  1. I thought Lisa looked so good in her sweater when she made tea and didn't want to. I think she is gorgeous but I grow weary of always seeing her cleavage. She can rock a white button up like nobody's business and wish she'd dress that way more often. If Jax girlfriend indeed hooked that weekend up, she's stupid. That's like laying out ten fat lines to a coke user and leaving the room saying "enjoy, but don't snort that". I'm not mitigating Jax behavior at all, but she's trying to be Arianna cool levels if she really did orchestrate that weekend. I also learned that a wedding invite doesn't imply a plus one or guest.
  2. This is incredible. I'm so proud of you! You clearly have been diligent in your efforts if it's since Februaury. That is such an accomplishment to keep on keepin on! Congratulations!
  3. Fozzybear that post was made of so much win I can only say "well done". So here's the part that concerns me. I know exactly how Kristen feels. I have been in that mind. Difference being I would fantasize dressing to the 9s and "bumping into" my ex, but never followed through. But I believe there was a time where I was certifiably insane after one particular breakup. Yet I didn't let the outside world know. That's the difference. And for hope for anyone out there who knows of the psycho I speak...four years later and he's texting me today, haha. So faking you're the Arianna type can pay off in spades ;)
  4. Stillshimpy. I think you need to open a dog daycare in your town. Man, I would really shell out the bucks if I knew my pup was in your care. Consider it!Edited for double post. My phone is more high maintenance than my dog lately!
  5. As of today I've lost 27 pounds. I think I look a lot better and attribute a lot of that to exercise. I'm more at my weight I was the great majority of my life so it's good to be back. I don't know what happened, but I went through a pretty serious "I don't give a damn" period. Hence the gain. One person has mentioned it. One! Look, I got so desperate I flat out asked my sister if she could tell. Her answer was insightful. She said "yes, but we were supposed to do it together and I haven't so I guess I felt too shamed to say anything". She said others don't because they fear it implies I needed to lose weight. Makes sense I guess. It doesn't bother me that people don't but it makes me think, am I crazy? I do look different, right? My clothes say I do, but not a peep from anyone so do I really look the same? Haha, we can't win in life, can we?
  6. My dog Knox goes to daycare most weeks 5 times, if it's raining I take her to my parents. Can drop off at 7 and pick up at 730 if needed. Look, it ain't cheap, but it's a place where they put her in big open spaces and she gets to romp and play all day. They have "quiet time" from 1 to 3. That means they bring them in and feed them and give them a room. It's where I board her when out of town. If financially feasible, unless I just got lucky, I can't recommend it enough. And oh how her butt shakes and tail wags when we arrive every morning. She LOVES it. See the story above, I drop some cash, but it's worth it for me and a tad selfish. I have a dog (mutt-definite pit bull there, not sure but true Heinz 57) that if I crated her it would be, in my opinion, cruel. She craves and needs to exert energy daily. Plus I would have hell to pay. I would personally go to a shelter and check out a dog older than 2 who seems very mellow and chill if I were you. That type dog would be like "hell yes" I just get to kick it all day. But if a Chow is a must, that is the only dog that ever started a real fight with my sweet, departed dog Scout. Scout was a lover, not a fighter so just want to echo that breed craves and wants obedience. Good luck!
  7. I'm yet to find that whole new world. My mom made a pork chop and rice dish which I think had rice, cream of something, hell maybe a Liptons packet? The rice was divine, I loved the crunchier parts, haha. But the chops? Blech!!! I have never ordered a pork chop out or had one prepared well but it's likely due to my equating them to, so well said, hockey pucks.
  8. That manages it to make it more pathetic! Either own it or don't mention it, but a celebration? Hahahahahaha!Regarding my Schwartz love. I will own it, I will, but I also hit the Pinot pretty hard last night (brutal day at work + VR=game on) so maybe that helped. I just enjoyed the hell out of that episode and others fell asleep. I'm scared to rewatch it, haha! But I dig him. I think he's funny and cool. He'd never date me, I'm Jax age, but from this couch view, yeah, I'd bang him ;) Edited to remove a double post. If this is wonky, my phone hates this site sometimes, I'm sorry.
