  1. I may eat my words later on, but is it me or does Ashley sound like she is almost tired of Don’s trifling ass?
  2. I concur with everything everyone has said about this show in the thread. As an avid Harlen Coben novel reader (he is one of, if not my favorite writer) so the premise for this show started out pretty good, however, when you get to why the daughter is doing what she is doing, it makes NO SENSE AT ALL. Please tell me that there aren't kids or people that are this entitled. So your mom dies and you find out this secret she's holding and decide to confront everyone involved. Like in what universe?!! When I realized Jenny was still alive I began to get annoyed. Like girl go home and STFU. None of this would have happened if you just left all this shit alone.
  3. Am I the only one that cant stand Tracy. She's the mom of the basketball player that was killed in the first episode. She is so rude to the guy that got shot because she sent him on wild chase to catch her sons killer, and then when he does what she asks, and get her sons phone, she acts as if she did no such thing. I also am not becoming to fond of Brandon's ex girlfriend. I get that you don't want to get wrapped up hood justice, however, just hear him out. In my opinion, her behavior comes across as she wanted out of the relationship and used the gun as an excuse. I wish they did some back story on why Jake is being raised by his brother alone, like where are their parents. He needs guidance and his brother is not a good example. Am I the only that cant tell if Andrea actually likes Kevin, who is beyond cute. I love Maisha too, she likes Kevin but he doesn't like her back. And I felt so bad for her at the skating rink :-( All in all, I love this show.
  4. I agree with everyone with regards to in what universe is guy like Gus just getting ass handed to him everywhere he turns. It makes the show so off-putting to me that I question whether I want to continue watching because it is so unbelievable. I am a strong believer that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, however, if we are being honest, the actor is not easy on the eyes (which I hate saying) and such a horrible personality on top of that. Which is why its soooo hard for me to understand why such beautiful women are throwing themselves at him to the point that he is turning them away. I have a cousin the during his teen years was pretty awkward, kind of dorky and had problems talking to girls, and my other guy cousins would tease him but they would also and try to help him because he was cute!!! 6'2, really smart, nice body he just couldn't get the courage to talk to girls. He is now happily married to his beautiful college girlfriend who we suspect is the only woman he's ever slept with. (which I think is so sweet btw) But Gus on the other hand has mickey going crazy stalker on him, his insanely rich and successful and very attractive boss who seamed to loath him is asking to sleep with him when she can sleep with ANYONE she wants, and gorgeous Heidi couldn't resist him that she had to give him a blow job at work, lets not forget the pretty girl at the bar that was dying to buy him a drink and he turned her down. Its like COME ON!!!!! It pretty obvious that although the actor is married, he is living out some fantasy about how he wishes his life was growing up, but sadly we the viewers know that its bullshit. Ok rant over! lol
  5. Currently watching this episode and just came to say I cant stand Gus and Mickey. They are both such awful people.
  6. People were talking about Raina's death on IG when the final 2-3 episodes were leaked a few weeks back so I was prepared for it. It still shocked me none the less. It seems the premise of this show is bad behavior is rewarded and innocence and good is taken away or destroyed. Cus how in the hell was Angela promoted?!! But anyhoo.... What bothered me about last weeks episode when Tariq helped those two fools rob the woman's home, they set it up for Tariq to leave the house after they gained access. They made it look like he was NOT apart of it. He could have ran off and met up with them later. But NOOOOOO, this fool had to be nosy. I cant stand stupidity and Tariq is soooo stupid. All of HIS actions contributed to his sisters murder. I tend to watch Power on demand early on Sunday so after every episode the creator discusses her favorite parts of the episode and explains why things happen the way they do, And she mentioned that there was a debate on killing Raina and how they know what an impact her death is going to have on the characters in the future and that everyone of course will be changed but especially Tariq because he KNOWS he is the reason his sister was killed. I actually felt bad for him because his life will be impacted by this in the worst way. He can suffer from depression, go deeper into the drug use, his life can pretty much have a downward spiral from this day forth because he knows the truth about what happened and can let guilt guide his life. I do understand that this is a tv show that wants to depict real life, however, like most people, I watch tv for escapism so when a show takes a turn that I feel is going to take the characters to a place that you cant recover from I'm out. I have a daughter and I don't see how any parent can function after the loss of a child due to being overstricken with grief so I'm in for the finale but I don't know where the show is going at this point, besides anger, violence and tears.
  7. I've barely been watching this show and apparently neither have any of you lol. I caught the episode where Danielle was yelling at the new receptionist about how she isn't 9mag and she isn't family and my mind was truly blown. All I could think of was that was production motivated. Same with Van and this 9mag family that no one else can be apart of. Has anyone of these people ever heard of expansion and growth?! And I keep waiting on Ryan to say "have any of yall put in on this"? Cus like @Fairlily26 says if you haven't invested financially, you're an employee. Like I can't. This show isn't even amusing anymore. I cringe when watching.
  8. I want to say the stylist does that on purpose. I think she will always dress with like that because she still has that "ghetto" hood mentality. I used to work with a woman that spent good money on her clothes, yet every time she came to work everything looked soooo cheap. From her weave, to the too light eyeshadow and lipstick it was a mess. And one day she and another woman had the same Ralph Lauren dress on but it looked like it came from pretty girl on her and RL on the other woman. Tasha will always dress and make a $1000 dress look cheap cus that's her character imo.
  9. I thought the same thing about a baby named Linda so I found it hilarious that Titus thought the same thing. However, my name is the opposite. My name was very popular in the 80 when I grew up but I have yet to meet a 50-60 year old Tiffany. My name is forever a 9 year old girl lol.
