I loved it. LOVED it. Sure, I would have rather Frank go home than Chet, but Chet is annoying as hell too, so I'll take it. I think Frank may end up getting his with this new format.
When the challengers were flipping the cards, I was giddy. Giddy, I tell you. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. Should be interesting.
The only thing I would have liked to see differently. Secret vote, like on cutthroat. That needs brought back.
As for the challengers. I don't watch the real world, so I'm basing this solely on what I saw last night, as far as rookies.
Can't wait to see Latoya go. No class. At all.
Nia seemed pretty cool. But did it show a clip of her hitting people on her season? And she stayed around?

Piping up to say I would really like a boards thread. I think being able to discuss other going on about the show, especially articles or blogs or podcasts, is important. If, like has been said before, it can be done in a peaceful and mature manner.

I have so many thoughts about last night. Oh, where to even begin...
I thought Candace got hosed on her scores. Her quickstep looked great to me, and I felt terrible for Tony when those scores came up. He generally gets a lot of slack for not being a great choreographer, and I agree that he isn't on the level of a lot of the pros as far as choreo goes, but I saw nothing that warranted Candace getting lower than Cody, Drew, or a few others. Maybe because they went first? Anyway, I think her fan base can pull her through, I just felt bad for them both.
NeNe's jazz...wtf was that? For all of Derek's brilliance, and while I don't like him much, I CAN recognize that he is a master at what he does, but that dance was just crap. He gets the least skilled dancer for the switch up and her gets to pull that out of his ass instead of having to teach her an actual ballroom dance. So, who gets the upper hand on this show? No, not Derek. Never Derek. Please. If anyone was phoning it in this week, it was him.
Speaking of, go back and crawl under your rock, Julianne, and take your ugly eyebrows with you. I couldn't even look at her last night without staring at the difference between her eyebrows and hair. I will be honest, I didn't like Danica's dance at all. She was running around too much. But what Julianne said was extremely rude and jut downright bitchy. I agree w the poster above who said the dance was very Maks. It was. He's known for doing a lot of "mucking about" or whatever Len says, and often gets reamed for it. I hate when he does it, because I think Maks is better than that. But did he do it just because it was switch week? I don't think so. And would he try and screw Val over? I'd bet a year's salary that's a big NO.
Val. And. Meryl. were awesome. All of the ladies in my department are talking about them this morning. I hope that dance will light a fire under Maks, choreo-wise.
Peta made Charlie seem skeevy. How do you even do that?
Loves Sharna telling Cody to pull his pants up. Sharna, I love you even more now.
Whitney and Drew were cute, I was a little bored by James/Cheryl.
Amy and mark. Mark schooled Derek, in my eyes, and I loved it. He had her moving on her own, covering the floor. It was wonderful. I really like Amy, and I wish she were with another dance partner. I loved how it was brought up that Derek choreographs to make himself hide his partner a lot of the time.
Macy's. the dance was pretty f ing cool. I do enjoy the Macy's dancing, but not if they are going to be "starring Derek Hough" every week.
Looking forward to Disney week next week. I love anything Disney. Please, Lord, let Maks and Meryl dress up as Aladdin and Jasmine. Hmm. Val and Danica as Beauty and the Beast. Candace as Cinderella. Amy as Merida. Okay okay I'll stop now. Haha.

Why not just stay off that site? Hate's nasty so imo it's just best to stay away from it when possible. We aren't talking human rights here so why not just discuss your favorites and the good and bad about the show? I guess low to no board dragging is something I'm totally going to miss about TWOP :(
I never go to their site. But I see things they post and comments they make RTd on twitter by people I follow, and I used to go to their site quite often, before I got cursed at by one of the mods for voicing my opinion and disagreeing with her, so I know exactly how they operate.
Plus, I think they are part of discussing what I don't like, because these people cause fan wars all the time. They're toxic, and I think lambasting the producers of DWTS about the switch up voting when they are the ones who got things wrong is one of the most amazingly ridiculous things I've ever seen. I've seen people say they actually wanted TMZ to report on the producers fixing results! I wonder if Conrad Green could sue them for slander?

