  1. I enjoyed it, although I admit the more you think about some parts of it the less sense it makes. But I enjoyed it anyway. If they make another season I could see them having a different lead, but using WYL for flashbacks at least, and perhaps each season would tie into Quell's speech about finding "useful locals" (or however she phrased it) to accomplish whatever XYZ goal of the season is, some of them being "expendable".
  2. Couple things cross my mind... - So was the woman that was killed when Kovacs was arrested in Ep 1 NOT anyone significant? I have only watched the first episode the one time but I assumed that woman was actually Quellcrist but it seems that isn't so. - Can we be sure that Rei is actually who she says she is and not just someone wearing her skin? - Is the Patchwork Man some metaphor for these Meths (btw can someone explain that nickname, I don't get the etymology of it) who are cannibalizing off of the ground dwellers to keep themselves going? - Is it still considered cheating if you sleep with your SO's body when your SO's mind is not inside of it? lolol
  3. OH! Thanks, I knew I heard the name Grigg. That makes more sense, I guess Grigg didn't die, I suppose we did see him crawl out from his hiding place but he did have that bullet wound!
  4. I thought they said they were reporting that Frank Griffin died in a shootout with GRIGG the newspaper man, not Roy Goode? Did I mishear?
  5. Interesting aside, why did Kentucky Friend Chicken change to KFC? https://www.snopes.com/lost/kfc.asp
  6. This was so boring. ANd they expect us to pay for this? I don't know that I would have watched episode 2 if it was free. I agree The Orville is much more true to the spirit of Star Trek.
  7. I think the men's perspectives are important precisely because they are not happy, either... point being, we are ALL better off when ALL are treated equally. Even the oppressors got more than they bargained for.
  8. Apparently Babylon 5 is now streaming for free on Go90.com !!! So excited.
  9. I actually liked this. The decision to wake her up was wrong ethically but I think most people would make the same choice if not after 1 year maybe after 5 or 10 or 20. If they didn't lose their minds first. I do wonder why they didnt propose trading off time in the doctor tube one year at a time alone. 44yrs each. They could be alive upon arrival. And maybe spend a day or week a year together before the other goes back in the pod.
  10. I think that was Harold Camping. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_end_times_prediction Pretty sure he was the one who had billboards all over. I also happened upon his radio show once or twice when driving in the middle of nowhere at night. I believe on the day in question I was at a dog show - nothing happened. I had passed a billboard about it on the way through Philadelphia that day.
  11. Just watched this last night. Definitely need some brain bleach. ANd to think I was muttering "why am I watching this?" last ep when they nailed his hand to the table. To me this show really smacks of fanfic... both the highs and the lows. I may continue watching season 2 but not sure since I have to get it on DVD from Netflix. I am notoriously slow with my DVDs...
  12. Hello. Breech baby here. Footling in fact and born naturally in 1983. Suffered a broken collarbone in the process which healed. And is a good reason why now they recommend csections. My sister two years later was also breech. Incredibly she was born buttocks first with her legs pointing upwards towards her head. She was in a hospital for a month afterwards but was okay. My mother's first and fourth children were boys born head first. My aforementioned sister is now a doctor herself and can't believe my mom was allowed to deliver naturally lol. Incidentally I breed small dogs (pomeranians) and do have a lot of trouble with foot first puppies' heads getting stuck even though that is supposedly a normal presentation. But yes its quite possible for a human woman to deliver a footling without a csection as in this episode but there may be consequences.
  13. LOL that was just me too watching this episode on Amazon. I was like wait what? I sometimes get distracted by my phone but i scrolled through the whole episode and this scene does not exist in amazon's cut.
  14. I would be disappointed in any show that gave away secrets about its major characters in the first 3-4 episodes...
  15. I can't help but think either Derek Zoolander was based on this man, or vice versa. He gives the same wide-eyed "looks". He is more intelligent though. But I am always reminded of that movie when he is on screen...
