  1. They're a class based gym, though, not one where you just go and do your own thing and could also take classes. So I think that may be the reason for the hours being more limited than some other places, because everyone who is going is going for a set class rather than just the gym being open and people stopping buy to hit a treadmill or do their arms day on weights on the way to or from work.
  2. Keith leases a TON of quota. One of the things that I wish the show would do is give us an accurate representation of costs and time. They tell us that the deckhands make x, but I am more interested in knowing how much the whole thing costs. Like they caught x lbs, which was valued at y, there were z in operating expenses, which resulted in this much profit and it gets split this way. Even if they did it just once in a while, because it's a bit misleading when you have a boat that has a ton of leased quota vs one that is fishing all of their own. The one that is fishing their own quota could make more money on a smaller amount of crab. Plus with the way they are showing things this season we have no concept of what happened when in the timeline. We'll see one boat for 2 episodes and then nothing of any other boats. Bill wasn't on for a few weeks, then one day he popped up. I'm sure he was out there fishing at least part of the time the others were, but it makes it hard to judge how long everyone was actually out there when they air things this way.
  3. This is kind of where I am with Tamra. I totally get what people are saying when they say that she is horrible, I absolutely see it. At the same time, though, I . . . don't really hate her. I don't like everything she does and I can't say I'd want to be her friend, but Tamra is pretty consistent. You know how she's going to act, you know what you will get. I'd probably enjoy her if she was in my larger circle, but wouldn't want her as a super close friend. I like that she's just who she is, if she's wearing cheaper shoes, she's like, hey, these are shoes you can get at TJMaxx. Then she might say well, these earrings are from Chanel. She's good with all of it. When Tamra and Simon started on the show, he was working for a major dealership in the area. After the first season she was on, they weren't amused and they let him go. He then decided to go into a tequila business, and the naked wasted dinner was supposed to be a tasting meal to either try some product that they were considering for the line or to launch and introduce the line, I forget which. Either way, the fact that it was for Simon's new business got lost in the naked wasted shuffle and I'm pretty sure he works for that dealership now. I think that's a period when a lot of people were having issues with their mortgages, wasn't it? I have no idea what the actual story is, but I would venture to guess that it is entirely possible that Eddie ended up being one of the people that did the HARP (is that the name of it?) thing with his mortgage and got back on track. I know that the whole financial collapse did a number on the real estate industry and people ended up severely underwater, especially if they had done piggyback loans or had an ARM. So I could see if that was the case for Eddie. I don't know why Shannon keeps telling everyone that her twins were conceived after a Def Leppard concert. I'd be less than thrilled with her doing that if I were one of her kids, although I imagine it's one of the smaller gripes they have with her, given the way she played out the cheating/divorce thing. They are a band from the 80s, but they are still touring. Look at Bret Michaels, there's a market for them. Porsha was less tainted by it because she was told the information from Phaedra. She was acting on something she believed to be true (now, she should have tried to verify it or talked to Kandi about it or something, rather than just assuming Phaedra was right), but, she didn't just randomly make the shit up. Phaedra KNEW it wasn't true, she just made the shit up to start some shit. That's the reason she was the one who went down for it, she flat out lied to Porsha, and then left Porsha hanging out in the breeze when the time came to back her up when Porsha was confronted about the situation.
