  1. If Lonnie is so worried about being forgotten, he should sell his crap and donate the money to a hospital for a new wing that would be named after him, or to a college for a new building. Also, sounds like Linda will be back to amassing crap again in under six months.
  2. Brian Voltaggio is a very nice man. He's from Maryland and started his flagship restaurant Volt in Frederick. He gives back to the community all the time.
  3. I gave up on this show three episodes ago and this recap makes me feel OK about that decision.
  4. And now I'm sad because I fully believed Jon Taffer wrote this (at least until I got halfway through the second one).
  5. Sorry, Allison, but your study is statistically invalid unless you include an examination of the Baldwin sisters' "recipe" on The Waltons.
  6. What a dirtbag. I really wish Nev and Max had marched *inside* this guy's parents' home and clued them in on what their son was up to. He's an adult, but still.
  7. I watched the first season and enjoyed it. Fired up the first episode of the second season and found myself thinking, "Damn, this is like a chore to watch." I'll put it at arm's length for a few months and then come back to it.
  8. I watched the entire season mainly for the music. I found Richie's self-destructive behavior, the gangster financing story lines, and the mean-spirited stuff sprinkled in ("Get to the buffet before Mama Cass") just tiresome. Not surprised or sorry that HBO pulled the plug on it.
  9. I was actually clenched during the Jon Snow-Sansa Stark reunion scene, because I was convinced someone was going to jump out of the shadows and stab them both. I was that convinced the Game of Thrones writers weren't going to let us have this. Daario had such a flat, American accent in this episode. Has he always sounded like that?
  10. What the fresh hell is this? This is a birth announcement? Dear God.
  11. Also they don't utilize Sister Monica Joan enough, but when she's on, she's a national treasure.
  12. This show has always been hard to watch, but this season in particular has been brutal. I'm afraid to tune in next week to see what brutalities will be visited on the community. I thought thalidomide would be the worst plot. Boy, was I stupid.
  13. I enjoy the recaps more than the actual show, mainly because when I watch it in real time I'm constantly thinking, "What is wrong with these people?"
  14. Didn't we learn earlier in the season that Freda is Frank Gathers' daughter?
  15. Chuck's psychosis is fascinating. He can apparently power through it occasionally (though not in the copy shop, I guess because he was still worn out from going to the bank hearing and the stress of dealing with the aftermath of *that*). I hope he's not dead.
