  1. When he shouted "FULL BULLPEN!" at the end of the cold open, I cackled loudly. He really is the best comedian on this show. The 40-minute rant was awesome too. Lots of excellent Holt yelling this ep! Add a "Me three" for conflating Patrick Duffy and Bobby Ewing, despite being in preschool when Dallas aired. I spent a good 90 seconds wondering why the lead actor from Step by Step was Jake's hero.
  2. FRAUD DOG! FRAUD DOG! That chant was glorious. As is sometimes the case with B99, I thought the B-plot was better than the A-plot. That's probably because I prefer it when the majority or entire squad works together to accomplish something. And Andre Braugher is amazing, as always. I would have wrecked that radiator too. "Who's got the time?!"
  3. Timothy Omundson is amazing. I watched him sing to a lizard--er, dragon--and I was delighted. I loved the Sharks and Jets business, especially the line about them both being 5'10''. Crossing my fingers for heavy chain mail. Galavant is the title character, after all. "It's correct for the period."
  4. I'm wondering if Harvey Bullock is going to turn out to be the Joker. "How now so righteous?" + "Watch the shoes, clown" in a matter of moments piqued my interest.
  5. Thought they gave us just the right amount of Undercover-ness. We got to see Jake in his mafioso "costumes" and see him singing "Piano Man" with the mobsters (which I love since I'm Italian and Billy Joel is one of my favorites). But we also got to see all the squad doing their things, especially Gina rocking out during The Gina Incident! I love how Rosa and Santiago summed up summer in 3 flashbacks that had me rolling. Did I miss Scully and Hitchcock in the opening credits? I thought they were regulars now. As if I needed another excuse to watch again before bed....
  6. Totally agree, acasmi. I was thinking about tuning in for the pilot, but wasn't sure since Andy Samberg wasn't my favorite SNLer of his class. Then my husband said he was interested in watching it and I said, "OK, let's give it a chance." And now, I am so sad that we have to wait until September. When the detectives found out about the amateur ballroom competition, I immediately got excited for awesome costumes because I've become so in tune with the characters and knew Peralta would make it happen. I agree that we need at least one episode of undercover work, especially because Jake met one of the mobsters in the bar. I assumed that the bar meet-up was to prep us for an undercover episode or two next season. Otherwise, the mobster character/tag would be a little unnecessary, since we already knew that Jake had been fired and now, by the end of the episode, knew why. Plus, undercover missions are always awesome on B99: the after-hours gym, Doug Judy....