  10. LAWD have mercy!!! This show is a hot mess!!! But I will admit that I kind of love it. Last night when Donna instantly started acting funny style when Skye announced that she would be managing the ATL shop was crazy. Skye let this girl move in with her when she didn't have any place to go and she also helped her get her job back, but wanted to act like Skye was doing her dirty by accepting the job!! Donna was beyond selfish and instead of being mad who she should be mad at (herself) she took her jealously and anger out on Skye and Ceasar. These people want everything without having to work for it. Donna, boo be a steady reliable employee for at least a year before you start talking shit about what you want. Now do I feel that Skye "deserves" the manager position, I don't know. Because going from receptionist is a huge jump in my opinion. It takes a lot to manage a shop. getting bills paid, negotiating contracts with vendors, scheduling, dealing with customer and vendor complaints, managing staff etc. Now I don't know how Skye acts in real life so she may be amazing at the job. Things must be going well because she posted on IG that she purchased her first home in Atlanta and its beautiful, so I do wish her much luck and success.
  11. There's been a lot of talk on social media that they don't understand why Iyanla still has a show since she hasn't fixed anyone. I disagree with that. Watching her show and even reading a few of her books have helped me understand that I needed to make some necessary changes in order to not continue making the same mistakes. Change is hard for people, so spending 24,36 or 48 hours with Iyanla and her team is NOT enough but it can be if you really want to see difference in your life. As she always says, you have to do the work. I do think that she would get better results if she had a plan in place once she leaves. Counseling, something, anything to help these people but I don't think Oprah gave her the budget for that. With all that being said, watching Neffie's episode I wonder how much their situation will truly change after Iyanla is gone. Because her husband looks completely broken.
  12. I can not stand Chris Brown so I agree with everyone that felt he wasn't needed in this episode or the show period. I do want to chime in on the one meal for dinner discussion. When I was very young my mom tried that sit at the table until you eat at least a few bites of what I put in front of you. Well after throwing up everything on the plate, table, floor and myself that method of forcing me to eat ended that day. LOL So she always made me a separate yet easier meal for me. I am an only child so I'm not sure if that matters but it might have played a role.
  13. So IG is saying the Rasheeda/Kirk baby situation is a storyline. Part of me wants to believe that it is because there is no way that if this was really taking place in someone's marriage that they would readily film this for the world to see. If Rasheeda was in fact confronting Kirk at the dinner table, I half expected her to say can you please give us a minute to the camera men. There wouldn't be enough money in the world that would allow me to degrade myself in the manner to which these people are. And Karlie Red was looking her age last night. not sure if it was the outfit or the hair but for the first time I saw "old lady at the club" while they were at the fashion show. I agreed with Tammy saying she didn't feel comfortable talking about Rasheeda and this baby situation with all the ladies. Before she said it, I was thinking none of these bitches are your friends to stand around and discuss this. Karlie is just so damn messy, she is loving that she got the tea and can spread it to any and everyone that will listen. Tammy and Waka *eyeroll*. Waka's just playing along with her pretend strong woman act because he knows she's going to take him back. And considering that everyone knows that she did take him back makes this even more embarrassing for her. Her stance is that a woman is weak for leaving her man and strong for staying. And many women on IG agree and say that's that woman's husband not boyfriend she shouldn't leave him, she needs to stick it out. Now I've been married and when I hear men and women say this, it angers me. Now my marriage ended not because of infidelity, however, advising someone to stay in a situation because you are "married" is ridiculous!! Tammy allows herself to be disrespected by her HUSBAND every time she takes him back imo. Your HUSBAND chooses to share himself with other women and expect you to stay yet if she did the same his ego probably wouldn't even allow her to apologize cus he'd be so disgusted. I know everyone's opinion varies but this is mine. I think Tammy is a beautiful woman that can meet a man that will treat her right but she chooses to stay with this fool. smh.
  14. I liked the episode. both Bow and Dre made a lot of valid points. My name is a very common name in both the AA community and white community, most people know at least two people with my name. So when I had my daughter I wanted to give her name that was different, kind of a flower child hippie type name. I kept her name a secret from most of my family for fear of what they would say. My parents passive aggressively begged me to change it but I love her name. I actually had it picked out since I was a teenager and even though I tried to think of something different I always came back to that name. Those that did know her name teased me and said she's not even going to get the interview, meaning one look at her resume and she would immediately be dismissed. My daughter has a two first names and her second first name is Bleu. she was born in December, one month before Beyoncé's daughter and when I say my phone rang off the hook with not only my parents and those same family members talking ish about my childs name saying "You thought of it first" and how beautiful my daughter's name is etc *insert side-eye*all because someone famous named their child something similar.
  15. Yes to everything you said. I watched this episode in disbelief after learning Nikki had a child that she abandoned **wide eyes, head tilt and blank stare** I couldn't believe it. She is trying to spit all this "I didn't want to uproot him from his family friends etc" as if she left to pursue a job out of state as opposed to leaving your child for a man. in what universe is it ever ok to leave your child to move across country for a man that you've known for approximately 8 weeks!!! girl bye. That argument she had with Oh Shit at the venue was a small glimpse into her future. This man wants to have a reception and spend all this money when he don't have any. I became enraged when she said do you even have a bank account and this negroid (yes I spelled it that way on purpose) had the aufuckindacity to say YES YOURS!!!! and he meant that shit too!!! That one statement alone told me everything that I already knew about Oh shit. He does the same thing with all his baby mamas, never takes responsibility for his actions, always making excuses and wanting the easy way out of everything (rehab and work) As a man, how are you ok with spending this womans money. As a man, how could you be ok with letting this woman leave her job, family and SON to move to NY with you when you didn't even have a place to live? But I suppose the even bigger question is, How is she ok with it
