  1. Season 15, Episode 5 - Love or Money

Now that was more of fun I look for with this series! Love how Murdoch gets to have some fun - he was utterly sparkling when Zinnia mentioned he had some larceny in him. And Thomas gets to go over the top!

Add me to those who want to see Julia end up at Women's College.

But seriously, George. Did you not think your Auntie was going to try to pull one over on you?

  2. 15/3 - Manhunt

I chose to skip the first two episodes because I'm so tired of all the heavy drama they keep adding to the show. Told my roommate to tell me when they got back to the show I loved.

This was more on the dramatic side but it wasn't putting our heroes in peril. Instead, it's a meditation on justice. It stood very well in that. I especially loved the callback to when Murdoch released Constance Gardiner. Brought the whole thing full circle.

And Brackenreid created the volleyball spike??

I hold an unfashionable fondness for S6, despite Jonas aka "Tintin." You have several good episodes ahead of you (and lots of Janet), including The Changeling, which is in my personal pantheon of great SG-1 installments. It's the only dream episode I've seen which actually felt the way a dream does, complete with the disorientation and strange transitions. Is SG-1 art? At its best, IMO, yes.

The Changeling is right up there with my favourite episodes. So much Daniel/Teal'c goodness!

I can't stand The Other Guys. I abhor these stuck-in-teenage-maturity male characters. Absolutely despise them.

Nice to know I'm not the only one.

Suggestions for finishing S10: Watch Talion (it's a Jaffa revenge thing, as O'Neill would say), skip Family Ties, see Dominion (Adria gets snaked by Ba'al), then leapfrog straight over the unbearably depressing Unending to The Ark of Truth, which finishes off the B'Ori once and for all.

I heard Talion was Teal'c being not-Teal'c but if you approve I'll watch it.

Daniel and Teal'c are mostly tasked with babysitting some hostages. This is borderline spoiler-y but maybe you will want to watch it now.

    Wait - there's Daniel/Teal'c? Then yeah, I wanna watch.

$175 to talk to MS for 2 minutes? Once upon a time I would have been tempted.

I subscribed to The Companion, although I have no idea when I'll find time for it.

I thought Browder was always terrific on Stargate, and TPTB's conception of Mitchell and integration of him into SG-1 was the sterling achievement of S9-10. When he is occasionally juxtaposed with RDA onscreen, Browder does not suffer by the inevitable comparison.

I agree. Part of why I resent Vala is that she took time and focus away from Mitchell, who was the leader of the frickin' team!

  8. I hated the finale! Where's the light-hearted show I fell in love with? Where's the girls sunning at the beach? Instead, we get an angst fest, with Flo the only person with a somewhat happy ending. I still don't get the point of Sebastian. I also really hate the trope the Ned storyline represents.

When it finished, my roommate and I sat there in stone silence feeling utterly disappointed. If this is the route it was going to go, I'm glad it got cancelled before my love for it was utterly ruined.
