  1. Similar to slay and sick is "slap". Slapping used to be a bad thing....now good things slap, as in "That song really slaps". Irritating.
  2. I don't care about the song one way or another, but I HATE whistling. My small office actually has a no whistling policy because they don't want me to go postal on them! I've taken to carrying the remote around the house so I can mute the minute I hear this one start....which is quite often.
  3. Not to mention that customer's "hairstyle"....looks kind of like she just got up.
  4. Not all of us were disappointed in this episode because it didn't have lots of action.
  5. I just bought Daisy cottage cheese for the first time (trying different ones since what I've bought for years is going downhill quality control-wise) and it SUCKS. It has a sweetness to it that is not cottage-cheesy in any way. I actually like this commercial, because the gas station attendant actor is so good. I totally buy him as the guy he's playing! What I hate about this commercial is that the grandma slurping through her straw is supposed to be awesomely cute. I disagree. I'm old enough to be a grandma, and I hope my kids would be appalled if I did that.
  6. I understand what you're saying, but I still think the kidnapping, hostagetaking, killing families of, etc of behind-the-scenes cops, like CSI teams, or behavior profilers (Criminal Minds) is beyond what would happen in real life. Who would even know who they are?
  7. But he is doing something, or maybe we're talking about different commercials.....he's coming out of retirement, getting his onesies, and going back to help investors NOT manage their money by memes!!!!!
  8. I didn't say it was slow; for me, the transformation into almost a pure BB prequel hasn't been what I was looking for in the show. I'm in it for Jimmy and Kim.
  9. I kept thinking throughout that Nacho was going to be OK, because of the line in Breaking Bad when Saul asks "Did Nacho send you?" I have been totally uninterested in the cartel/drug storyline for many episodes, except for Michael Mando's compelling performance. Now there's not even that, which makes me wonder if I'm done with this show.
  10. I'm amazed that you guys can remember something from episode 2 - I mean, how many years ago was that?? That'll never be me; I was confused enough with the drug storyline in just this episode!
  11. I'm guessing you mean how she almost imperceptibly nods her head all the time? I just started watching the HBO doc (stopped when I realized I had actually already watched it lol); there is a lot of real-life Elizabeth in it, and she's a bobblehead almost all the time.
  12. The dogs sitting outside Ian's door, scratching and whimpering and wanting their guy to come out, killed me almost as much as Ian's death did.
  13. I thought, from Bad Blood, The Dropout podcast, and other things I'd read, that it was Elizabeth who was phobic about needles. But this show makes it about her mom being that way. Do I remember wrong, or did the show change it?
  14. One of my very favorite moments of every day is when I'm done with the "getting ready in the bathroom" part. The quicker I can become presentable the better; this is probably why I've never been a makeup gal.
  15. I thought the premise of KCF*H is that the wife plans to murder Kevin. Do I have that wrong? Because that didn't interest me at all. Here's my questions about "awareness" ads: who, exactly, isn't aware of breast cancer? It might be better to advertise (if that's the right word) early detection, reputable organizations to donate to, etc.
  16. I love In Plain Sight. Wish I had this Start TV that you speak of, but it doesn't appear to be on my system. Dang. I feel happy every time I hear the beginning of that song, but not when it's a commercial. Goddammit Pete is right.
  17. If this wasn't in episode 5, shouldn't it be spoiler tagged?
  18. I thought I was the only one. I know that all of a sudden she's considered a national treasure, but I really get tired of her screaming at me from the TV. To be sure, commercials with *anyone* screaming are incredibly annoying. Why is that a thing?
  19. But...isn't Johnny dead? Or do you think that's just what were supposed to think? I don't remember that many men; there was the photographer, and Travis. Who am I missing?
  20. The screaming one I hate, that has been on ALL the time during the NCAA tournament, is the one for Uber Eat with Leslie Jones. I know we're all supposed to love her, and treat her as a national treasure, but the alt-Leslie Jones screaming about March Madness doesn't make me one tiny bit interested in what she's selling. Are you calling us twits if we happen to think the Jake commercials are OK, or the people in the commercials?
  21. Except that if they're at Johnny's funeral, wouldn't Marah be sadder than she's appearing? All she does is keep bucking Kate up.
  22. I think that if the guy is counting on Blake to help him, he'd have contacted him sometime during the 25 years since their band broke up.
  23. Yeah, I played actual board games and cards with my mom, and we did some crafty things together, but playing with toys or play-acting? Never. And I gotta tell ya, when my kids were young I hated playing with toys with them (unless it was building with blocks, Legos, etc.). They learned quite early to play by themselves.
  24. I asked this same question in here a long time ago, and got the same type of responses you did. Apparently everyone dances when they're happy, or something good happens, or they like a product, except for you and me.
