  1. I actually thought it was a deliberate acting choice rather than a script thing. This guy hasn’t dated for 20 years so of course he’s going to have some awkwardness at trying something new. I thought that whole relationship was beautifully done, and totally believable. In fact, it’s the only time I’ve ever bought Noah Wyle in a romantic on screen relationship, which was an unexpected treat. I suffered through years and years of the awful, chemistry free relationships Carter was stuck in on ER.
  2. When Killer Frost announced her name I nearly spat out my tea, it was so unintentionally funny. DP delivers her lines like she's reading aloud from her script for the first time. She was ok though, I was expecting much worse. Loved Reverb, Iris, Deadshot, Tommy Merlyn being alive (bonus Oliver being dead). Would have liked more Harry but it is a two parter. I wonder if they'll have poor Jay slip on a banana skin next week? I don't read comics, but I'm assuming Jay Garrick isn't supposed to be a drug addicted, sad sack, oaf?
  3. The costume looks very Batman & Robin. Obviously not a compliment. I'm just hoping the short clips we've seen of KF are not an accurate representation of the character because yeesh, that line delivery! I was hoping KF would help DP work to her strengths for obvious (wooden) reasons but I'm not so sure...
  4. Jack Laskey and Francois Arnaud were absolutely brilliant in that episode. I don't get teary eyed at television that often but this one got me.
  5. As much as Cary and Diane were central, I never felt like they got much focus from the writers. It always felt like they were concentrating on Alicia's (awful) storylines and thinking: "Now what can we do with Diane and Cary?" There's a lot of untapped potential in those characters.
  6. Samar's "you sucked in bed" would have been funnier if it hadn't been in response to her pride being hurt. Ressler was up front with her and she was embarrassed. I kind of wish she'd said it to him in another context as I love Samar, and petulance isn't something she displays usually.
  7. Jay and Harrison fight like bitter exes. And I enjoy it.
  8. This episode was good, up until the last few minutes. They're not going to have a relationship, and while I could see something like that happening in real life with no blow back, the only reason it happened here was to manufacture unnecessary drama. And the only drama I can think of is unplanned pregnancy or simply crushing poor Aram. I like neither of these options. And we didn't even get naked Ressler to make up for any of it! Ugh.
  9. He has been underused at times but I do get the impression that the writers like the character a lot because he gets these little moments of awesomeness when he hasn't been on screen a lot. Diego is great though, and the frustration, anger and inner conflict are on show with every decision he makes. He's a smart guy but his emotions bubble up and get the best of him at times. It bothers me that people think Ressler is somehow stupid because Red is always one step ahead. Being one step behind a master criminal who has been a ghost (and has 1000 contingency plans) isn't a slight on Ressler's intelligence. Yet some people act like he's got an IQ of 1 because he has a hard time predicting the behaviour of an unpredictable career criminal. And Red's comment to Liz about him being an FBI robot made no sense because Red knows he's not like that. So unless it was just about trying to make Liz forget about him, it was a bad bit of writing .
  10. Liz telling Ressler to back off was so dumb I was rolling my eyes. He's literally doing the only thing he can and she's lucky that it's him and not some random who wont thinking twice about shooting. Ressler is the most interesting character to me at the minute because he has no real choice in what's happening and everyone is giving him shit about it.
  11. Bit late to this, but if you mean the guy who was abusing his wife and those 'associates' of his, they weren't ex-IRA. He asked if Paul was a 'taig' in the elevator.
  12. He's always been hot but those pants were really working for him :o Distracting, one might say...
