Bruh this is like the Kidz Bop version of "Big Bang Theory". Just saying "smart" things in the cadence of a joke doesn't makes them funny or smart.

I felt this especially in the first episode when she was big footing Owen about who takes charge of a scene depending on what type of call it was. It felt too forced.

This show is coming along. I hope if this show takes root like the original we get episodes that focus on the individual characters. I feel at the very least we will get Rob Lowe's character backstory given that it would include WTC and 9-11 a lament psalm in which David is trying to work through a problem in his life with the Lord's help. That problem – as it turns out – is his son Absalom entering into Jerusalem to kill his own father according to google

They weakly addressed that with the whole 9-11 thing. That he had to rebuild his firehouse. That said why not get more woke points and have cast an Asian chief. (Daniel Dae Kim or B.D. Wong) types.