I've seen all the tweets and blog posts about the switch-up as well, and I was not shocked that Pure would not give any credence to results other than their own. Those women will NEVER admit they were wrong about anything. What started as a wonderful, insightful DWTS fan site has been ruined by the woman who also mainly runs the Derek site. It has been her influence that has made the readers and other mods at Pure become the way they are-and she is respected for it there! Many fans of other pros have been run off through the years, myself included. Some of their most loyal posters from the beginning don't dare post there anymore, because they will be publicly humiliated and degraded if they post anything that disagrees with the mods or something Derek does. I'm just glad that site is finally being seen for what they really are-pathetic bullies.

Hated Emily and James, loved Lori, loved Tonya because she wasn't crazy this challenger. Wish Jamie would have been able to use his lifesaver on Veronica just to piss Emily off.

I'd def be down with Vanessa, Brenda, or David.
I'd also love to see Cassie Scerbo or Josie Loren from Make It Or Break It, or any of the girls from Pretty Little liars. The show has connections to those shows now through Candace Cameron and Brant D. Cassie or Josie would probably be more likely, and I think they'd both rock it. Either one of them with Val would be amazing!!
I've wanted to see one of the Mowery sisters on here forever. I'll take either, I like them both.
One of the guys from College Game Day! Erin needs to convince one of them to do the show. Except Corso, keep him away.
Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan would be great. I follow her on twitter and know she wants to do the show. She grew up dancing, but not ballroom. She would have some natural talent though, and is really personable and down to earth, at least she is via twitter. I bet the audience would connect with her. She knows Chris Harrison, so there is another ABC connection.

Hi Folks. TWoP lurker (and snark lover) who defected from pure after about 5 min. Equal snark for everybody so I love the freedom to speak my mind :) ::group hug::
PureDWTS is AWFUL. If you are not in love with Derek, the mods and their minions skewer you. Not to mention they won't accept any logic other than their twisted brand of it.
Glad we can all convene here and discuss DWTS, with differing opinions, without being rude and making people feel like outsiders :)

I have a question for y'all! Maks and Meryl's foxtrot. I've seen it said that it was not a foxtrot at all, and also thy it was an (I think) international foxtrot, which has never been done on the show. Which is correct? I know nothing about ballroom except what I see on DWTS

Liked the episode, but still can't warm to Brody at all. I think I would like the character better with a different actress.
Tvline reported lower ratings (by NCIS standards, I guess) for last night, so I'm hoping that doesn't deter for a season pick up for NOLA

Peta and James' dance was fun, and I lovethe song, but I just can't root for Peta. She bugs.
Maks and Meryl were sizzling! I mean, they're dance was hot! First time I've really been completely draw to Meryl.
I found that Charlie and Drew couldn't hold my attention. Surprising.
Cody and Witney were cute, but what in the hell was she wearing? That was such an unflattering cut for the shorts, and dot the pros help design their costumes? Way bad judgement, Witney. Also, I admit to thinking that surfboard song was catchy. ::ducks tomatoes::
Candace and Mark disappointed me. Can't believe they saved them for last. That was a weak jive, Candace. I think she can do it, she's just so timid in her movements. C'mon girl, show us what you've got!
Val and Danica. I didn't like the dog, or te fact that se brought her son, who was obviously scared half to death, on stage. Danica is just annoying, IMO. Man, I could watch Val all day. And all night. He's so yummy.
Tony was looking pretty yummy last night as well. My eyes were on him, not NeNe. I told my husband it's so funny when Derek and mark come out shirtless (and I say this as a mark fan) and look like little boys, and when Tony and Maks and Val come out they look like MEN. Mr Pumpkinspice didn't seem to enjoy that comment. Oh well.
Amy. I love Amy. I do. She's beautiful and inspiring and strong and just all around awesome. I liked the dance and loved the song. To my eyes though, she barely moved her legs. I know she was using new feet w pointed toes, but that was their choice. It just seemed like it was a lot of Derek lifting and pulling and placing her. I even feel crummy for having that opinion, sort of. But it's what I saw.
How the hell does the switch up thing work? We don't know who is paired together until they dance next week??
Ps-so long Billy Dee and Emma. You are so gracious, and lovable. I hope Billy Dee feels better soon!

