Currently reading Broken Code by Jeff Horwitz. All about Facebook. 100 pages in. This is a really large, multinational company. Employees are rewarded for just getting code out the door, resulting in a surprising failure to really understand the impact on the end product. ☹️

So... this the last episode? The Frankie story line is concluded. He's gone. His "girlfriend/performance coach" appears done, but certainly could be resurrected as someone chasing Renee or Ray. Osito and Charmaine are in a good position to carry a story line. Junior is gone, but his uncle and Osito are positioned to carry on a drug business. And Osito has inside info on Ray concerning the assassination of Frankie. So, will the show continue? We still have Jackie and Ron (her fish colleague). There is still lots of room for the Fall Brook alleged police corruption. And you cannot ignore those glimpses of Cape Cod (even if the show is filmed in Maryland).

Oh boy...this is easy: back to the Patriots!

Is this real? The Buffalo Bills just dropped three of their best players...in an attempt at cutting salaries. Hey...maybe the Pats can pick them up. 😃

Taking Down Trump, by Tristan Snell. Uses the Trump University case as a guide to work the system and counteract Donald Trump's strong man tactics. Only 182 pages so it is a quick read. Worst news: some cases are quashed early when there is a senior lawyer/manager who does not want to upset plans for advancement.

Taking Down Trump by Tristan Snell. Doesn't matter which "side" you're on...this book is a fascinating, disturbing story about the Trump University case. Fascinating because I used to work in the corporate university field (we did everything legally) and found it truly amazing that a corporate entity could screw things up so much. Disturbing because it revealed that law suits, no matter how obvious they seem, can be sidelined by senior officials because the case may sidetrack their personal goals of higher office. Plus, the book is only 182 pages, and the pages are a bit smaller...making for a fast read. 😜

Maybe the Knicks should check out a few veteran players. Imagine Willis, Bradley, Earl the Pearl, Dave, Ewing, Frazier...lacing up the sneakers. Maybe even Howie Komives (I saw him in his rookie year the first time I went to the Garden). 🤩

Pitch framing is annoying, but very difficult for the ump to ignore. A robot should be able to eliminate the framing. It will be interesting when someone hacks the system and calls everything a strike.

Jackie...ouch. I think I could easily write here scenes. Just take what happened in prior episodes and copy it. There, done. 😴

I'm amazed at how the Celtics can run up a big lead in the first half, totally blow it in the 3rd quarter, then somehow scrape together a 3 point win. 🤪

The show seems to be very repetitive: Jackie gets snoggered and does something stupid, again. Drug dealers mess up and get eliminated. Frankie Cuevas gets tossed into jail, gets out, gets... Ray gets a major win, then blows it all doing something questionable.

Hmmm...this should be interesting. Maybe Dakota's dad and mom will make a cameo appearance.🙂

Just finished "The Girl in the Eagle's Talons" by Karin Smirnoff. This is another "Girl with the Dragon Tatoo". Sadly, it does not rise to the level of its predecessors. 😟

Hi Lamb18...yes, the Celtics held on to win. But this season they have shown an odd proclivity to lose a last minute lead. Strange.

Wow...the Celtics certainly made the Detroit game a must-watch exercise. Clearly they did everything they could to keep the TV fans glued to their screens. Even took the game into overtime...and held on to win and the Detroit loss-streak intact. Amazing how far the Pistons have fallen. ☹️

Angry at the Yankees? For spending big bucks and getting little more than injured stars? At least the Yankees are willing to take the plunge and fork over the piles of dollars. Not like the Red Sox...oh no. They decided to let Xander go. And they did not counter-offer Betts. Paid for Trevor Storey, but then he got hurt. As did Chris Sale, the one time top 3 pitcher. Now they are trying to build a team with mid-level players. Probably thinking that the Boston fans will pay for seats no matter what they put on the field. Oh well...it's not my money.

Wow! $700 million over 10 years. Actual payments are delayed, thus trimming some of the cost burden. But...holy cow! The Dodgers must be confident that Ohtani will be healthy enough to both pitch and hit. Amazing!

Hi Smittykins... This is disappointing news. Verdugo played well on defense, had a strong arm, and could hit the long ball. Yes, he occasionally bumped into management. But this move leaves the Sox - once again - looking for a starting outfielder with power and defensive skills. Worst part...he now plays for the Yankees. Agh!

Challenging: I read the book on the 1619 Project, developed by Hannah-Jones and the NY Times, followed by two books that challenge much of 1619: Peter Wood's 1620 and Mary Grabar's Debunking the 1619 Project. In short, this is the argument over whether America is a historically racist society, warranting reparations. It would really be of value to have real historians debate the issues, before the revised history is installed in America's classrooms.

Today we learned that the Patriots have a really good defense. Geez...all they need is a passing game. 🤪

Oh boy! I wonder if there will be a skit based on La La Land.
