  1. I agree and he probably would have gone had Richard not self-eliminated.
  2. They seem to be going down the same rabbit hole as last time. There's got to be a way to do this so it's more fair across the board. I'll be curious to see what happens on the second epi since they've kept all the cooks. I really want them to have everyone do challenges where they are using the same type of ingredients (tweaked to respect any dietary or religious needs). That would be a better gauge. Doing it the way they did last season is too random.
  3. Yes, the task force doesn't seem to be doing much arresting of folks nowadays. I'm almost inclined to agree with the congressman. So it's going to be Dembe being an FBI agent that takes the task force down? I still don't buy that Red will let the task force get hung out to dry especially Dembe or Cooper (for Agnes' sake). Red has already had to tap dance out of being called a snitch for the FBI before I can't imagine what would happen if the congressman does indeed out him as the FBI's big squealer while he's planning his retirement with Weecha... Red has a funny way of dissolving businesses but I guess it was easier having the task force take his organization down than it would have been to just walk away from it and let them fight it out amongst themselves? At least the folks got a party out of it (though Red does seem to have given them and the others a severance package). The finale really better be worth it after all this filler (though we did get a little movement on what the ending is headed towards this epi).
  4. Which makes no sense. Why didn't the TPTB just negotiate with the network for a half season? Instead you have a chunk of the season dumped in the summer season which is usually dead for network tv unless you count all the game shows and talent shows and it's not because the show doesn't have enough for syndication purposes... They'd have been better off doing fewer eps and making a tighter season to wrap up without all this filler and burn off which can't be getting NBC any decent ratings and is expecting a lot of the remaining audience.
  5. So basically all these cases to lead to Blair Foster? Why does Red have to be so roundabout?
  6. So Blair Foster is going to feed information to the congressman for what in return? Well, I hope he enjoys being beholden to her... Again with Weecha? Obviously Red seems to be setting himself up to retire/sail into the sunset but is he really going to let an upstart congressman and Foster take down the task force? Even if he's getting ready to go, I can't believe he'd leave Cooper (who's looking after Agnes) out to dry or Dembe or any of the others for that matter.
  7. More filler and no one missed Weecha and why the heck didn't Red just tell Siya in the first place instead of trying to be byzantine about it... It's pretty bad when your wife has to bring you a case (also, what was up with that bad wig?) to help keep some senator's investigation at bay. So the blacklister was stealing dowries from unsuspecting immigrant women, having them go through with fake marriages and then worry over the disappearance of their husbands because she got conned out of her dowry herself? I agree with Dembe, she could have done something helpful to warn or help potential victims instead.
  8. The Blacklist Sets July Airdate for Supersized Series Finale at NBC
  9. Eh, still cheaper than what goes into the DoD budget - talk about fraud, waste and abuse and pretty much no oversight. I'm glad the Remy drama is over but I found it odd that they just threw in some throwaway bank robbery/hostage situation. And yes, there was no reason to focus on the Jewish aspect of the family. They were scum and I hope they and the DA do a lot of time. And yes, the DA's actions are going to be called into question and a lot of cases are going to get reopened, thrown out or at least trigger lawsuits. Let's hope that next season they leave Remy's personal drama out of this show but I get the feeling that won't happen and then was there any resolution to Hannah's off the books stuff?
  10. Yes, the cliches, nothing like only three agents going into a big, creepy cemetery at night with no back up. Ugh. Also, that looked like a big mausoleum. Glad that Nina and the baby were okay. As for Scola choosing Nina over the baby, there were ways to go with that storyline if it had played out but shows like this really don't need that kind of personal drama. All-in-all, a good season finale with no cliffhangers.
  11. He's supposed to be doing a remake of Zorro which I thought would start last year...
  12. Of course Maggie was going to escape... So I'm curious how they are going to work Sam Hannah into this version of NCIS next season. Also, is Agent John Swift going to make a return based on his phone call with which ever entity he was talking to at the end? All in all, this shook out pretty much how I suspected it would (so I won't go into the how, what, where, who that things that happen on shows/movies do that would never work in real life [like bending time]).
