She wants to help “mental health and veterans”. That’s very noble of her to say. But how, pray tell, does she plan to do that? She has ample opportunity to do things for veterans in the community (and others) that don’t cost a dime. All she has to do is reach out to her local VFW or American Legion. They are always looking for volunteers. Oh…wait…most of those have physical places that have canteens that sell alcohol and play the “devil’s music”. Scratch that. So how about groups like Wounded Warriors? Some of those vets may not be the “right” Christian, or not Christian at all. So scratch that. And helping “mental health”? How?

I think that, in a lot of fundie families, compensation for any shortcomings in the headship’s ability to support the family land squarely on the wife. And because they aren’t “allowed” to work outside the home, so many do what they can with creative budgeting, buying second-hand and trying to make these MLM scams work. I still believe that DBD is pulling in an income from his Praise and Print ministry, but not much. And he could bring in more if he tried. Jill is a master manipulator and grifter supreme. So any shortfalls in income become Jill’s responsibility to cover, whether that is implicitly stated or not. Because grocery shopping, clothing the family, paying household bills and caring for everyone/everything is wimmin’s work. Davey is the provider in this scenario. He does the manly man stuff (poorly) and hands over his meager printing earnings to Jill so she can (poorly) manage the house and kids. As far as Nurie goes, that poor child looked 30 when she was 15. she was never allowed to dress or look her age.

Ok so I did some research. “At cost” (if I read the info correctly) apparently can include the cost of labor. It’s the actual cost of producing an item. If DBD includes his labor costs in the tract pricing, he is making money. Like nearly everything they do, this is probably a scam. They have no employees (kids = free labor) and they probably qualify for Medicaid due to family size and income, so no benefits need to be paid. The only real costs are the barndo, utilities, repairs to the printing presses (DBD fenangled himself into his equipment for free for the most part), ink, solvent, paper and the other materials needed to print his tracts. And he can factor in the price of materials into what he is allowed to charge the customer. So not really “overhead”. If he prints enough materials he could actually be pulling in an income. And, because he is a “ministry” he may not be paying taxes, either. Or if he is, a lot of what he puts into his business may be write-offs. He deals only with non-profits (churches, ministry groups from what I can see), so he doesn’t have to deal with charging sales tax. This is all speculation, but this makes sense to me as to how they survive outside of “love offerings”. And now that I think on it, their mileage for church visits and anything else they need for “ministry work” appearances COULD be tax-deductible.

Depends on the pizzeria and what you get. Our fave local place in a small town not far from the Rods runs $25 for a large with two toppings. Little Caesar’s is still under $10 a pie if I remember correctly.

Look at it this way…they won’t be clogging up any pool filters with their street clothes lint. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My skin is crawling thinking about the feeling of wet nylon pants sticking to legs. At least Nathan has the common sense to wear swim trunks. And it looks as if Nurie has a modest swimsuit on as opposed to street clothes. So progress there!

I truly feel badly for the Rod kids. Especially the boys. They are lost and the one person who should be serving as a strong, supportive, male role model is hiding out in his “print shop”, watching a map and sweetly grunting. Poor education aside, absolutely no one has stepped up to actually show them how to be fully functional adults. They lack the ability to function outside of their cozy little bubble and, as soon as Jilly senses they are, they get yanked back. Unlike the Duggars, the Rods do not have a hefty show-funded nest egg to support their minions who fail to launch. I see a lot of self-inflicted struggles in their futures.

Can someone PLEASE tell Kaylee that kombucha is alcoholic? Not nearly as high an alcohol content as wine or beer, but it’s there. I checked the website for this brand of Kombucha and they are unapologetic about it. My friend brews her own kombucha and has told me she has gotten a slight buzz from drinking it.

Lord Daniel of the Laundromat, they are BABIES!!!! I truly hope that he is financially stable enough at NINETEEN YEARS OLD to support not only himself, but a whole other person! Not to mention the string of babies that will most likely begin making their appearance in 9-10 months. Editing to say he is apparently gainfully employed at his father’s auto glass replacement business.

So I’m kind of confused, though I probably already know the answer to my question. Did anyone see what the cost was for this trip, not including airfare? Their resort website says that a junior suite (lowest rank room) is around $300/night. I’m imagining Plexus didn’t pay the whole stay (if at all) so this was an absolutely helluva expensive thing to do. Add in airfare for both of them and new outfits for both, I’m imagining this little sojourn cost the Rods around $2,000 or $3,000. While the Stinkbus is about to wheeze its last and the kids are underfed, hollow-eyed and raggedy. Even if Plexus paid for room and board, it’s still a huge expense with airfare, new makeup/jewelry etc. and it’s one they should have passed on. oh—I also found the list of excursions and costs. Nothing under $100/person.

Davey probably still has his from the African missioncation he took with Nurie. And maybe Jill had gotten hers then too. Or they used food money to pay for hers (as evidenced by the near-empty pantry).

So I think there are multiple reasons why Jill and DBD will not go on these Plexus trips. First, immodest dress. Women walking around in shorts and tank tops or…goodness…an actual bathing suit at the pool is unacceptable! Can’t risk DBD looking at another woman and having thoughts that can’t be righteously fulfilled! Second, booze. These are not dry cruises, I’m assuming. Can’t be around anyone who is imbibing and run the risk of accidentally “catching” their “sin” like a head cold. Third, finances. Although the cruises are in part paid for by Plexus, there is still a rather large investment that attendees take on. The multiple other “once yearly” vacations they take are largely covered by grifting or mooching. Plexuscations? Not so much.

