  1. Just rewatched the series and I don't know how I forgot just how violent this show is. The physical violence of course but the emotional and psychological violence is really intense. Also the racism is through the roof. Yall ever notice how Black people are the constant scapegoats for their crimes and betrayals of each other? And the racial slurs they use for Blacks, Asians, Latinos. And I GET IT, they are mafiosos from New Jersey, I would not expect a single one of them to be enlightened about race/race relations but sometimes it's hard to watch 80+ hours of so many variations of the n-word. And the casual misogyny...wow. It's still a fascinating show, especially w/r/t cinematography and the acting. (I particularly liked the dream sequences) but...whew. It's hard to watch a lot of times. I also think it's interesting to read articles that say they started out as lovable bad guys and got worse as the season went on...uh no. Every character was heinous from day one lol One more thing: Michael Imperioli is a brilliant actor because I really despised Christofuh. But I think those moments when Chrisofuh seemed halfway redeemable was Michael shining through.
  2. I might just be talking to myself in this forum at this point since I only just now saw this show but I just want to point out how fine both of them are. Although, Richie was way more of a psycho in the first season and I felt conflicted being so attracted to a character that was so repugnant. But Zane Holtz...wow. What a face. Same thing with DJ Cotrona. He is pretty, especially when they let him grow out that Clooney '96 haircut and gave him the neck tattoo.
  3. I just binge-watched all three seasons over the weekend. I had no idea they made the movie into a TV show until it popped up on Netflix. The first season was ok but also weird because it stretched a relatively short movie into a 10 hour season. The second season was hit or miss for me, I agree that the show worked best when the brothers play off each other. The third season was ridiculous but still entertaining, despite the actress playing Kate/Amaru really not having the range. DJ Cotrona looked damn fine the longer the show went on too. I thought the third season finale was kind of stupid (Kate decides to become the Bonnie to the Geckos' Clyde? Richie can rob banks in broad daylight without special UV protection? OK?) but the gun battle in the abandoned town was pretty cool. Campy and utterly ridiculous but cool. I wouldn't have minded a fourth season, I was digging the monster of the week direction the show went in during the third season. I also felt like there was a good dose of humor and acknowledgment of the ridiculousness of the show while all the actors were still game.
  4. I have been away from Previously.TV for far too long. I miss these hilarious discussions of the HOT ASS mess that is LAHH:ATL. Looking forward to cutting up in here again. Last Monday's episode was even more of a hot mess than the usual. I will say that I think Treasure is "23" like Margot Robbie is "26." She is fooling NO ONE. Also, I think Tommie is genuinely nuts and needs to be in therapy and not on reality TV. Mona, you know you wrong for this.
  5. So glad there is a thread for Greenleaf. I ended up enjoying this show way more than I thought I would in season 1 so I am back for season 2. I do want to say that I'm glad Charity called things off. Kevin has a lot of things he needs to figure out about himself and it isn't fair to Charity to make her pretend because he is too afraid to explore that part of himself. I hope he realizes that he needs to live in his truth and that there is absolutely no shame in being gay/bi. On a shallow note: Charity looks great with the short hair and earth tone makeup. Oh and I am SO looking forward to seeing more of Tim Reid. Love him so much.
  6. I'm watching this show via On Demand now, as my parents refused to let me watch this when it originally aired. And thank goodness because this shit is INTENSE. I'm currently on season four and I do have to say I really enjoy Beecher completely cracking, and when Schillinger was persona non grata when he wanted someone to kill Beecher. I also think the riot plotline was really good. Everyone did some amazing acting and I like that the ramifications played out throughout subsequent seasons. Oh and Sister Peter Marie considering leaving the nunhood because of Keller's crazy ass. Can't blame her though, Chris Meloni is fine as hell.
  7. Peter is a sociopath, I'm convinced of that. Amina needs to get far, far away from him, but that won't be happening any time soon. I also agree with the posters who are disturbed that she's telling Peter's daughter all of this. I'm glad that they are close and she trusts her, but this is a major breach of boundaries. She needs friends her age or a support group. The fucked up thing is I think Peter really does love Amina and really does care about her but he's so twisted that he can't express love in healthy ways. It's sad. And gross. Mostly sad. Cisco and Rich are misogynistic fuckboys. So it's cool for you two to stick your dick in whatever hole you can find but a woman can't decide to play the field and be noncommittal to either one of you? She has to be at home waiting for one of you to decide if you want to be with her? Ugh. Fuck them both, especially because this puts me in a position of defending Mariah"Not About That Life"Lynn. And to be super petty, Cisco looks like a damn mole with all that squinting he does. Ugh. Yandy is trash for pitting Mo and Young B against each other like that. You want to talk about being professional? How about not inviting an artist you've signed to sit in on the same session as someone you know they had multiple altercations with? And girl please. You are not Berry Gordy and you are not running Motown so chill with the shopping of tracks to different rappers. At least I heard of Young B before this show, I have NEVER in my black ass life heard of Mo before this garbage heap of a season started airing. Fall back, Yandy. Rah irritates me so much. She's just so raggedy for no reason. The only thing I agree with her ever is her calling Rich a THOT, because that is exactly what he is. Self is a joke. He looked so corny up there with his "gwiinning" (however you spell that mess) crew in the extra slow-motion. Like, this is not 1999, you are not Nas, nor Puff, and this is not the "Hate Me Now" video shoot. I hate you Mona Scott-Young! Why do I keep watching this show?!
