I can't say for sure if Erika knew the full story around Tom's hijinks, but she definitely was aware that he was defaulting on loans. Knowing this she is spending, and spending, and spending and bragging about her XXpensive self. She thought she was titanium.
This from the Season 9 Reunion:
Erika’s happy to talk about Lisa Vanderpump all day, but when it comes to Tom [Girardi] defaulting on a $15 million loan, she doesn’t say a word,” Andy said.
“How ’bout this,” Erika shot back. “Resolved, and they apologized.”
She certainly is complicit in his shady dealings, in that she is using the show to cover up for Tom. She's laying the foundation for his defense every week. Just digging herself in this mess deeper and deeper and she must be held accountable for that. The divorce is a sham, no question about that. She is a liar. Period.
I can't even begin to comment on her Twitter and Instagram posts. She is just unbelievable.
The reunion will be interesting. Maybe she'll cry her way through, with Rinna and Kyle petting her.
Maybe she'll put on her smug face and say "Resolved, and the widows and orphans have apologized!"

Hoping that Garcelle is the one to question why "the others" were so very concerned about a sex scandal but not questioning a very serious situation about ethics and real victims. It just puts last season in perspective. I want her to ask the real question:
Who the fuck cares if Denise and Brandi had a thing when Erika is so deeply involved in real shit. If this had been Denise or LVP they would have been clutching pearls galore.

From what I see on Reddit and Twitter, many fans will stop watching because Erika is getting a pass when the Fox Force Five made an entire season being shocked about the Denise/Brandi BS situation. If this isn't about choosing your battles I don't know what is.

Therein lays the problem with Erika. Her social media displays are a big F.U. to not only the victims and their families, but to those who feel sympathy for them. Either she has her head in the sand with her fingers stuck in her ears (I can't hear you) and her hands covered over her eyes just like a 2 year old who thinks that means no one can see them, or she just doesn't give a shit, maybe all of the above.
I think the strategy with the dementia claim is so that Tom doesn't have to deal with the consequences of his actions, which clearly are going to be extremely serious.
It was a really poor decision for Erika to return to the show and further expose the situation, no matter how she spins it. Whether she had knowledge or not, people do not want to see her expensive wardrobe, her angry how dare you face, and laughing it up on vacation with the girls.
If she really needed the gig for the money, perhaps she should have played it down a bit, humbled herself, if not just for her own reputation, but for her son.
I doubt that she will be doing the Cell Block Tango, but her life will never be the fab one that she has enjoyed thus far with Tom bankrolling her $40K a month glam squad, designer clothes, Broadway appearances....
Every penny she spends will be scrutinized from here on in. She won't be doing herself any favours if she continues to flaunt herself. Based on her instagram, I don't think she has the self awareness to realize this because:

I loved Bethenny at the very beginning when she was selling her cupcakes, and was really rooting for her. When she returned after her talk show was cancelled she just morphed into some sort of egotistical beast.
