  1. So the Whoopi we saw today is the Whoopi that could of elevated The View to a new level. She has a lot of celebrity access and her interview with Steven Spielberg proved that. When Rosie came back for the second time, and Whoopi had the tribute with Billy Crystal to Robin Williams I saw a new side to her that she could bring. But the anger, bitter, nasty Whoopi that we got for the past decade on The View doesn't work for me. And I wonder if honestly she is putting in more effort with these kind of interviews to prove her value during the negotiation time to get herself a new contract.
  2. I live in NYC and walked by Pierre Lotti where the therapist had the dinner dates. https://www.instagram.com/p/BCW6JZXrdm0/?taken-by=nycorgohome
  3. The Daily Mail has a very interesting article "Whoopi Goldberg is secretly embroiled in a power play with Joy Behar" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3449374/I-m-outta-b-h-August-Whoopi-Goldberg-secretly-embroiled-power-play-Joy-Behar-given-million-dollar-raise-2-5m-calling-dibs-moderator-s-seat.html Please I hope this is true. I can't wait for Whoopi to be gone!
  4. To me Paula is the conservative the show needs. She isn't afraid to speak up to Whoopi or the others, and she doesn't have to follow the Republican talking points. Nicole was conservative but she always cow towed to Whoopi, and even admitted backstage they always stayed by each other.
  5. The View at the end of last month was becoming uncomfortably awkward between the cohosts, but it made it interesting because you could see everyones true colors coming out. The reports of Whoopi's impending departure is music to my ears. I think Walters and Geddie were crazy to give her a five year deal which is up this year. Reportedly Walters cannot stand Whoopi at this point even though she sold her stake in the program. Whoopi attacks on Paula are unconscionable. The you need better time management lecture to Paula was ridiculous. Really Whoopi? You had a teenage daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock but you want to give advice. Paula works three jobs and has three kids! Those who throw stones.... And what shocks me the most is Whoopi has a "pay or play" clause in her contract that they have to keep paying her even if she doesn't finish out the year on the show. Pretty shocking $5million a year whether you work or not...No wonder her attitude is so horrible. I'm counting on a Whoopi and Paula fight aka Rosie versus Elizabeth before the end of the season....
  6. Whoopi is smart. She lives in New Jersey where medical marijuana is legal. She has said on the show its because of her glaucoma. But I call total BS on this and say its totally for recreational use. But if the producers ever said anything she could claim the medical card.
  7. Whoopi starts the Hot Topic "Millennial Feminists.."..and starts laughing. "What are Millennial Feminists?" Well I am glad we have a moderator for the show who doesn't even know what the subject she is presenting is. I am so glad the producers moved the Hot Topics meeting earlier to prevent Whoopi from picking them. But clearly she is going to be nasty because of it. I hope the rumors are true and she is gone by December. Her exit is the only thing that can truly save the show in my opinion.
  8. No comeback...I am glad to know if you have the money for something then it must be okay with God. Gays can get married and adopt children, women can have their own reproductive rights...but wait what if you are poor..I guess God doesn't want you to do it then. HIV is a disease that could have been greatly reduced if not for the ignorance and fear of our country. President Reagan refused to acknowledge the disease. New York city was the ground zero for HIV in the US, but the then gay closeted mayor of the time Ed Koch refused to acknowledge it. It was far easier to acknowledge HIV as a disease deserving to gays and drugs users rather than combat the disease. Danny admitted his drug use and unfortunately this is a huge problem in the gay community. Candace comments were honest, but insensitive. Unfortunately, this has been the case with HIV since it started in this country. The View can be watched on Hulu with a paid subscription, or on the ABC app if you have a qualifying cable provider.
  9. Watching "The Talk" now and Julie Chen mentioned briefly their condolences go out to the school shooting victims before going to commercial, but no conversation about guns or violence. This is why "The Talk" will never have the impact of "The View". Hot Topics should be relevant and whats in the news. I think Candace brought up a good point about the personal accountability in the interview with Danny. However, as someone that has taken a college course on HIV she wasn't informed on the disease. When Danny said things like he undetectable, you need someone familiar with HIV or an advocate that's educated to have a proper discussion.I find it ironic though that the same conservatives will pay $50,000 for IVF treatments, but if they weren't meant to have a baby isn't this gods will as well?
