  1. Mackenzie's outfit would have been cute on a young woman at Comic-con. On a preteen, it was way too mature. Or, to quote Season 1, it was sleazy. Those ruffled panty/short things do not belong on anyone under 18. I liked her dance the best, though I will admit to not knowing enough about dance to know if it was really hip hop. No more pigtails and cartwheels, though, so it's a win for her! She was passionate and strong. Brynn looked like a noodle. She's all limp arms and legs, and her face is worse then Kendalls. Technique doesn't matter if you put the audience to sleep. Jojo was cute, but not particularly memorable this week. The costumes for the group were hideous. These are all lovely, slender, strong girls, and it made them look chunky. It was a nice dance, though.
  2. I think Kendall is definitely in that mean girl territory and I dont' like a lot of what she does. But I couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. At her age, I was high strung and easily intimidated by authority figures. I could have a reasonable, mature response in my head, and I would get frustrated and cry instead of being able to get it out. I think she tried. She diplomatically said that she would like for it to be a duet because it was given as one. Then she got nervous and upset when Abby snapped at her, and even though she was still trying to ask Abby not to yell, she lost it. I remember that happening to me, and it's embarrassing and not fun at all. But it's a huge sign that this life isn't for her. She's overwhelmed in her own studio, with her own teacher that she has had for years. If she can't handle that, she can't handle working in Hollywood. Thankfully my own mother had enough sense not to put me on TV for everyone to pick on.
  3. While she is not the best technical dancer, Nia always looks so joyful when she is dancing. She actually outshone Kalani this week in their duet. I was terrified that she was going to have a wardrobe malfunction in that teeny top, though. That doll dance was strange when Chloe and Asia did it and wasn't improved by Peyton and Alexus. At least Asia was a cute little doll. What sweet innocent girl would want to play with a creepy doll like Peyton? I thought her make-up was cool, but didn't suit the dance. Peyton should have been pulled from the group. Mackenzie was told many times at six that a dance was too mature/hard for her and she wouldn't be performing. Peyton deserves the same courtesy and already had a dance to do, so she wouldn't have been left out. The group dance was really neat looking, and the minis looked cute with the older girls. Can each older girl just adopt a mini and kick all the parents out please? Goodbye moms, the minis are going to their big girl now. Please go find a bar and some Xanax.
  4. I thought that it was very sweet to see Kenzie talking about her little mini-me, and attempting to help out. She's back to looking very tiny in the group dancer, and out of place with the girls who have gone through or are going through puberty. Maddie's dance was wondeful, and had a spark that I haven't seen in her in years. She looks like a young lady now, very grownn up. I would have liked to have seen the boy that beat her, to see if it was penis points at work. That said, she needs to watch her gossiping on set. It's not her place to talk about Jill or Kendall, though I can't imagine where she leanred to be catty and gossipy behind other's backs. It's not like her mother....oh, wait. Every mother came off poorly in this episode, though Holly seems to be dialing back the crazy. I thought the older girls were nice and couteous to the photographers. Whether or not they were chosen for the shoot, the each thanked the men and didn't pout. That can be hard at their ages, especially when rejection comes right in front of yoru friends.
