  1. The Europa hotel. I actually stayed there about ten years ago or so. My husband and I were in a new section, but my two daughters were in the old section. They were a little weirded out.
  2. There is a forum for this show, at least the British version - “Back in Time For…” there are several iterations, including “Back in time for school “ and “Back in time for tea”.
  3. Go Gators! (Ahem). That is all. ; )
  4. I ordered from Oui lids online - they were $3.99 for 4 lids, and the shipping price was small, via USPS. They came quickly, too.
  5. And their jars are so cute! I even ordered the lids for them!
  6. We had one briefly. It made small cubes, and not a lot, but maybe better than your fridge ice maker, if you have to keep defrosting it.
  7. I no longer have a Sam’s membership, and rarely go to Walmart (Target is closer), but maybe I’ll check them out sometime. I just miss those sesame seed Pepperidge Farm crackers. They used to also come in a trio package, I believe.
  8. I loved these, can’t find a decent substitute.
  9. Michael, Carla, and Clinton are all employees of the Food Network now in various capacities. Even “Sparkles”, aka Jackie Rothong has some live cooking classes on the Food Network subscription app. I keep hoping that if the app is successful, they could put together some type of “Chew” type show on the app, perhaps once a month or as a seasonal special. I guess I can dream. Not to compete with The Kitchen “ on the network.
  10. Well, their new streaming service, which had a 3 month free trial I took advantage of, has actual cooking classes! I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but now I kind of do, and I have to decide by Feb. 5 if I want to pay for it. Michael Symon has 3 live shows every Thursday. Other food Network personalities have classes throughout the week. Most are simple recipes, but if you enjoy the “chefs” (some are, some are not), it is a nice way to kill some time.
  11. I miss the Pepperidge Farms sesame crackers that used to come with the four pack of crackers. We used to get them for the holidays. Now they just have the trios. The sesame crackers went so well with my clam and shrimp dip. I haven’t found a replacement.
  12. Ugh, to think that I used to admire this guy. In the earlier days of food Network, I used to watch Molto Mario, along with Ina Garten and Giada. I really only have admiration for only one now. Guess who?
  13. They really need at least one other permanent co-host.
  14. Thanks for reminding me about this book! I read it many years ago - I’m going to reread it now!
  15. I am tempted to buy the https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M8MMLBI/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1RKT9I7JAX4MC&colid=39AWHTCO21JR&psc=1 (joule Sous vide) implement. Serious Eats gave it a good review, and it will fit in a drawer. I have no room for any more counter top appliances. Has anyone tried at home Sous vide?
  16. How about Kenji Lopez Alt? He’s been on a few times, and is clearly knowledgeable about food and cooking techniques. I also love Sarah Moulton.
  17. I was beginning to think they were grooming her for more air time. She seems to have a lot of cooking chops. She’s a natural on television, too, which helps.
  18. Jesse Palmer was quarterback for the Florida Gators(chomp chomp, go Gators), then played in the NFL. He has co-hosted The Chew many times, before his morning talk-show gig. I think he is a foodie. He was also on the Bachelor. Whether or not any of that qualifies him to be a judge on this show, I don't know, but I'm not sure about the other two, either. Maybe they have a hard time finding judges because the show is so lame?
  19. Has anyone else read Clinton's book? There are some funny stories, but you definitely should read the chapter "Turd in a Punch Bowl" about Paula Deen's guest visit. Seriously, just go to a library and read that chapter.
  20. That's how I prepare my Thanksgiving turkey. Try it! It works!
  21. It's not a craft corner without Clinton Kelly.
  22. Ugh! I love the Sand Pearl Resort! I've stayed there many times. We almost had our daughter's wedding there!
  23. I am watching the new show that I DVR'd today, and thought I'd take a peek again at tickets for the Epcot food and wine shows. They have opened them up, but I am already waitlisted for every one. If you are interested in going, I suggest you try getting on the wait list as well.
