  1. Very fun episode. It seems like the producers are settling in with this show and getting creative with the stories and the characters. They know what they have with the show and where they want to take it, and I'm happy to be along for the ride. This was the first time I actually liked Todd's sister. She was such a downer last season; at least now she's still a downer, but in a more entertaining way.
  2. Charles complaining that Camilla was heroic and was never fully appreciated for her actions reminded me of the episode of "The Office" when Michael claimed that "Holly and I are like Romeo & Juliet, and the rest of this office ise like the dragon that kept them apart". LOL Somebody on this show must have it in for Prince Harry because he really comes across as a complete jerk here (and the actor plays him as if he's Loki in "The Avengers"). I've never really followed the royal family in that much detail, but I always thought Harry was considered a rascal, or a lovable scamp. This fictionalized version of him seems much more malevolent.
  3. I really enjoyed this show! I wish they'd done 10 episodes like last season, though. I'm afraid the ratings haven't been too good. I've got to hand it to the producers of "The Bachelor"/"The Bachelorette" for their casting of beautiful-yet-tough-as-nails contestants, though. In the 2 seasons of "Special Forces", there have been 3 alumni of these dating shows here and ALL 3 have won this show! Who knew the Fantasy Suite provided such first-class workouts!
  4. I thought Jag's speech was harsh, but perfect for what he was trying to do. He needed to counteract Matt's friendly "Kumbaya" speech since Matt had the Everyone Loves Me vote locked up. By bragging that he had the blood of the entire jury on his hands, he took full responsibility for the backstabbing and strategic moves. It was impressive and it paid off. If I was on the jury, I would have hated hearing that speech but I would have had to (grudgingly) voted for Jag. I'm glad we had a full 2 hours for the finale. Many times, the last episode of the season lines up with the season premiere of "Survivor" where both are 90 minutes long. Those BB episodes always seem so rushed. 2 hours is much more leisurely and allows for more interactions. Cameron, the "agent of chaos", seemed surprised when Mecole said she thought he was the villain of the season but, on watching the show from home, realized he was the hero of the season. I really enjoyed how genuinely surprised and humbled he seemed when he won AFP. Funniest line of the entire BB season: Julie: Matt, which 2 contestants do YOU think are secretly related to each other? Matt: I don't know.....Corey and America? :o
  5. I'm not surprised Felicia talked to BB ("Mr. B") all the time but I WAS surprised that he frequently answered her! That was pretty funny, especially when he was obviously fed up with her. LOL The next-to-last episode of the season is always a clip show, but this one was kind of entertaining. I was planning on fast-forwarding through most of it (it's the one episode I don't watch "live" for that very reason) but I ended up forgetting to FF and watched the entire thing. Can't wait until Thursday. I'd be happy with either a Jag or Matt win.
  6. "Previously on BIG BROTHER: Quentin Tarantino finally got his shot at directing an episode of Big Brother, and he made the MOST out of Felicia's foot hygiene procedures. Just wait for when the Emmy Awards committee comes a-knocking on the BB door!" Seriously, couldn't we have had a segment on the houseguests getting video messages from home, or letters, or SOMETHING other than FEET?!?!? I did love when the announcer said in the opening of the episode, "Yes, it's the Halloween season and Big Brother is STILL on the air!". LOL
  7. Jag handled the Invisible HoH about as poorly as possible this week. Blabbing to Cory and America was mistake #1. Nominating Blue and Felicia instead of Cory and America was mistake #2. Needlessly putting his relationship with Blue at risk was Mistake #3. Showing his weakness as the HoH/leader for the week was Mistake #4. I've been a fan of his all season, but I'm starting to wonder if he has what it takes to get to the end in this game.
  8. LOL I don't think ANY woman likes it when her boyfriend can wear her clothes! I don't see a long-term relationship coming out of this.
  9. When Cirie stood and gave her message to the Houseguests before voting began, she wanted to say Hi to her sons and, for a split second, I thought she was going to say "Jared". She smartly just named 2 sons, but if I were in her place, I promise I would have accidently spilled the beans. I have to admire Cirie for being able to keep this secret for so long! I'm sorry to see Cameron go, only because he was a schemer and schemers in the BB house are always appreciated, especially this late in the season. He definitely kept things interesting! One thing that I've really enjoyed this season is the fluidity of the factions in the house. Unlike in some seasons, where there are 2 opposing forces struggling with each other, this season we have a bunch of duos and trios that are shifting alliances constantly. It really keeps things moving and makes every conversation interesting. You never know when someone is going to say just the wrong thing and unknowingly blow up their entire game (Cam ruining his relationship with Bowie this week being a prime example). Every group in the house has a reason to go against every other group, but also a reason to team up with every other group. Fascinating!
  10. Zingbot was even funnier than usual last night. The "America" song about Corey was brutal! LOL I didn't quite hear Matt's zing; something about the cardboard cutout of Josh Duhumal, but I missed it. I was wondering if there was a sign language interpreter off-camera who was conveying the jokes to Matt since he obviously couldn't read OTEV's lips. Is there usually someone off-camera during challenges to help him with some of the rules? When Julie reads clues for challenges, how does he know what she's saying? It's not looking good for Cameron tonight. I'm afraid his trust in Jag and Matt and his insistence that Bowie knock out Corey is going to doom him. He's a good strategist but his social game is terrible.