I'm another Challenge addict. I can not quit this stupid show. I haven't watch the Real World since...I think Hollywood. (RIP Joey)
I love Laurel. She's one of my faves. Couldn't stand her until she went off on Paula during Rivals, and then I was instantly on team Laurel, because I also love Cara Maria. Can't stand Diem. She seems so fake and vapid to me. HATED Jenn, hope she's gone for good. Wish we'd see Svetlana on another challenge.
On the guys side, so tired of Johnny. GTFO, Bananas. Love Landon, and wish he would come back. Used to love Derrick from Xtreme, until he became a JEK groupie. I find Wes hilariously entertaining, though he can be a cocky little twerp a lot of the time.
More thoughts when the new season airs. I'm excited. Damn it.

I am so tired of Derek. He seems like a nice guy, and he's one hell of a dancer. But I am so over him winning or even getting to the top 5. It's predictable and boring at this point.

I've always liked Maks. He has those moments for sure, when I want to scream at him to shut his pie hole, but I usually find him likable, talented, and charismatic. Not to mention insanely good looking. ::drools::

I haven't thought Candace was being judgemental at all. Unless I've missed something, she's only spoken about herself, not any of te other celebs or pros. Just on the show, I mean. I haven't read any of her books or interviews.

I'm really enjoying Candace. I could do without the "everything is for Jesus" talk, but I do support her in not wanting to dress too provocatively. Being sexy and beautiful does not equal dressing in dental floss like Peta. I just wish Canace would say t was because she herself doesn't feel comfortable, and not act like Jesus would care who wore what on a glittery dancing show.
I like her partnership with Mark, because I feel like mark is very supportive and caring with his partners. I think Candace has great natural ability, to my untrained eye at least, and she definitely needs some work, but I think Mark can pull it out of her. I worry about her getting screwed with this stupid switch up.
I'm very tired of the fake rivalry about an old boyfriend and Danica when they were TWEENS for crying out loud. Not that I think that is on Candace, or Danica either, but good grief.

I was hesitant about NCIS LA, and ended up not taking to it at all. However, I think New Orleans is promising. Maybe it's because I grew up in Alabama, and know the Gulf coast area very well. I did like most of the characters. I wasn't interested in Brody. She seemed very blah to me. I don't know if it was the hair or plain makeup or what, but I couldn't get into her. The only thing that made me pay attention was that she knew Gibbs, and I do want to see what that is all about. I also liked King's relationship with Gibbs.
Looking forward to part 2 of Crescent City. NCIS original recipe is pretty stale for me these days, so this ep with the new NOLA team was welcome.

::waves:: Hi, Everyone! TWoP lurker here, gonna come out of hiding and post more! So happy to find this site, I was beside myself thinking of TWoP shutting down and not getting to read wonderful insight on my favorite shows!
I've been voting on the switch up, primarily for Meryl/Val, just because I don't want her with Derek. I don't want Derek anywhere near the finals, though I'm sure he'll make it there no matter who he dances with. Golden Boy, be gone!
This season I'm loving Candace and Charlie, and I do enjoy Meryl, though for some reason, something about her rubs me the wrong way. I can't put my finger in what. I like James but can't stand Peta, so I'm a little stuck there. I'm sort of excited at seeing him with another pro. My fave pros are Karina and Emma (I don't vote for Billy Dee though, as there are other celebs I like more, and I try and skew my voting toward my favorite celebs, they only get one season). Oh, and I'm a closet Mark fan. There, I've admitted it! I think he's a cutie who is just as creative as Derek and doesn't get nearly the credit for it. Mark did annoy me season 12 though. He almost lost me then

S25.E02: Love In The Fast Lane
in The Challenge
I thought it was a pretty good episode. I'm happy with who went home, because I didn't like either of them. Emilee trying to seduce Dustin was revolting, knowing that he was semi-involved with Jessica. She really just came off as a desperate whore. Had to laugh at Nany calling it like she saw it, too.
A little disappointed in Laurel for te maybe kiss with Jordan, because she could do SO much better.
I was really surprised that CT even had a bar tab. I had no idea they had to buy their own drinks at the bar, for some reason I assumed BMP covered everything. Huh.
The Camilla/Nany fight was odd. It showed an ugly side of Nany I don't think I've seen before. I couldn't understand anything Camila said, but I think I heard a "I have my own house" from CT? So I gathered Camilla was harping on him about something to do with Diem, because I've read that CT and Diem are together but keeping it hush hush in public, an aren't Camilla and Diem friends? Anyway, that was my thought process.
Cohutta is adorable. I love Jonna, but if she thinks Laurel is gonna be scared that she's gunning for her...yeah. Right.