  9. I'm tellin ya, that's the only way it will be made from here on out! Thank you!
  10. Man, I just got all my thoughts out in a post and my phone fucked up. I'm as lazy as Schwartz on an after binge high so not doing it again. Here is the condensed version: I bought, hook line and sinker, the FI Tom and Kristen apt showdown. Bravo or not, that conversation felt real. I have a hard core crush on Schwartz. I know, don't exile me. I love him. When he said he was mimicking hand motions on the phone, I wanted him under me. Princeton grad looks older to me (and I'm 35-to me she kinda looks my age). Yet as I watched I felt I was to feel she was 20s. Anyone know? At Stassi's house they had ordered Dominos! Wonder if they used a coupon to get those parmesan bites. Sorry if this has all been said and I missed it. Steve Jobs giving me a fit today.
  11. Bacon! Genius! Now I want to make Tomato Pie! So I assume you cook bacon it, crumble and do you add to mayo or is it in the layers of tomato? And sautéed onion sounds divine as well.
  12. Such great stories. What enjoyable reads! We had a supper club when I was out of college/best time of life era. It involved anywhere from 3 to 6 girls. Well one didn't have experience cooking, but really got an A for effort. There is a dish called Tomato Pie that is so good in the summer! Pastry, tomatoes, fresh basil, mayo, cheese and some seasoning. Heather went to the farmers market and got gorgeous tomatoes as she was making us Tomato Pie. Well, she got a Graham cracker crust. It was bad as this is definitely a savory dish. I get it though bc she was probably in baking aisle and saw it and thought "yes". She also brought one of those velveeta, sausage, Rotel type things to a Super Bowl party I had. Well, for reasons unknown she got maple sausage and result tasted like syrup with stuff the good Lord didn't intend (sausage excluded). It was revolting.
  13. This show is so fucking good. I wasted precious hours of my life marathoning it yesterday and have no regrets. The intro is best ever. It's maybe the only intro I wish was longer! I do miss the petals. Stassi, Jax, and I use the same sound for text messages. I'm somehow ok with that. I think why this show works for me is there is no Screech. I tolerate everyone. I wish these asshats would adhere to "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". Not even a new location to the rinse and repeat did he or didn't he cheat saga! Pray tell, why would one remove shoes at a club? Motorboating a clothed dick seems more probable to me. I really love seeing baby Gordo (I think that's his name) show up in scenes. The pup seems to be loved and taken care of. That brings me immense joy. Apologies if it wasn't this episode, they all run together, but at the lunch where Schwartz ordered a chicken melt, hold the mayo, Jax was eating french fries at Mach five speed while ripping into Katie. He even got in quick dips of ketchup while implying she is a whore and liar. I'm all caught up so you know exactly what the fuck I will be doing tomorrow night. Fuck yes, watching this! (That's my tribute to Katie and her f bomb drops in her talking heads).
  14. Umm if you define not bad as bad ass! Wow! That is awesome! What an inspiration and you must feel so empowered. Good for you and keep on keepin on :)
  15. Reese ran it in 38.45 and Avery in 34.10! I talked to my sister a bit today after the race and got a bit more knowledge. Girls on the Run also has talks where they share things like "don't be afraid if you stink when you shoot a basketball. Do it with everything you have and be proud. Kick that soccer ball as hard as you've kicked it". Man, what great advice. I was probably 32 when I got real, honest ok-ness with myself so to have that told to you as a kid not from mom and dad only ...priceless.
  16. Thank you for your kind response. That was nice to read. As much as I hated "quitting" it was so apparent that I was not the best person to do this. I recommend Girls on the Run to anyone who has daughters, nieces, etc. Both girls are so excited to run and I've noticed an increase in Reese' confidence. I want to grab her by the shoulders and look her in the eyes and say "Never lose that. No matter what. The world is cruel but hold on to it". Of course she would go "Aunt Knoxforpres, you are weird. I'm going to go jump on the trampoline" haha. But it really has given the girl a boost of confidence that is so awesome to see.
