  1. The thing is....if KC isn't going to be the black canary (& I really don't like Laurel) don't you think she'd have a gag order by TPTB if she hadn't been made some pretty serious promises or story projections??.... She must have been told that this is blue print of the story... Otherwise she wouldn't be doing interviews. Just a thought. I am now going to continue to drown my sorrows...
  2. I think this is where the UK/AUSvsNorth America culture comes into play. The reverse peace sign is a polite way (if that's possible) of flipping the bird. It's (in Oz..) basically means, "up yours"..... It like all things, can be used in humour and in frustration.....
  3. delurking to say.... That I nearly spat my coffee out when I saw the Michael Socha photos? Did anyone else pick out what he was doing to the photographer? The cast of OUAT seem to be so cool with all the publicity and interest in their show and I think Michael is kinda not....pfffttt... Going back to my coffee......
  4. delurking to agree with this comment.... I wear black all the time....I don't live in a black house.... It's creams and blues and browns. What I wear is very different to how I decorate. I think the image is quite Felicity. Understated, bright and airy, classy.... but above all functional. I'd like the couch in a different area but my sister is a tecno-queen and she just carries her lap top etc wherever the good light is.... Back to the recesses of the internet
  5. I laughed and laughed at this. My kids think I am weird - nothing new there..... Question - how is the internet your end of the world? Here in Oz, our internet is always slow so I am not really seeing any real difference between normal speed and the "internet slow" day that I've been reading about......
  6. De-lurking just to express a real sense of "GRRRR" http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/236x/63/19/2f/63192fba1703d35ee8bbc874aa96800f.jpg I really am wondering what is in people's heads. As a mother of 3 who knows that the post pregnancy body is a delightful, awe-inspiring piece of work which should be revered, I do have a problem with the way they dress Ginny. MY GOODNESS - SHE IS NOT MY GRANDMOTHER!!! (On reflection, I do realise that she is a grandmother...) I am in my early 40s and there is no way on this planet that I would ever think of wearing or dress someone as gorgeous as Ginny in this!!! Check out the shoes.... perhaps I am being overly harsh and not fashion forward but sigh, can't the costume department give her something which doesn't look like it came out of my Grandmother's closet. edited to say, perhaps it's the Aussie in me.... perhaps in eastern Canada or in Fairytale come Storeybook, the fashion is spot on....
  7. I actually wondered if they would go back and watch that scene and go, "hmmm, not quite how it actually happened" I thought her breathing and groaning was so OTT. It was obvious she hadn't gone thru a birth.... It really distracted me from the scene.... I kept thinking if your contractions are that far apart - you'd be having that baby in the wheelchair!!! But alas, real life doesn't make good TV
  8. YES!!! I am so pleased someone else feels like that.... A little bit creepy.... in my opinion. That stuff just doesn't float my boat. Thanks for the recommended stuff (Daxx in particular). Fanfic, as I discovered, is a bit like swimming in an ocean. I was great to have some place to start.....
  9. I dunno... I can't seem to get my head around the whole AU thing. I read one story whereby Hook and Ruby were siblings & Emma & Snow weren't related. It did my head in. I do like the stories that have taken canon and have re-worked it. They are pretty cool - having someone else's perspective or take on the story we've been told. I do think I freaked my kids out. Suddenly they wanted to have a whole conversation about fanfic. My wise 14 year old remarked, "you need to stay away from the M rated ones...they are just weird. Not that I have read any" Hmmm....
  10. Wow!!!! I seriously didn't know this stuff existed....how naive am I? And I didn't realise how ...um... descriptive they could be... Made my ears blush.... WOW...
  11. Hi, am another refugee (love that term by the way....) from TWOP. Had been registered there since 2002 when we were living in Maylasia - thus the handle. TWOP recaps kept me in touch with my favourite show when we didn't really have TV. Almost as good as seeing them. Lurked a lot & posted occasionally. Have enjoyed a variety of shows through out the years .... Charmed, Buffy, West Wing, and on and on but I loved the forum of OUAT & would read it often. Whilst, I can't comment on the moderators at TWOP (I did get a warning from Glark tho - couldn't work out how to use the quote bars....was ashamed for weeks), I did like the fact that there were rules & etiquette and the emphasis was on intelligent conversation & not "fan girl" craziness.....
