take Daphne because Rayna is off the rails. In some ways an ex-con looks like a better parenting choice than Rayna and her self centered/Maddie centered life. Maddie will hit the skids and will run into the Homeless Musician Girl. And at this point, Maddie will be over 21 so she can bar back at Layla's songwriters night. And of course, Rayna and Deacon will weather thru all of this drama. Because of love, soul mate, blah, blah, blah. All in fun.
  3. "dedicated to Foregone Conclusion House for the musically inclined but economically disadvantaged. (Big fundraiser concert starring Juliette Barnes as the season finale?)" So most of East Nashville? :-)
  4. I read Elton John is suppose to be on the show. Arrgghh. I feels very "jump the shark" like. I want the show to continue! Even with some of the annoying characters. What are your thoughts?
  5. What a weird show. Not sure if Maddie could be more tone deaf to her sister. (I know she has issues after having sex and he hasn't called, etc., but really I'm over the middle school drama.). Starting to feel creepy with Cash around all the time trying to separate Maddie from her boyfriend (now ex) and her sister. Boyfriend (can never remember his name) is having issues of his own - his dad may have to go to prison for failing to pay the IRS. She should know how that feels. :-). And there is no way a 16 year old wrote that song about her first time, when she is still 16. Her character doesn't seem like she could write that. She has no world experience and it was too mature for her character. Maybe if we saw her, I don't know, read a book and whine less, I might could believe she wrote it. I want to know what school the girls go to, because they never have homework or projects. I do wish Riff (?) had called Frankie up on stage to remind Deacon that he is a great singer in his own right. (And I loved me some Mark Collie back in the day.) Also not sure last week (was it just last week) about rednecks throwing bottles at the bar at Will. I don't know any bar/club here in Nashville that would allow heckling like that to continue. I am glad WIll told the "We R GAY & We Sign Anyone Whose Gay" record label No. That was always a concern about Will - about being labeled a gay artist and not just an artist. So good for him. It would have really pigeon holed him and he is talented enough to be bigger than that. I wish Rayna would just sign him already. Re: Layla - please find someone closer to her own age for her to like. Maybe someone who will help her dress in something other than black. Her revenge game is strange. I was hoping by knowing Juliette was in rehab would help change her mind as to the game. But she hasn't found her soul yet so I guess game on. Finally, don't know why they made such a big deal about the Scarlett and Gunter writing credit. That seemed pretty solvable with a text between them, not all the time they got.
