My hubby just went on insulin last week. He’s been battling it for years and felt like you do. He was on Victoza and Metformin and they made him sick. Doc said stop all meds, and his blood sugar soared to and stayed at over 500. Advocate for your health. Ask for a referral to an endocrinologist. You are the only one who can change your life. Hugs.

I’m 49. Have had a ton of injuries falling off horses, working, etc. I recently dislocated my shoulder. It popped back in after a week like a champ. No one, including me, thinks I am so precious that I need to be carried around or warned about “possible arthritis”. In the real world, we carry on because we are not precious and need to live our lives.

Or possibly for education. Lol!

Deavan is growing on me. I think she’s had to grow up fast, babies notwithstanding. She’s a fighter. She said she got her teeth fixed, I don’t remember if they were bad at first.

Haha number 4. His robust “GOOD BOYYYYY” to the kitty cracked me up. My 2 female kitties would have been like “screw you stupid human, we are not dogs and you DO NOT talk to us or treat us as if we are dogs” and they would either have fled or I would have needed stitches. 😜I don’t think I could ever even put a harness on either of them. This episode was literally on yesterday. 💜

The owner of the business where I work won’t make masks mandatory for customers. Employees, yes. Knowing the people in our wealthy community, they’d revolt. (Our local Menard’s made them mandatory and the outcry, fights, and boorish behavior is at the max.) Or they’d stop in just to get a free mask because we would then need to provide them, and that costs. Heaven forbid we would let customers help themselves to a mask, they’d take handfuls. Plus they’re not really sanitary if people are pawing a box of masks like a box of Kleenex. Oy vey the traffic today. Incredible. Im sitting outside right now, in Wisconsin, and it’s so humid you could chew the air. And I have a sore throat and sniffles, hoping it’s allergies or being inside in (weak) air conditioning all day. Blah. Hope you all are well! Stay safe.

So I thought cheese sticks girlfriend was named “Mae Lisa” until I figured out it was his pronunciation of Melissa with an accent. He seems like an idiot. I don’t get why she can’t move to the USA and he must move there because he cheated. Maybe that’s the only way they could get on the show. Deavan’s mom was all kinds of wrong with her f words and dramatic reactions to all things Korea. No wonder Deavan wants to move. But dang, Jihoon couldn’t even be bothered to pack till the last second. He will never leave his parents. I don’t get the hate Deavan has for his parents.

When I was a kid (I’m 49), had I stolen a snack, licked cheese off of it, and HIDDEN IT IN MY PARENTS BED I would have been able to sit for a week. I had clear boundaries.

I’m so discouraged. Watching our local news daily, all the anchors, weather people, etc talk about urging people to go for walks in the park, go to the cabin, get your boat out! Yes, the Minneapolis suburbs are generally wealthy and lots of people have boats and cabins. But is it the safe thing to do? No. But hey, if the local news is encouraging, do it! Ugh. Reading the news is the same thing. Festival here, concert there, boating and kids’ wrestling tournaments and so much summer fun out and about since no one has to be at work. A local campground just had a big get-together to watch Garth Brooks on a movie screen. People were like ants. There’s a car race track 4 miles from my home, they have huge 4th of July races planned and are sold out to include standing room only. Then I see states with increases. But it’s all “nothing” here. Being urged to get out of the house and have fun just really gets me down. I’m sure it’s no small part that at my work, it’s still crazy busy. No one wears masks. We workers put on masks, but when the store is empty or we have a big shipment, they come off. Will this ever end? Us store workers are numb to it by now. Awful but true. We have to stock our shelves, and we have no choice.

I wear my mask, cloth, at work. It’s cotton tee shirt material. It’s hot at my work and I’m a sweater (thanks menopause) so my mask is grossly damp. I took it off after work, drove to the grocery store and put it on again. Phew!!!! If my breath really smells as bad as my mask did, I need the doctor. I literally gagged. Hows that for TMI?

You know, when I was young and skinny and thought I was fat, I used to run. What kept me going was the thought of the giant bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups I had at home. “One more mile and I’m home! Peanut Butter Cups are waiting for me!”I’d run, recover, and eat those things. I bet Janelle is the same.