Those tool boxes were not cheap. Good on Heidi’s family for treating Timmay like part of the family for real! This has to be the best Christmas he ever had. Real, thoughtful gifts; plenty of food; and genuinely happy people to spend the day with. Not to mention not having to perform for Mahmo and her torture camera. And Heidi in pajama pants…I hope Tim doesn’t throw around that “headship” BS and that Heidi continues to wear whatever the hell she wants. on the topic of the Golden Corral Christmas dinner gift—dinner out with family is just that…dinner out. It’s not a gift. And grandma doesn’t really look too thrilled to be there. I think her visits are very few and far between.

Kaylee is too young to worry about “gut health”. If she is having issues, it’s more than likely IBS, of which stress and poor diet are major triggers. A lot of it can be genetic but living in a home where you walk on eggshells 24/7 will definitely wreak havoc. Speaking from experience…

This would validate that Plexus actually works. I personally vote for anxiety as the cause. Or he has bought into the Plexus sales pitch and is not eating to support Kaylee’s “business”

I used to treat myself to a manicure every two weeks, a few years back when I could more easily afford it. A mani with gel polish ran me nearly $50 with tip. If Jill didn’t grift a gift certificate from some unsuspecting mark, she spent nearly $100 on something that will last a week, two if Sadie isn’t too hard on her nails. Keeping things in perspective, a week’s groceries for my family of four big eaters at Aldi runs around $100-150. For what she spent on unnecessary manicures, Jill could have bought food for a nice dinner for the whole family and had the girl slaves bake a cake. And still had enough left over for a small gift for Sadie. I legit can not comprehend where this extra money comes from, because I know it’s not Plexus.

My youngest is now driving age and is going to take the Ohio driving exam at the end of the month. Driving instruction (classes and 8 hours in-car instruction) cost me a cool $500 when all was said and done. Not to mention the huge upcoming costs associated with insurance premiums. So I completely understand the Rods delaying licenses until 18, considering they don’t have a source of steady income. Now if they did, and could save for it, wouldn’t be so much of an issue. Looks as if plexus income won’t be enough to support their monthly vacations and driver training for the under 18 kids.

I wonder what types of video games Sammers plays on the map? I do have a question…was a gaming system given to the Rods as part of a grift? In a world where 20ish-year-old young men are given Hobby Lobby $5 clearance tchotchkes for Christmas, I seriously doubt Mahmo and DBD sprung for a PlayStation.

I wonder where Jill's third sister is in the scheme of things? She posts about Amy and Angie from time to time, but I don't think I've seen much (if anything) about Lisa. Also, Ma Turtleneck looks good in that pic with Newman. Whoever's turn it is to take care of MT is doing a good job. She has color in her cheeks, looks well maintained and is genuinely smiling. Maybe it's Lisa?

BME, best designer ever, didn’t even check to make sure she matched the black background when the covered “chance at a” in the original invite. She didn’t win anything but the CHANCE to go. And her name wasn’t picked. She was healthy enough to screech her way across WVA but too sick to go on a WONDERFUL !!! cruise. Sure, Jill.

So here’s what I think: BME and DBD have been getting some blowback from their donors on the frequency of their dinners out, vacations, etc. and a raggedy hoopdie RV that has not been replaced or repaired properly (blowback = spiritual attack). So, in an effort to preserve their funding sources (and keep DBD gainfully unemployed), they skipped the cruise and went on a screeching trip instead. On a side note (and not saying this to spur political talk at all) there is a huge issue on the Ohio ballot this election…I’m shocked that she isn’t shouting from the rooftops about it (instead of Plexus pushing and screeching her way across the northeast).

So by the looks of it, this is a small run and was printed digitally. I don’t believe DBD has the ability to print digitally, as he runs an offset press in his workshop. Hence, her going to another (professional) printer. If DBD has a digital printer (big $$$) it’s probably not one that can run this job efficiently. The pages are printed and stacked in order, one on top of the other and slightly staggered, so that they remain separated for collation and binding. This was probably just off press and headed to the bindery to be collated, assembled and bound. The “magazine” looks to be 20 pages. I can explain more if anyone is actually interested LOL!!! It’s hard to tell how many they printed and the paper looks a little heavy for a “magazine” (more like a brochure). My guess is 200-300 copies.

Job security? The people selling it are the only people using it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Here’s my question. If the Romeikes intended to stay here because of “religious persecution”, why did they not seek citizenship? They had already been here for years, so it’s obvious they had no intention of leaving. This all said, I have a dear friend who came here on a student visa. They met their spouse, married, and started the citizenship process. I understand it’s an expensive and time-consuming process. However, I know from seeing my friend go through it that it can be done and there is help out there to make it happen. My friend did not have Bates money, but still made it happen. You just need to seek out and ask for the right help. But this seems pretty typical of this crowd…skirt the law and/or the rules until they get caught, then scream “religious persecution”. It’s not too late for them to seek citizenship. They just need an immigration attorney to help guide them through the process. But they probably won’t look for this help because it’s better for the cause to “woe is me” and cry persecution.

So the Wayne county fair was last week. Another delay of game for Jilly’s social media posting. It was cheap enough to get in…hoping they took the littles. But something tells me they didn’t. As far as DBD finding a replacement helpmeet, he really won’t have to (now that I think on it a bit). They did such a great job putting the kaibosch on Renee’s courtship with MM that she can now resign herself to a life of being a stay-at-home daughter. She will be the Rod version of Jana.

If Jill were called to the big laundromat in the sky before David, I honestly think the whole grift machine would grind to a halt. I don’t believe DBD has any interest in this beyond the thought that he doesn’t have to hold down a 9 to 5 job. He puddles around in his “print shop” a couple hours a week and watches his map until it’s time to load up the stink bus and go grift. He does the bare minimum to keep the grift going…it’s all Jill. She makes all the arrangements for their tours. He just waits to be told where to go. Oh, and he goes on several vacations a year that are either given to them or the grift pays for.
