  1. I am not understanding all the hate for Heather. Its a real step backwards for feminism if she is being criticized for "not being feminine enough" or "not looking her best (no makeup and baggy pants) for her husband". I don't understand why she's labeled a bitch either. I thought she was being direct and honest when she described her uncomfortableness and apprehension toward Derek's pot smoking. So just because a woman doesn't sugar coat or go above and beyond to protect a man's very fragile feelings, she's a bitch? It's not her fault Derek gets super defensive about criticisms and that he has barely noticed any of Heather's nonverbal cues relating to it. Heather seems very thoughtful and rational in her talking heads and shes most likely a very friendly person or very good a faking it to have a career as a flight attendant. As shown in the chugging scene it also seems like she has a sharp wit and a sense of humor. To me it seems like Heather and Derek are not intellectually compatible and I know if that were me I would also check out. Derek seems to focus too much on the physical ("its been 5 days and she won't hold my hand") instead of working on the emotional connection. Also, seems pretty lame to go on a vacation with someone and choose an activity (smoke weed) only one partner wants to do regardless of your opinion of it.
  2. I don't know if this has been discussed but it seems clear now that Taylor is a flight attendant for American Airlines. She was wearing her uniform scarf in the episode which my rough googling points to AA. Also googling "flight attendant school phoenix" indicates that AA has flight attendant training in phoenix and charlotte (though that is changing since the merge with US airways at the end of last year). I am assuming all the filming was done before the merge. So her possible hub cities include: Dallas, Phoenix, NYC, LA, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, Charlotte, or DC. I don't know how competitive each market is. We may have to wait until next episode. Taylor did mention an east coast possibility which doesn't really narrow it down. All this just makes me think all the RV and job fights were for show. That Taylor and David both knew Taylor would be training to be a flight attendant and that they would have to relocate once she finished. Though I still believe they really stayed at an apartment some place and filmed in the RV for the show. With all of Taylor's "stuff" it's clear she didn't really move into the RV. David crying about his teacher's contract will probably end up being no big deal.
  3. I am 100% in agreement with you on this. These are just bad actors putting on a show for the camera. Every time the camera "cuts" during a surprise moment you know they either filmed it more than once or there are 3 camera men in their house at all times. Hard to show in organic moment in either scenario. Also, I don't think everyone thinks David is saint. Their main gripe with Ashley is that she went on a show to get married and then just didn't really do it. When a women is at a bar and turns down a guy because she is not interested and she is called a bitch is not the same situation that Ashley is in on this show. I completely agree it is unfair to women when they are accused of being cold and bitch for not putting up with unwanted advances. Ashley is not at a bar hanging out and shutting down random guys. She is on a tv show where the premise is to be married to someone you've never seen. She put herself in that situation and she is not owning it.
  4. In the after the show interview with Jaimie David mentioned that Ashley already had a plane ticket to go with him to Buffalo. I don't know if that was the same trip as the wedding but he also mentioned being at a wedding and sitting next to an empty seat that was reserved for Ashley.
  5. I will give Tres and Vanessa the benefit of the doubt regarding their gift exchanges. Those moments may have happened without cameras and the producers made them reenact on camera which is maybe why their reactions seemed lukewarm if they were making a "scene" for the show. When Neil was describing how they hug now I felt so sad and embarrassed. Also I noticed that Sam said she only brought one wax melt to the new place which makes me think they weren't really "moving in" to the new place. Oh man Ashley won the golden ticket with text gate. Not only was she finally able to stop being nice to David but she got out of a trip to Buffalo and going to David's friend's wedding. Oh David. I think he's gone too deep in playing this reality show game. The stupid crying and conversation at his dad's gravestone was too much. Also, don't drink and drive bro! I think he is just messing with Ashley at this point in his emphasis that he is her husband and she is his wife. Making her uncomfortable is clearly all has going on until their time is up.