  17. Overdue update. When I was 22 I shattered my ankle (compound fracture). Well, as I've been "training" for this 5k I couldn't help but notice my right ankle ached and hurt and hurt some more. About 2 or 3 weeks ago I realized in this time span it was not relistic for me. Plus, Reese had been training and was completing in 40 mins. It didn't seem fair that her aunt should be a hindrance instead of a motivator So I had a serious conversation with my sister and her best friend is running it with Reese. This girl could run a 5k in her sleep, is a wonderful mother and kind and will motivate. On a personal note, I've kept up my Firm DVD workouts. I do them 5 to 6 times a week. It's odd as they are rather intense but don't hurt my ankle. I think I alter my gait to adjust to the pain when running and that didn't help matters I want to say a sincere thank you to all of you who were encouraging and offered advice, sites, ideas etc that were so helpful. As I said before, lots more read than post so who kmows how many people you helped who are hitting the road running. Such a great group of people. Thanks again.
  18. The meximelt fanatic in me is giving you a virtual high five. And that new Doritos cheesy crunchy Gordita (or whatever, lol). Oh my lands. I've never been big on burgers or fries. This has made Taco Bell my go to when I get fast food. So much love for so many items.
  19. Potatoradio, what do you like to order at Einstein Bros? We got one here several months ago and I went and was very meh on it. I think I ordered a bagel and cream cheese (Asiago and reg cream cheese). I haven't been back, but would like to know if you have a favorite and I will try it. I hadn't had KFC in likely over a decade. Marketing got my friend at work and she had to have a 5 dollar box. Well, being a good friend, I went for moral support. I don't know if we went on best ever KFC day, but there was a bit of high calorie ectasy going on at my desk. I got 3 chicken tenders (hot, delish), Mac and cheese (enjoyable in the low budget way a Totinos pizza is) a medium Coke, a biscuit (yum) and a damn chocolate chip cookie (believe it or not, it too was good) for five dollars! Suffice to say that's all I ate that day but it was worth it. We are both scared to go back because we're convinced that was a one time lotto win :)
  20. Mountainair if I promise to pay my way plus everyone's tip may I please l join your next girls night out? From beginning to end it made me smile. Our Sales team brought in a big lunch (Mexican-just knew it would be Thanksgiving inspired, but no) so I'm having a glass of wine and calling it.
  21. I'd agree with that and raise you I was ready for the show to end. I really did like seeing Ruth with her friends doing a dog daycare. Oh! How could I forget! When Nate and Lisa went on the camping trip; it was the hottest scene ever. When he was like "take your clothes off and I'm going to fuck you on that rock". Damn it that was so hot. I think this should would have pleased me more had I watched it real time. By marathoning, the viewer is more aware how damn annoying the characters can be. Like it would have been nice to not see Claire make the wild eye face for a week. Or David to not sulk. Or Ruth to not annoy. I think the week would have allowed more enjoyment than "more of the same" I often felt.
  22. Bastet it sounds fun. A motorhome is sort of like a dollhouse to me. Been intrigued and mesmerized as hell with both since a little kid, never had either. If your family feels the same way about traditional Thankshoving (I left that phone spelling just for you) then I'd say screw it and get whatever you guys really like. But if you don't, please make yourself a little batch of that conserve. I mean that. So I'm now giving a recipe sure to elicit yells of panic of preservatives. But...people love this. My thin and in shape (what is my sisters FIL to me? Nothing? A guy?) could eat an entire 9x13. Growing up in my church it was called Strawberry Pretzel Crust. But I've done lots of research and testing on this one and the best is on allrecipes.com . "Judy's Strawbery Pretzel Salad". It's pretzels, butter, sugar base. Sweet cream cheese layer. Jello/strawberries on top. Look, I laughed a bit just typing that. But trust me, it's a fan favorite.
  23. About...maybe 10 years ago I made Williams Sonoma Sausage, cornbread, and chestnut dressing. (I don't use the chestnuts). It's delicious . I'd classify it as "normal" but really damn good. I'm experimental in cooking but each year, especially my mom, will request the same dressing be made. I make my own cornbread from cornmeal night before and buy Pepperodge Farm country white bread. In case anyone wants to give it a go. I'd call it easy. Oh! Another thing I've done a few times is used breakfast sausage instead of Italian (Williams Sonoma just screamed in terror) and I gotta say, it's damn good. One hot, one reg. Eta: Fresh herbs a necessity. Don't bother making it without that. For sure, that's what drives it from meh to wowza.
  24. Just wanted to say what wonderful meals you prepared! It sounds like a lot of fun to live in your house.
  25. You just nailed it. Nice work! Is there a plot? Is that why my "weekly" posts are always broad and never specific?. Not a damn thing happens in this show.