  8. *hugs* Sending you love and light. Break ups are the gotdamn worst and this dude sounds kind of full of it (because you asked for my opinion lol). But seriously, wishing you the best. Hope you feel better. -- As far the show....chiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllld I can't with any of these hos, heffas, hee-haws, and hoolyhoos*, and I'm including the men and the women. The nerve of Tara...of COURSE Peter is concerned about Amina and how she'll take the news that he conducted the first successful interspecies reproduction by getting a damn yardbird pregnant, that's his WIFE! If Taranasha doesn't get the WHOLE fuck... You know what, I can't even make a commentary on the rest of the episode, that mess alone was enough to make me want to go all Elvis on my TV screen. I'm hoping against hope that Lord Tariq will make a trip from whatever rock he's been under to gather Dirty Feet Pete all the way together. *Exceptions: Papoose and Remy Ma. He seems like a great husband. And I love it when guys look like their moms, I always found that cute. Oh and Cardi B. She can stay. #CardiB2016 P.S. I apologize in advance, you guys... (shoulda never gave me photoshop...)
  9. ESPECIALLY since she has two kids. It's not like she's never been pregnant before and didn't know the symptoms. I'm so TIRED of her! She needs to see a real therapist and work out whatever issues she has around boundaries and relationships and self-worth. Peter's ass needs to be in therapy too, but I'm not sure if therapy helps sociopaths? Any psych majors here?
  10. This show is straight TRASH. Amina? TRASH for taking Peter back for the 832736237th time Peter? TRASH for being Peter Taranasha? TRASH for getting pregnant on an air mattress by a married nicca Self? TRASH for being unfaithful and for grinning all the gatdamn time Yandy? TRASH for acting like she has managed anyone else besides Jim Jones, who hasn't done anything relevant since the Dubya administration Lexi? TRASH for going to a stiletto expert to be her manager MariahLynn? TRASH because she always wants to jump bad when we all know she doesn't have the hands to back it up Rah? TRASH for too many reasons to list here. Rose is too slow and too much of a nonfactor to be TRASH but I don't need her and her semaphoring titties on my screen. Toya is TRASH for that wig alone, but she is also apparently a notorious NYC scam artist The only people I really bang with are Remy Ma because she actually has talent and zero tolerance for BS and Cardi B who is hilarious and honest about who and what she is. Phew. Glad I got that off my chest. See y'all next week!
  11. I had to pause it when he said old girl looked like Ox from Belly! "The original Jamaican dun datta"! Nooooooooo
  12. So, like, does Treach have like a twitter or Instagram or something? I'm uh...asking for a friend... Also I'm rolling at your whole comment. The shade. Oh the shade of it all.
  13. Amen! Tara needs to go to therapy. Like, she needs to see a real therapist, not that sockless quack who travels between reality shows. There is no dick in this world that is worth putting yourself through what Tara has been putting herself through. No ma'am.
  14. Tara is a bird who tries to act like she's not just because she enunciates her words. I like Cardi B because she's an honest bird. I feel bad for Amina. I really hope she divorces Peter, moves to Germany, and focuses on her daughter and her music. That dude is a cancer. He's the Walter White of this show. Also, it's weird that his daughter looks like Tara. Why is Yandy acting like Mercedes' sentence being postponed is the same as the case being thrown out? He's still going to prison thanks to choices he made. She's acting like this is some kind of COINTELPRO set-up. :/ I read somewhere that MariahLynn's mom is only 38. Goddamn, she's only a few years older than me and she looks about a smooth 76. I'm also really over Mariah trying to be the snowbunny version of Erica Mena. Treach looks GOODT. He single? Also, I can't take Mo and Lexxy seriously at all. Neither one of them needs to be rapping. THOTlicious?! It's like a Boondocks parody. Lawd, this show. This needs to be my last season watching this mess.