  11. This was a good episode with lots of strategic talk and an almost formal re-alignment of the various 2-person factions in the house. However, 10:00 is really too late on a Sunday night for this show, especially when it's frequently pushed even further back due to football overruns. They really need to push the show back up to 8:00 so fans can watch more easily.
  12. "Double Eviction Week" is like early Christmas in my house. I love it! Last night was no exception. Suddenly, all the houseguests are running around, out of breath, trying desperately to strategize in the limited time of a TV commercial break, and everyone's plans are thrown up into the air. So much panic! haha I'd be surprised if this zombie thing is the only time we get an evicted houseguest returning to the game. We still have nearly 50 days of game left and a dwindling number of players! I hope Cameron is the one coming back this time. That'll shake things up in the house and give us several groups of players competing with each other rather than just "Team Cirie" vs "The Others".
  13. Best week of Big Brother in quite some time! At first, I didn't care whether it was Izzy or Felicia who got sent home (glad to see either of them go) but all the secret machinations going on last night, and the revelations to several of the contestants about what was REALLY going on behind their backs (Cam finding out about Jared working against him; Cory finding out he wasn't as close to Cirie and Izzy as he thought; Matt and Jag finding out their 7 Deadly Sins alliance was fake, etc.) was so exciting to watch. After all of that, I was rooting so hard for Izzy to get sent packing; and then, she was! So THIS is what happens when you're part of 7-8 different alliances in the house at the same time! haha
  14. Great episode! I was so worried Cameron was going to wimp out and pull the whole "It's too early to rock the boat" excuse. Instead, he played everyone like a boss! I'm happy with either Izzy or Felicia going this week. I still think that Cirie is untouchable at this point. These contestants are so far up her butt it set off the Stink-o-Meter at "10"!
  15. Julie: "It's Day 30 in the BB House and it appears that at least some of these knuckleheads are starting to realize that we've thrown a Ringer into the House just to mess with them." America (the contestant, not the country): "You know how Cirie played on Survivor 4 times? And how Jeff Probst himself called her one of the best players ever? And how she just won some other show called The Traitors, where she manipulated and back-stabbed a bunch of other professional reality show contestants, including some BB All-Stars? Well, I'm starting to think that maybe she could be the person secretly calling all the shots in the House right now. Maybe she's a threat and we shouldn't be going to her for advice on how to vote and stuff. I know, crazy, right?" Wow, only 30 days to figure that BB "twist" out! haha
  16. I was glad to see Cameron win The Pressure Cooker and declare he was there TO PLAY THE GAME! .....then, he nominated Jag and Blue. Why!!!!???? Cirie and Izzy needed to be nominated. Izzy can't stand Cam or Red, and Cirie is the biggest threat in the house due to her "fame". Glad to see the Pressure Cooker back, though. I wish they'd release the noxious fumes, the flies, and other "tortures" earlier, though. Also, 13+ hours and no one went pee-pee on the floor? Wow!
  17. This episode is the perfect example of why I love this show so much! I was so excited to see Hasim get blind-sided and, boy, did he get taken by surprise! He was so mad as the credits rolled! LOL I love when there's a villain who everyone (EVERYONE!) in the house agrees needs to be gone and relishes the opportunity to kick him to the curb. So satisfying! The Veto competition was a lot of fun. I laughed throughout the entire segment! Felecia made it through the goop ONCE! Jag lost both his boots. Corey lost his pants. Everyone was totally exhausted by the end. The non-players were on the sidelines, delighted by the battle. Crawling through goop, covered in colorful feathers, and laying a giant egg makes for some silly, fun viewing. When Hasim speaks in the Diary Room, he reminds me of Marcus Lemonis from "The Profit". Anyone else see the resemblance in looks, diction, and mannerisms?
  18. I really enjoy this show so much more when there's a real hiss-able villain that all the HouseHamsters can join forces against! Thanks for being in the BB house, Hisam. I hope to see your exit on Thursday! haha Will Hisam actually get backdoored this week? or, as noted above, will Felicia back out and decide to keep her "alliance-member" in? Finally, something to look forward to this season! I question whether Blue and Jared actually have a showmance. I think Cirie would spot it and at least mention it (and as we all know, if Cerie mentions ANYTHING, the BB producers dutifully broadcast it to us!).
