  1. So since we already have multiple timelines, why would it matter that Grant sent the message before 001 arrived? I mean, the Director is in the future, the far future really and by the time it would send 001 it would have all the information about what happened. It is analyzing all this stuff hundreds of years in the future, so its not like Grants 2001 email would get to the Director before sending 001, but then timelines so its not clear what Grants email would actually do. And really what would be the difference in Ver 2 of the program. Was it all based on 001 leaving the building that kicks off all those events? It seems in Ver 2 you could just as likely have a 001 type travelers that will buck the system and go rogue. I figured the point that was being made when they diverted Helios and the show didn't end was that there was always going to be something to cause humanity's downfall. Its like plugging holes in a dam with your fingers, its short term solution that is ineffective in the long term. Its an interesting story setup to go back in time to save the future, what what is the real end game. That they will finally do the one thing that fixes it all. It almost seems like the true solution is to just send everyone in the future back to the 21st so they can live full and happy lives.
  2. Thats right. I had to go back and rewatch 201, I didn't understand the importance of those details at the time. Also even the IT guy wasn't the one that was supposed to be there, the regular guy had called in sick. So I wonder why the Director didn't send 002 a second later, either into the host (or the host at that location) or another host in that office. Or maybe they tried another location altogether. I wondered what happened with the shelter 41 collapse that was different due to the traveler interventions. It seemed like it was a result of the Helios mission. Maybe had to do with someone who lived, maybe the shelter was built in a different way. It was referenced so much but there didn't seem to be a cause/effect relationship like we saw with other timeline changes.
  3. I don't think that led to him creating the faction. It was a different 001 that created the faction. He didn't know he was leading the faction until the faction girl told him. I think he ended up leading the faction in the new timeline because it makes the story more interesting. Also I think he was supposed to jump into the Rich guys mind, not the IT tech. I think since the IT guy was sitting in the chair and at the TELL the wrong guy was jumped into (although presumably all those people were going to die), but they just needed to jump into a guy at a keyboard. I guess since he realized it was the wrong guy, he figured it would be easier to run.
  4. Yeah I tried to make sense of it the best I could. What I figure is they keeps jumping timelines as things change, and they do directly address that with the faction. Once they jump back they are really starting a new timeline anyway since the person didn't die. Since they exist, they will continue to exist. If the Helios thing had been the one event that would have saved humanity, then they would have started a new timeline where the Director has not been made. Then they just live out their lives. So yes in that timeline there isn't a Director to send anyone back, but they are already there. As I am typing I feel like I am going in circles. But I think the bottom line is timelines just keep getting spawned on each action with the intention of spawning one without the Director. But there are still brain-hurting issues like in the timeline before Grant went back, 001 was still in the future leading the faction which means the traveler program is different? I guess all the Directors from all the timelines are connected somehow to share information. That last season sure felt like a season finale. Maybe Netflix wanted to reboot the show with new actors, maybe film in the US instead or something. Its possible some actors only singed on until the end of season 3. But the end does give them the ability to make a whole new show if they want to. Maybe one set in 2001 where we have one traveler already to greet new travelers and maybe set off a new and better path.
  5. It seems like in the Forge they perfected the copy of the human mind. I wonder if that was after William decided to stop the Delos experiment or if the Forge was just withholding the key. Although even Ford said his consciousness had a shelf-life, so maybe there was stil and issue with the human brain in host body, even if the copy is perfect. As far as the number of time Bernard was created. I assumes with the blue dress conversations were in the Forge, therefore time didn't really matter. The black dress convo was in the real world, she had already made a perfect copy, so she could make another without going through other copies. But what is Bernard? He doesn't seem to be a Arthur copy, he doesn't have his memories. But he is a copy in that he looks and acts like him. Is that immortality? Being able to live on as "yourself" but not with previous memories? So the MIB sequence at the end if in the far future. And it seems his copy always gets to the Forge elevator. That is that important life changing point in his life. But if its not a simulation, whats going on? Everything looks destroyed down there? On the surface, are there old hosts recreating this whole thing over an over. Who is maintaining them?
  6. After a day of digesting the movie, I am really looking forward to the continuation and conclusion of this story. I hope there is a good Luke/Snoke backstory. Although I don't like that they showed Snoke because we will be able to pick him out in a flashback (like Palpatine in Episode 1, no mystery there). Leia and Han seemed to know who he was in regards to Kylo's turn so I wonder if he worked with Luke on training the new class of Jedi. I am in the Rey is Luke' daughter camp. I think Luke will just tell her her mother died. But I bet Kylo killed her in his rampage as a kid and that will come out in a battle between them and cause the Skywalker emotion to trigger in Rey. Rey will make it her mission to turn Kylo to the kight side because she still thinks there is good in him. Which I guess makes for good motivation but this is the third time we are seeing this kind of thing so I hope there is something more creative. I hope they hold off the Snoke story until episode 9, I think we just need Rey's Jedi training in 8, which means there are holding really close to the 4-6 progression.
  7. I like the show but his "line....uh...line...uh uh...slight improvisation....uh..line" is getting old for every time he speaks.
  8. Well Finn didn't really look for Poe, he thought he was dead. I assume Poe thought Finn was dead and was more concerned with his mission, which I guess he abandoned quickly and left the planet. Loved the movie. Seems like Rey is obviously Luke's daughter. I hope they don't try to change it in 8 because everyone is guessing right and they decided to make something up that just doesn't fit. Glad that Kylo is still out there and the mysteries of Snoke. Looks like there is a lot of backstory of what happened with Luke and Kylo hopefully its not told in some big exposition dump between Luke and Rey.
  9. It reaaly looked like he hit the floor though. You could see the difference in space between him and the floor. Maybe it was less padding.
  10. The clapping kid is one of Bill Lawrence's sons. I think it was the 2nd episode this season at the end as they panned to the band he was half looking at the camera and clapping. I don't think it was planned so now it seems they keep using him in the opening. Its kind of getting old at this point though. I watched the West Coast right after the East coast on hulu, it was great to see the differences. Bill Lawrnece tweeted between the shows that they were going over stuff for the West coast. So it looks like they do some tweaks, some jokes changed that might have worked. One thing I noticed in the East you could see the mattress for the trust fall. In the West there was no mattress and I think he fell on the ground for real. Also in the East theey had the Netlfix joke and I think that prompted the cancelled joke with the puppets (Chris D'Elia's previous sitcom Whitney got cancelled, that was the joke, they have referenced it before). But there was more adlibbing and breaking on the West which I thought was the funnier of the two. I bet it was the cousin joke that almost got them cancelled, it crossed the risque line IMO. I really like the meta digs at the cast.
