  1. I'm getting the feeling Drill is Samaritan from Person of Interest but instead of seeing through cameras, Drill sees through electric devices. But POI holds my interest and this doesn't, so I think this is the last episode I'll watch.
  2. Because he likes and respects women?
  3. I've become more and more averse to violence in scripted TV the last few years. Explicit sex and nudity do make me uncomfortable but violence disgusts me. What really bothers me about nudity is that it's rarely equal opportunity. For every one instance of male frontal nudity, or even full dorsal nudity, there must be 1,000 instances of female nudity. I gave up on Sens8 and Marco Polo in part because of the gratuitous female nudity with no compensating naked male bodies. Also, they're boring. I hope when DaVinci's Demons eventually returns, they've decided to go back to season 1's nearly-equal balance and not like it was in season 2. Also, enough with the New World already. The Olde World was infinitely more interesting. And if they could make Lorenzo more Magnificent, I'd really appreciate that. If that involves him being naked a lot, so be it.
  4. That movie has so many great lines. One of my favorites is in reference to Eve's gall: "She'd ask Abbott to give her Costello".
  5. Oh, that's Sting.. For a minute, I thought Kelsey Grammer had wandered on stage.
  6. I love the film American in Paris but this number is leaving me cold.
  7. Gigi is the first musical I ever heard (we had the record) and started a lifelong love of Lerner and Loewe. And alliteration.
  8. Did this guy take a valium before going on stage?
  9. I was in NYC during Fleet Week and these people are LIARS! I didn't see even ONE dancing sailor.
  10. What was Christian Borle mouthing as he left? Was that an F bomb? Also, why did I think his name was pronounced Borely?
  11. I used to have a pair of Rockport flats just like them.
  12. Thanks, ebk57. I remember When Things Were Rotten (not just things, but also kings were rotten) and the costumes looked medievally to me. But now that you mention it, they are much more Elizabethany.
  13. Something Rotten is derived from the Mel Brooks' sitcom of old, yes?
  14. Someone get Kristen a safety pin so she doesn't have to keep holding her skirt closed.
  15. Damn, Alan. I never thought I'd ever see anyone with whiter legs than mine.
  16. I had to use Google to find it because the on-site Search didn't help and I didn't spot it when checking Everything Else TV forum, which is where I expected to see it. Anyway, it has years since I went to a Broadway show but I still watch this show every year because it's fun.
  17. I hope the The USA Today calls it that.
  18. Brad didn't even speak for the first half of the show. I second the hate of Living Scenery.
  19. Yes. The guy with the greener lawn stops because he realizes he's just rubbing it in how much greener his lawn is than his neighbor's on the other side of the fence/hedge.
  20. Gord Oftherings is the Lord of the Rings with mandatory Canadian content to air on CBC.
  21. Sex and relationships are taboo topics? For comedians? For anyone anymore? (Thanks, Internet). Whoever wrote that is living in 1950.
  22. Gah! I was so close on FJ! At first, I was stuck on something with stars. One of the studios used "more stars than there are in heaven" and Wilde had a line like "we're all living in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars." And just as time ran out, I got it. Still annoyed at missing the Colin Firth category. Granted, no as much now that I know he didn't read the answers. But still!
  23. Bumping this up. Maybe a place to start for a group request to TDS?
  24. I knew the banana would make an appearance. 8-) I'd nominate the election night coverage with Jon & Stephen sharing a slice of pizza. And "roll 212."
  25. There was a Colin Firth category? Of all the nights to go out to dinner and forget to set the DVR! Did he read any of the answers?