  13. This was fine up until the end with the Torres family drama which I figured was coming up when he immediately had to call his sister after he got back to HQ. Moody Torres is not a good storyline for this show.
  14. I also find the senator's crusade about the money being spent on an FBI task force laughable considering how much money the government allocates to the DoD and the amount of money they spend on equipment from private companies with pretty much no oversight at ridiculous mark-ups.
  15. So, your last season and you're doing filler episodes? Really, show? Also, are we supposed to care about Siya and her mommy issues? I also think the nosy senator is another distraction that won't go anywhere so why waste time on him? Obviously, Red is up to something but what I have no idea.
  16. It was an ok finale but yes, the show could have gone off several seasons ago but yes, it did keep people employed. I didn't expect to see Linda Hunt but it was nice seeing Nell and Nate and even Sabatino. It'll be interesting to see what projects some of the cast members can wind up in or maybe what other directions they choose to take their careers/lives.
  17. I don't necessarily mind the CIA stuff but this was overkill. Also, wasn't Robyn calling for backup; what happened to that? I also liked the Aunt Vi/Dee storyline. It would be interesting to see if Aunt Vi is going to try and help the guy.
  18. I agree this was a good way to wrap the season and would have worked as a series finale as well. Glad Tim Hutton's character wasn't the bad guy. Steven Bauer has not aged well. I know he's been through some stuff but it definitely took a toll. This show has been pretty consistent in that you don't anticipate that even when one of the team is in jeopardy or injured, you know they'll survive, lol, so there's no real fear.
  19. So Folsom with help from his loser family friend Trey find out who killed his mom and the other woman and then he doesn't turn him over to the police and let the chips fall? He's out at his old place looking at his mom's pic and the guy's body has been found in the dumpster dead with three guesses as to who did it... There are several characters on this reboot that are annoying as all get out but they've made Folsom a complete moron. Assuming this show is coming back next season TPTB need to work on making their CSIs not total and complete losers. They're all too old to act as juvenile and unhinged as they do considering they're supposed to be professionals. Also, while it was nice to see the veteran CSI members, this version just didn't utilize them well so if the show is trying to reach out to any former members, they should seriously consider thinking twice.
  20. That was the issue with her this whole season. One moment she'd sound fine and then she'd go off the rails. She was rarely, if ever, consistent in her tone and that was annoying. It also seemed like she staid in the same lane song-wise and rarely got out of her comfort zone. I get it's just a silly show but it just seems like TPTB gave up and decided that Medusa would be the anointed one regardless of who she went up against.
  21. My mom asked me who Bishop Briggs was and I told her I didn't know... That means nothing of course but I was hoping Macaw would win. Oh, well. I don't know why Medusa had to win but something definitely seems off. It was nice to see while Nick was shirtless we didn't see all of his chest like when he usually pulls that. Robin needed to button up a button. And no Jenny, that was not NPH.
  22. I was in and out as well. This and the shows that show children being abused is something else I don't care to watch. I know these things happen but for some shows it's like their bread and butter and I just don't watch. I'm also hoping that they wrap up the Remy's brother storyline for the season finale.
  23. Unfortunately, I think Charlie 1 is truly dead since that looked like a head shot. I liked him as well. I'm not sure why the show is dragging Jane's old CIA stuff out though yes, it's an excuse to shoehorn in Maggie. We got to see a Jane's daughter again briefly. I hope this pays off and unlike the other NCIS shows that like to drag up and keep ongoing stories going in perpetuity, I truly hope this is a one and done.
  24. I also liked how Robyn resolved the issue with her dad's killer. So that scum bag didn't die and now Dante's being investigated. Really? Aren't they supposed to have CSI's that investigate the probability of a person being able to throw another person off of a building and land in a certain spot? Loved Robyn's earrings this epi. Also, I know nothing about cars but would the tires actually still have air in them after nearly 30 years?
  25. Didn't we already have some sort of Dembe back story? Oh well, more filler eps in your final season isn't great. And yes, no congressman should know about some supposedly off the books black site but whatever show. They are spending an awful lot of time having Red visit Agnes.
