  1. Unfortunately, Continue Watching and Watchlist are 2 different things. It's just maddening because I edited the Continue Watching list once and now can't do it. I have found out how to delete things from my watch history but things I deleted are still in Continue Viewing. I've created a new profile just so I don't have to run through 50 things to get to what I actually do want to continue watching. So fucking frustrating.
  2. In the past, Edit appeared over the last Continue Watching item on screen. If you clicked it, a small box would appear in the upper right corner of each item so you could delete it. I did this a couple of months ago but now the edit box has disappeared.
  3. This is a question for anyone else with Amazon Prime Video. Can you see an edit button over the videos in the Continue Watching section of your Prime Video home page? It used to be there, I swear. I followed the same directions I used last time and it isn't there. Not on my PC, not on the TV, not on the Kindle. I've checked for updates, I've logged in and out, I spent about 40 minutes on chat with Amazon customer service last night and they couldn't solve it.
  4. "You entitled to your opinion. It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating"
  5. I miss birds so much. I had to take down my feeders because I saw a rat. And was also sick of hearing my neighbor grumbling about bird droppings. My favorite part was when, for the millionth time, he said "but you were here first so I can't say anything." And yet you do. Over and over.
  6. I agree they freaked out and changed the initial idea. I disagree that the island was purgatory. I think the flash sideways world was purgatory or limbo. The island was real and what happened there, happened there. Ben, Hurley, and the characters who left on the plane went on to live their lives and eventually went to purgatory/limbo where they joined the ones who died earlier on the island. Time isn't linear in the other place so Kate, for example, didn't die before Jack.
  7. I so want to make a tasteless joke about ghost dad but I just can't. The episodes with him and Leslie Nielsen as his best friend are among my favorites. Buck going out to get Bob and bring him home just makes me tear up. The lines from the journal are perfect. "Ten years ago I would never have walked into something like this. A bear trap so poorly camouflaged a child would have seen it but I didn't. I pried it open and got my leg out but there was no way I could make it back. I was prepared to die out here. And to be honest, I felt I deserved it. A man gets too old for a job he should know it, and stop. But then Buck found me. I don't know how. No one knew where I was going but he found me and carried me back. Three days over terrain a mule couldn't navigate. Laughing his ass off the entire way. Riding like that, completely helpless, slung over Buck's shoulder and staring down his back I came to understand two things. One, at a certain point in life a man's hips spread and there's nothing you can do about it and two, there's a very easy way to define friendship. A friend is someone who won't stop until he finds you and brings you home."
  8. Missing pieces. I ordered a console table (there are never enough flat surfaces...) and the dowels were in the hardware packet when I checked everything last night, I'm sure of it. But can I find them this morning? No. I've looked everywhere they could be and several they couldn't. I finally filled out the request form to get replacements from the manufacturer. I can't do anything until they arrive.
  9. 1 pair of sneakers by the front door for general going about (regular shoes, boots, sandals also there). 1 pair of sneakers by the side door for gardening and taking out garbage. 1 pair in the cat's room for attending to the litter boxes. Inside, sometimes socks but mostly nekkid feet.
  10. I'm not deliberately not watching but the video I was trying to watch J! on kept skipping so I gave up.
  11. He's done a series of Crash Courses, hence the category name. I used the one on Navigating Digital Information in a undergraduate course along with Check Please from Mike Caufield.
  12. I wasn't allowed to watch Lassie because I got too upset when she was in danger or injured. The hell with Timmy and the well.
  13. One of the best things about living in New Haven is the fantastic pizza. Easily the best of anywhere I've lived.
  14. I'm counting the minutes until I qualify for a full pension. 10 months, 1 week. As soon as possible after that, I'm gone. It isn't that I hate my job--it's a good job, a good salary, a good place to work--but I'm so tired of the unending angst over the budget, enrollment, legislature, governor, the newest buzz words that are really the same idea with a different name, etc. I do worry about supporting my cat on a reduced income.
  15. Why is it that no one who makes videos about drawing faces EVER shows how to do the head tipping toward the viewer? You want to know how to do chins, you're covered. But try to find one that shows face in profile with top of head? You're fucked. I can't get it right and it's driving me crazy. Even the movable Loomis and Planar heads don't really help because they don't show things like what the nose should look like or how to do the hairline as it comes around the head. And looking for Google images is hopeless. I have no problem changing proportions on any other angle, just this one. So my pet peeve is my inability to get it right.
  16. There was an HGTV shows, back in the distant mists of time, in which the host got a concept from a home-owner--"I want it to look like this"--and then did the room as close to the concept as possible on $500. I would also like to see something like that again.
  17. I got it regardless of the possible misreading. "Soaking" was enough.
  18. Jerry Lawler had a few ads for King of the Ring pay per views. This is my favorite:
  19. You can plan for 5 series and be cancelled before the 4th, like Dark Matter. Fucking SyFy.
  20. Waiting for AAA to get here. It's not the waiting so much as watching the icon be about 10 minutes away and then suddenly it's like halfway to Hartford. WTF? The app has also said eta 8:31 since about 7:31, and laptop map has said 20 no 18 no 20 no 19 minutes for the last half hour.
  21. There was a running joke on Dr. Who about the character Harriet Jones who was played by Penelope Wilton. Every time she was introduced she'd announce herself as whatever government office she held, holding up her ID. And everyone would respond "I know who you are." The last one was: Holding up her ID: "Harriet Jones, former Prime Minister" Daleks: "We know who you are."
  22. Girl Cat seemed to adjust pretty easily when Grumpy Old Man cat left us. He was ill for some time before so I figure she knew what was up. She seems content as an only child.
  23. Thank you for this. That whole series I felt so alone in not liking Liam .
