  1. Actually both he and Heather addressed the issue of her past experience on their first day together and while they both agreed that ballroom and latin partner dancing would stretch her beyond her previous knowledge, Maks said openly that he expected and understood that the judges would demand a higher level from them as a couple.
  2. Never enough Maks for me! That Peta Murgatroyd's a lucky, lucky girl...
  3. This is exactly what I thought all three times she's done it.
  4. I don't think many people recognised the significance of the sepia coloured costuming = black & white/ pre coloured films. I do think the cut and fit of Ginger' costume and those shoes could have been much more flattering though...even if she was supposed to be a hard nosed girl reporter!
  5. Exactly! I've been saying this for years, but I think the ABC producers are trying to capitalise on the popularity of SYTYCD and the resulting influx of troupe members/pros, some of whom aren't even properly trained in ballroom... (I'm looking at you Allison Holker!)
  6. There are reports that Alan Salazar choreographed Mark's freestyle last night, so...
  7. I get that Paige is a very good dancer, but I felt like she came in knowing how to dance in Week 1 and has not really changed much since. Her freestyle felt to me like a Dancemom redux- well done, but with her background and with what Mark has done with her this season, I did expect more... sorry.
  8. I'll be the voice crying in the wilderness... I really liked Ginger and Val's freestyle. It was cute and fun and I like Broadway as a style. No she won't win, but I love her drive and her personality and her dancing too!
  9. It's a pity that when judges try to hold true to the demands of the dance styles assigned to the couples that some viewers see their efforts as mean and that those who have long held Maks in disdain, would take this opportunity to malign his credentials and credibility further. Wanya, while a charming performer has posture issues which had until this dance, gone unremarked, and uncorrected. Long before Len and Maks mentioned it, I, as would anyone with even a basic knowledge of ballroom, despite touching performances, had noted the same lack of content in Antonio's, Kim's and Paige's dances, as well as Doug's Viennese Waltz last week. These made the ones which did have a comparatively high amount of content seem all that much better, even when they were only competently performed, like Doug's Tango or Ginger's salsa this week. And when they combined the two, as in the case of Nyle and Jodie, it was brilliant!
  10. Seriously? She was a 4 year old professional dancer? Kellie Pickler with her cheerleading and dance team had way more experience! Not to mention this season's Paige who actually danced competitively until she was 12 and took up cheerleading after!
  11. Word is that Tamar has been rushed to the ER and is suffering from pneumonia! She'll most likely miss the show and be disqualified! I'm so bummed but I hope she's better soon.
  12. Rumer just got a great DWTS career boost! Boosted all the way to BROADWAY as Roxie in Chicago!!!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3164309/Rumer-Willis-cast-Roxie-Hart-makes-Broadway-debut-Chicago-eight-week-run.html
  13. Nope... I think you have something there. Those Chmerkovskiy boys are like an ad for hot Ukrainian men!
  14. Just wondering why Rumer is classified as a ringer? She acts, sings and performs very minimal choreography [poorly conceived and executed] in her cabaret show tribute to Baz Luhrmann, but has as far as I am aware no real dance training, especially in ballroom.
