Even though he was in it for only a few minutes, Big was great with all of his reactions to everything that was going on.  Zahn McClarnon is a treasure!

    He sure is.

    Spoiler

When his boots appeared on the screen I started yelling at my TV how happy I was to see Big because I knew he would save the day.

This episode is riveting.  The writing and the acting are fantastic.  I need to go watch it again.

Cool seeing Tamara Podemski as Elora's aunt from another city (and who apparently had a thing with Big years ago?!)  Fun fact: she and Sarah Podemski (Rita) are sisters!

Thanks for the info.  Now I know why I kept getting them mixed up.

I loved the sense of community in this episode.  Even though it was serious, it was fun to see Big flirting.

Mose and Meeko got their bikes back!

Interesting Rodrigues Family Academy Homeschool errors:

if you are a able bodily Christian  (I can't explain this.)

After reading this screed, if I didn't know better, I'd think Tim was growing special mushrooms behind his trailer.

But, I will say if you are a able bodily Christian there is no reason why you should be regular just staying home, and missing church.

That whole sentence makes my brain hurt.  I will say that I think "a able bodily Christian" like his dad should get a job.

  4. This is my favorite episode of the show so far, but then I think the same thing every time I watch a new one.  The character development in this show is amazing, and I hope it's attracting lots of viewers.  I want to see more of the Deer Lady and watch Big solve the mystery of the catfish heads.

  5. My local farm store has a sign up stating that Ivermectin is not for human use.  The Ivermectin cures Covid nuts are pissing me off because they're creating a shortage for those of us who need it for our horses.

I hope Jessa doesn't give it to her kids.

  6. The Season 3 scary island trip was the only time I liked Alex.  She was actually pretty normal when Simon wasn't around.  She seemed thrilled to be friends with Bethenny which was kind of pathetic. She was that way in season 1 too, which makes me wonder if she had any girl friends.  I think I  would have seen her in a whole different light if  Simon hadn't always been around sucking the air out of every room.

Samuel is the darker brother? My guess is Jill decided to spend money on his perfectly fine teeth because he's the best-looking of the Rod males (it's a very low bar, I know), and maybe he's now the golden child that Kiefer Tim was before his fall from grace.

He needs decent meals way more than he needs anything done to his teeth.

One thing really bothers me about the rods, is when they show pictures of their meager holiday meals they look even more pathetic if you take into account the fact that they are feeding the bottomless pits that are known as teenaged boys. My son is still at that stage, and when I was a kid my teenaged brothers would eat cereal by the mixing bowls full. The amount of food teenaged boys can put away is unreal.   My mom always cooked huge meals so my brothers would leave enough for the rest of us, and I do the same when feeding my son and his friends.  I'm not saying that the boys deserve any more food than those poor starving girls, it's just one more example of Jillrod's cluelessness.

I thought that Shulem had mentioned that he had 6 children in a previous season. Anyone else have a memory of this?

I remember it.  He also said he had 30 some grandchildren in the same conversation.
