That IS the first time I’ve heard it stated that Jason asked to leave and I find it deeply suspicious. I read a ton of articles after season 4 finales and you’d think with the backlash they would have made that point to save themselves. So I just found out in this thread the show was cancelled. Can’t say I’m surprised or disappointed. I couldn’t make it through the first episode of season 5 and even in my extreme quarantine boredom I can’t make myself try again. I can’t view it as the show I fell in love with after the storytelling mess they created. I look forward to seeking the actors in other things!

Well I started crying as soon as Jack’s voice came out of the boom box. I found an old recording that had 10 seconds of my dads laugh on it and I played that thing over and over with shaking hands I can’t even imagine hearing his voice again and having him speaking to me. Just when I think they can’t pull any more tears out of me and I’ve adjusted to Jacks death they get me. Good job show. I like it when the big 3 are together. I hope whatever makes Kevin and Randall stop speaking doesn’t last too long. And I love that Y’all are calling older Kevin silver fox because I actually said that out loud when he appeared on my screen.

Well in the first few episodes when they moved there they said his school started after theirs, not for a few more weeks or so, so he had free time when they didn’t but we are way past that now. I thought for sure when Elle left she didn’t take the crown key with her so when he pulled it out of her pocket I was like really? As apparently Locke’s are the only people she can’t take the key from forcefully they should be the ones to hold them at all times. Very very stupid.

I turned it off 15 minutes in. I think I’m still bitter. We are stuck with Alice and Josh (I assume Josh will show at some point) and new Penny but no Q. I just can’t. Never thought I’d miss him so much but...definitely something missing. Maybe I’ll keep checking out the threads and how things are going with the show as the season progresses and try again some other time. I do miss Margo and Eliot.

All these conversations have been interesting to read. I’m just coming in to point out a part that made me lol but was maybe unintentional on writers part...when Darnell asks Randall if he does anything besides run and he says “I was thinking of getting a peloton....” ha. Oh Randall.

I just started watching too and I’m on season 6 now. I think he gets away with all of that cuz he’s Simon Baker. 😉 He grew on me. Also I just think of him as a modern US version of Sherlock Holmes and I just roll with it. It’s a CBS procedural they never make sense, and boy do these murders get complicated sometimes.

I started clapping and laughing the minute I realized Timothy Olyphant was coming. That’s almost all I needed but the rest was awesome too. “Gonna erase the earrrrrth.”

And Scully the medical doctor checks for head trauma by repeatedly running her hands through his hair. Nice job Scully. I also love Rain King but I feel like I shouldn’t because man it’s almost poorly written fan fiction come to life. David And Gillian are a treasure. Mulder’s glee reaction shot when Scully first gets mistaken for his wife (because he knows she’ll hate it.) Scully's disbelief when she finds out Mulder’s giving out love advice. It’s all amazing.

I forking love this show. Just rewatched this ep. At first I was a tiny bit frustrated because I wanted to see the story move forward but I trust the writers and I’m sure there is something in this episode that will be important later. And second time through I just enjoyed and let my heart soak up the cheesy goodness. Thoughts: Absolutely love the kid that played young Chidi. Perfect mannerisms. I now have a new way to exit a party “I must away and tend to my ravens.” I don’t know why but I got teary eyed when Janet our “not a robot or a girl” kissed Chidi on the cheek when he passed her the note. It was just so sweet and when have we seen her show affection like that beyond Jason? Im glad they’ve committed to an ending but man I’m going to miss this show.

I find myself wishing especially during the reboot that they’d just let him stay dead. Just shows CCs escalating lack of creativity as the seasons progressed (in my opinion).

No they made her wear cargo pants once when they were torturing her with the short soul mate and tiny house. And she ripped the best person sash off of Eleanor and set the party on fire too I believe during that ep.

Random notice...I love that the judges love of Timothy Olyphant continues with her pulling season 2 of Justified out of her purse. That man doesn’t get enough notice for the snack that he is. (And Justified is amazing.)

I’m still partial to “maybe if it rains sleeping bags you’ll get lucky.” Follow that with Mulders slightly shocked face and it’s also a gem. plus I’ve always loved the way Scully says “I fell in a HOLE.”

I mentioned this in the thread for that episode but I swear starlight had a blue tinge to her mouth for a few scenes after that. Especially when she was sitting on the bench talking to Hughie. Could be all in my head though cuz that would be a weird detail that not many people would see. I gasped out loud when Homelander lazered Elizabeth Shue’s eyeballs. I was not expecting that. I figured he would kill her but not that way. Was expecting a head squish or something. Guys she’s totally dead. I figured the kid was alive but I was about 50/50 on whether the wife would be as well. So curious where this goes and how Butcher gets out with his life. Yes he blew up a baby but I think he’d maybe figured Homelander was gonna kill the kid next and they were both goners might as well make it quick.

I just watched this and wanted to know if anyone else caught that star girl had a bit of a blue tinge to her mouth when she was sitting on the bench talking to Hughie? Were we supposed to notice that and was it from the aqua man because.....that was kinda....detailed. Maybe I imagined it or the actress ate some candy before the scene?

I do like the creep factor in this show but there is just so much going on that doesn’t make sense. So I have to assume Eric DIDN'T do the VR glasses in the beginning of the ep because they never drew that connection so why was that the opening teaser? And now Kristen and her family not only are being terrorized by what I still assume is a real demon George because of the work she is doing with the church (unless we really saw the last of him with that movie thing) they just randomly happen to use an evil virtual Ouija board which has probably infected their house now? I’d except it more if they show that somehow grandma was influenced by Michael Emerson to buy those things. And are Aasif and his sister still being terrorized by whatever demon thingy was after them? Dangling threads. I don’t think they had to hit the audience over the head at the parents house with the mom actually saying WITHIN EARSHOT of the police “I had to take action.” And then David saying out loud “they killed him.” Yeah. Got it. Thanks. I still kinda like this show though cuz it can scare me and that doesn’t happen often.

