  1. I don't like him either, and he's fake and phony, thus far away from being 'perfect'. She's not perfect either, but at least she's not as fake as him.
  2. There is no proof that she NEVER gave him any chance and that it just came down to looks with her. She saw him, didn't like him much and what she saw during the six weeks further confirmed her opinion. There arme people who like him. And there are others like me who find him pushy, fake and phony and who would never open up with him for fear it would encourage him. She's well rid and they should have matched her with someone with a criminal record anyway.
  3. I do like Jamie and Doug together. I should probably hide.
  4. I'm very confused about Sam. Sometimes, she seems like a straightforward bully, and sometimes it seems like those qualities can partly be accounted for by a huge grade for anxiety. For a nice looking young female with a good job, a loving family and friends she seems terribly anxious. So maybe under all that horrible behavior she's pretty nice. But then again, she once mentioned on SM something along the lines of treating Neil like that because of not being able to switch off her behavior at the workplace. So I assume she's a horrible boss and people who treat people working for them terribly will never get a pass from me. The way you treet waiters and employees says a lot about your character.
  5. Because it was never just about looks. He isn't that ugly. With some people, you see them and your gut tells you that you don't like them. Not liking someone/finding them pushy and fake obviously impacts your perception of their attractiveness.
  6. She has turned very unlikeable after the grill party and the texting gate mess, but people were hating on her before that. I agree with you, she made it very clear from early on that she wasn't interested. David in his 'I'd even marry a monkey'-marriage mania didn't let this stop him from pursuing her further and further. Dude, stop it. You signed up for this show, yes, but it's not an Amazon deal. There's no guarantee and no duty for your bride to like you. I understand why she didn't even try to have nice converstions with him, because that would have enhanced David's beliefs and people would have accused her of leading him on. Also, people should stop making this a purely physical thing. He might not be her type, but he's not Quasimodo. What makes him unattractrive is that he's oozing fakeness and pushiness. Ashley should have stood to her beliefs instead of hiding behind his texting. She was in the right. I wouldn't have stayed married to this creepy dude either and they really shouldn't have paired her with someone with a criminal record without disclosing it to her ahead of time.
  7. To be honest, David was so pushy with an unwilling Ashley that I dread to think what level "my wife" would have reached had she tried to be friendlier. The only flack Ashley gets from me is for her behavior after the grill party and texting gate.

  10. I do like the ideas, but the whole premise of the show is letting experts complete strangers. It's what makes watching this show fun for me. But obviously, there's something lacking. I don't know whether the psychological testing is just really bad or whether the people who lie trick the system by lying. Like, two minutes of this show where enough for me to realize how mismatched Ashley and David are and that what she's looking for is a completely different person from David. But could the experts have foreseen their lack of chemistry? Maybe they presented themselves different in the interviews.
  11. For me as a non native speaker: What is a millenial and what is a genxer?
  12. I'm with you, JLP. If I was a betting woman, I'd bet the twist is the Trenessa breakup and the reunion of Sam/Neil. Even in this context, her tweets are pretty embarassing and over the top.
  13. I'm embarrassed for her: https://twitter.com/Sam_MAFS/status/705158850584956929
  14. I'm not an Ashley apologist - in fact, she came off horrible in the previews - but I actually liked what she said in this episodes. Sometimes you meet people you don't click with, they just rub you the wrong way. And I think with David, it was like that for her. Him being pushy and tone death didn't help either. I'm not defending Ashley - her getting worked up about the texting was really ridiculous, but in principle I get where she is coming from. I really don't think it's about physical attraction. Neil - was he actually grinning and trying to hide it, when Sam talked to him the day after decision day? Anyway, I get why he wants a divorce but I don't like the delivery. And even though she's a bully, I truly felt sorry for Sam during the grandmother scene. You could see how desperately lonely she feels (although she shouldn't - some people would give anything for a long friendship like that with Sammy). I'm not sure Neil's decision was based only on the first two weeks. I think even the 'nicer' Sam was probably not completely to his taste at that time. Vanessa and Tres - puh. I like them. But I don't know. They have their sweet moments but ultimately they are probably not a good fit. I truly believe Tres wants to be married but the marriage with Vanessa has been wearing him down. You can see it in his body language. I'm not saying she's a horrible person, but very different from him. He would have been happier with a more laid back and outgoing person. Someone who enjoys having a lot of friends over, who occasionally would visit a club with him, etc. I feel like he's really giving it a try because on paper she's perfect - warm enough, young, pretty, good job, classy, liked by his family. But I don't think it's making him happy. He's changed a lot and putting up that 'husband mentality' front for your wife which ultimately requires you to change your whole character won't make anyone happy. He looks exhausted and insecure, albeit in a different way from Vanessa. Note to the experts: same skin color and being abandoned at young age are not good enough reasons to match two people.