  19. Okay, they got me this time. They actually had me convinced that the House was going to flip and kick out Felecia. I mean, it makes sense - you get rid of a person who's known to be part of "the other side" and keep a person with NO allies at all. Man, I feel so stupid! LOL Well, at least I got a surprise as the voting went on. Hisam "didn't hear" what Luke said, huh? I guess his eyes ALWAYS completely bug out when someone says something he didn't quite pick up on. Was he trying to hang Wormy Corey out to dry by denying everything? And why does Corey dress like a shoe-shine boy straight out of a 1940s detective movie? I appreciate Julie's attempts to really sell the latest in-game twists, even if the twists are SO lame! haha
  20. I love these early episodes of BB because of all the new people and seeing how they interact with each other. There are always those who play too hard too early and people who shoot themselves in the foot without realizing it. Lots of fun! I'm sorry to see people flocking to Cirie so far, even going so far as to asking her for advice. Bad move, guys. They should all be conspiring to evict her ASAP! In past years, they would start the BB season with a "BB Week" consisting of the premier episode (usually kind of a yawner) followed by 1 or even 2 more episodes in the following nights. This year, we got a Wednesday premier and then nothing until Sunday night. I hope that doesn't lose us some new viewers!
  21. After (I think) the 3rd commercial break where all the contestants were simply standing there in front of Julie (who kept teasing the "twists" they'll soon encounter), I started yelling at my TV "Just start playing the game!!!". Way too much build-up - and way too many commercial breaks! The competitions were good (except for that last one where they were just laying on the ground while dramatic music played). I just re-watched the movie "Idiocracy" earlier in the day, so seeing the "Kicking Butt" competition reminded me of the "Ow, My Balls" show in that movie. LOL Adding Cirie as an extra contestant adds nothing to the show for me. I guess we'll also be getting at least one more surprise contestant soon? With 100 days to kill, they could add so many twists that the show becomes unrecognizable - something I hope doesn't happen.
  22. I really don't like the boss at the law firm. Margaret brings in 32% of all revenue to the firm and the boss is instead openly interviewing outsiders for the position of "named partner". I'd consider that a slap in the face. Margaret could move to any firm in the city and take her book-of-business with her with no problem at all. Having said that, I hope she doesn't leave. Those offices are beautiful!
  23. The bad guy's plan made no sense. He got away with murder 5 years ago, and now he's willing to put himself at risk (and maybe kill lots of other people) just so the convicted murderer gets the death penalty right away? Whether he gets put to death or "just" life in prison, the bad guy's still safe. Todd supposedly found a witness that may make the conviction look a little wobbly, but the bad guy is STILL safe. There's no reason for any of this to have happened! The Portland SWAT team wasn't very impressive. They silently move in on a guy with the trigger for a human bomb and then rely on one of the hostages to wrestle the trigger out of his hand!
  24. I thought this was a pretty good episode and did it's best to 'fix" all the problems that were created in E9. So, Starfleet really IS the "next generation" since very few people in it are over 25 years old, but at least a few like Tuvok and 7 managed to survive. Was this the Borg Queen from "Star Trek: First Contact"? She and part of her Borg crew survived that encounter but were left in the 21st century, where they've been hiding out in the storm center of Jupiter all this time? I can accept that. Her need for revenge must have been monumental! Counselor Troi worker harder in this show than she ever did on TNG. Suddenly, everyone wants to talk about their "feelings" - especially the Klingon and the android! haha What happened to the Enterprise F? I've been flying that ship in Star Trek Online for years and it finally makes it onto the show (at it's launching, no less!). Then everyone turns into a Borg, there's a big fight, and a year later, the Titan is now the Enterprise G. Where's the F? They can't have 2 Enterprises out there at the same time, can they? I like the idea of a spin-off with 7 and Jack, but could we lose Raffi? She's terrible. I miss Captain Shaw - he was awesome!
  25. The Governor really didn't come across very well, did she? 1. She wants to "call in the favor" she did Margaret several episodes ago for a personal issue. Does this mean Mararet is working for free? Also, the "favor" led to dreeing 2 adult children from the clutches of murderous parents, so wouldn't the Governor be able to make use of that detail to help her in her re-election campaign? Seems like the "favor" was good for everyone-including the Governor. 2. Margaret threw a very expensive, catered meal for the Governor, who spent the entire time 'working" and ignoring the entire family before walking out for an "emergency" and no explanation. What kind of emergency popped up on a weekday evening with perfectly fine weather outside? It was very rude. Also, did Lawrence return the next day to pick up the printer that the Governor had had installed in Margaret's bathroom? 3. The Governor decided to cut all ties with her sister, even though Margaret and Todd had just proven that not only was her sister not using drugs (or crazy), but that some nefarious person/persons was/were trying to steal the family farm for some reason. Normally, characters like this, especially if they're a politician, are written as a villain. For some reason, that didn't happen here. Even so, I think the Governor is a jerk. Lawrence definitely has some mommy-issues. What did Margaret do to her poor kids?!? lol Lawrence's unswerving devotion to the Governor made me think he either had some weird, misplaced fixation on her or he mistakenly believes he can one day assassinate her and seize control of the Governor's Oregon throne, for some reason. Lawrence's husband is a newspaper reporter. I wonder if he recuses himself from covering stories about the Governor or if he would actually write something "unfavorable" about her. Could be an interesting plot. Todd's sister (who I still don't like) has some serious issues. Too bad NOBODY seems to notice! When this gets resolved at some point, I hope it means her husband, Chuck, actually gets some lines. (Have we seen the lower half of Chuck in this show yet? He always seems to just be sitting at the dinner table, eating.) Glad the show got renewed for next season!