I’m kinda sorta doing a rewatch. Every once in a while I’ll pop in an episode because I need some Raylan and Boyd and then I’ll keep going in order so right now I’m on season 2 and Raylan just handed Loretta that cell phone and....I just want to climb him like a tree. Winona still drives me nuts. She’s pretty and I’d see why she couldn’t stay away from Raylan because duh but...she left him for Gary I assume while they were still married and she left Gary while they were still married and went straight to Raylan. Figure your shirt out first girl! And the whole money stealing thing later and almost getting Raylan into trouble and endangering his job when he tried so hard to walk away from the shit Arlo was involved in his whole life. Ugh. Dammit Winona. I assume they did it to make her interesting. Anyway. Season 2 is awesome. Introduced the Bennett’s and Loretta and somehow Boyd becomes attractive to me. 🙂

I’d prefer more Lucifer and Amen and much less Lucifer and Chloe. That is all. Actually Lucifer and anyone but Chloe is entertaining. I really truly don’t see the appeal of Chloe.

Ok. So I watched the whole thing over the last few weeks but I’ve been afraid to come to this forum because the one thread format always spoils the show for me. So I’ve forgotten most of what I wanted to say. I wasn’t a David fan (saw more chemistry between Phillip and Darcy but whatever) but that was still a rough way to go. I don’t understand how Jeff and Carly completely lost custody of their kid. I can’t officially remember what Carly did that was so bad and Jeff was a cop and admittedly the drunk driving was BAD but my friend is a foster mother and her kids mother has done MUCH worse and they are still trying to rehab her and reunite them. It takes ALOT to permanently separate a kid. I didn’t buy it. Just saw it as the show wanting them to be kid free. I am so very curious of where they thought they were going with this story.

Well. That was kind of a boring episode for a finale. Diana looked amazing. Kelseys dress at the wedding was awful. They didn’t give Maggie and Lauren enough to do but I do love how hard they were working to save Diana from the ice toilet and not insult the uncle. It was sweet. whatever was going on with Charles and Kelsey just confused and bored me and seriously why is Charles trying SO HARD to keep her? I guess Zane and Kelsey are back on...snore. Im a little nervous for Josh and the forever21 partnership. Seems like they have ALOT of say and might run over him. Let’s see how it goes next year. He looked really good in that suit. Sometimes I think I was team Charles in first few seasons because I’m a sucker for a man who dresses well. Charles proposal was terrible and what is the ridiculousness of them just staring at each other across the dance floor? Do we really have any doubt she is going to say yes for now but something happens with Josh? I mean this isn’t our first tv show love triangle people.

I finally watched the show and I don’t really get how this episode destroyed Josh. Based on everything I read here I expected him to act like a total asshole but he didn’t. 1) Liza showed up to his place of work (I know accident on her part) and then proceeded to walk past him without even acknowledging him which would totally piss me off so I get him being angry. Actually I had a friend who stopped talking me because of his girlfriends jealousy (when NOTHING had happened between us) so I totally am identifying with Josh here. She promised to be his friend and be in his life and...well I’m team Josh on this. Only place he went too far is asking who she loved more but she’s the one implying that her feelings for him are too strong for her to be around him. Basically she started it. 2) as for the job/Claire thing. She told him she was taking it because they needed more money for their daughters future. Yes it’s a great opportunity and the feminist in me is saying follow her for her job but he has property and seemingly a pretty successful business in NY and now he’s found a way to make more money in that business. I don’t think it’s crazy that he wants to stay in NY. Maybe not even crazy she’d turn down a promotion to stay. There are lots of factors in that. The writers are just doing a terrible job showing Claire’s perspective here. Again I think Josh is doing his best and I don’t think it’s all about Liza for him and why he wants to stay. I turned down an interview in CA with google because I didn’t want to move (and they had a different opportunity in Chicago I could talk to them about -it happens). Again I may be projecting here. in summary I’m just loving Josh this year and he actually fits in Liza’s new life as he’s more integrated with her friends than Charles seems to be, and this year I’m finding Charles to be a limp noodle who makes confounding decisions and still ends up on top of his business while the ladies get punished. And I used to be team Charles!! If the writers want me to flip I guess they did a good job.

See this makes sense to me. I’ve seen the posts of “he should just move to CA” and I don’t know much about successful tattoo shops or the culture around them but I imagine he had to build a customer base and word of mouth over time. I don’t know it’s as easy as just set up shop somewhere else. Plus I imagine when they say CA they mean Mountain View, is he going to set up in San Fran? Not exactly cheap or easy to find real estate for a shop. Ok and that’s all the real world stuff I’m going to apply to a show where the main character should have been in SOOO much trouble with HR if not fired immediately. (I’m HR.)

What?! Why would they reset everything and have Kelsey look like a competent business woman one minute and then firebomb her just a few scenes later? and yes many many of us have had the men in the room dismiss us even when they agree with us or only look at the other men in the room. I’m still fuming over the guy who agreed with my 38 YO self in a meeting by saying “the young lady is correct.” Thanks OLD MAN. so freaking condescending and my male friend who was in the room COULD NOT figure out why I was so mad after. “What? He agreed with you?” Come on show! Just let her be competent! And that “I’m not going to see Josh anymore” is just Ross/Rachel/Emily level bullshit. Which I guess to be fair Charles didn’t ask her to... I’m so disappointed in you Liza.

Between this and Sense8 Netflix is making me real nervous to try any of their more imaginative original programming. Which is disappointing. Networks used to pull this crap (Firefly and Farscape cancellations broke my heart) and I thought streaming was a safe space.