  4. I found this really strange. On other seasons they have invoked the "I'm your superior" thing and told the offending person what to do. So I was really surprised that Joao and Hannah didn't basically step in and force Travis back to the boat and into his room until they had a chance to talk to Sandy about the issue. That's what I would have done, were I in their shoes. It's particularly egregious to me given that he hit her in the face with the seat of the van when they were headed out for the evening. Hannah and Aesha both were making a big deal (rightly so), about it. Travis blew it off, Jack just kept trying to ask if they could be on a double date. Hannah kept trying to get him to apologize for hitting Aesha in the face, which resulted in Travis saying "I don't see any bruising, so it's fine" And yet Aesha then says that if she was the person who was slapped no one would make this fuss? Fuck right off. Perhaps use the juice to address the fire? I'm really weird about telling time. I can look at the clock or my watch and I KNOW what time it is, but I can't translate it into words right away, I have to think about it sometimes. It drives my husband nuts. He'll ask what time it is and I'm fairly likely to just hold out my arm so he can read my watch. If I do answer, sometimes it's an awkward phrasing, like "ten past two thirty" instead of 2:40. I don't know why, but it's like there's a weird block there. LOL! I'm part of the generation that couldn't do math without a calculator. I used to get asked what I would do if I didn't have a calculator and did I think I'd always have one with me? I'd say yes, I planned to. (I always thought it was a weird question given that people had calculator watches back in the 80s) Turns out that yep, we pretty much do always have calculators with us everywhere now with our phones, so HA! I was right. I've pointed this out to my parents several times. That's part of the job when you are a chef, though. Even if you do everything right and execute the dish perfectly, the guest just might not like it. I've had things that I've ordered at a restaurant and it turns out that I just didn't like it. The food was made properly, it was me who didn't like it. Sometimes you have preferences, where 98% of people would think it's seasoned properly and the guest you have think the food is bland. If that's the case, you need to adjust and season to their taste. I have a relative that drowns everything in salt, I swear they must go through a shaker a month. If I tasted any food that they had on their plate, I'd think I was trying to eat a salt lick. Meanwhile, I rarely salt anything once it's on my plate, so they think everything I eat is bland.
  5. I didn't think you were advocating intolerance and I'm sorry if I gave that impression. I had actually quoted your post because you had gone through a discussion about the situation and then came to a conclusion and it resolved. I was essentially just posting as a random coda on tolerance in general. I do think, though, that a policy disagreement is where it becomes exactly where you should be intolerant in order to maintain tolerance. If a person wants to sit at home and believe whatever, that people who are gay are awful, or that people who aren't white are less than or that if you aren't Catholic you aren't going to heaven or whatever the particular thing is, then whatever floats their boat. They are free to do so. If they have conversations with people, people may disagree with them and they may find themselves in some unpleasant or uncomfortable situations (like Mila and Travis, for example). That can happen with just about any position you have in life. I had a friend once whose boyfriend didn't like her to wear any polish on her fingers or any lip product, including chapstick. He "didn't approve" of them. I was like, what does that even mean? And then I was like, so, he shouldn't wear them then. She didn't feel the same way and so she refrained from using any of the products. Personally, I couldn't be with someone like that, so my relationship would have ended over chapstick. He can hate chapstick all he wants and is free to not use it all he wants. I can tolerate that about him. But telling me that I can't use it because he doesn't like it? That's not cool. We can't tolerate everything, it's just not possible. If we do, then means sitting by while some awful things happen because otherwise we're simply not tolerating that person's preferences. Instead we can take a stand against actions that infringe upon other people's freedoms/rights, based upon someone else's preferences, even if it seems like that's being intolerant.
  6. No, Shane hasn't been living in that house for a while. He's not going to be coming back to it either. Staying in the hotel for two weeks is just the latest excuse for why he isn't there. There will be another reason, but he hasn't been seen so far. Right? When she said she wanted to do a performance, I turned to my husband and was like, "Wait, what? You want to be in Cats?" I'm pretty sure she knew at the beginning that she was demoted. I can't find an exact timeline for the filming, but there is this: https://realityblurb.com/2019/02/11/photos-videos-rhoc-begin-filming-season-14-without-vicki-gunvalson-plus-has-a-new-cast-member-been-added/ They started without Vicki. Her first thing that she filmed was Tamra's housewarming party. Vicki only cares about what you do to her. If she says something about you, well, she's just saying something she HEARD. She isn't actually the person saying it, so you should go find the person who told her, she's only saying what she heard, it's not her fault she heard it! Shannon seemed really invested in Vicki coming to the meal, didn't she? I am not a Shannon fan and I think she's a shitty friend. She's being all touchy feely with Braunwyn, but she was pretty damn quick to make Braunwyn's daughter's issues all about herself. And despite all of her "I am so happy that we're friends!" and the we're two peas in a pod bullshit with Braunwyn, as soon as the opportunity presented itself to throw her under the bus with Vicki, Shannon did it. Oh, she told Vicki about the meal and Vicki had the sadz? Wouldn't it make her more sad for her to know that she was now a last minute pity invite? And why not invite Emily once you knew she was out with Vicki, even though they weren't together at that point? I mean, if we're pretending we care about feelings, how does that look that you didn't even try to reach her? Tamra is the one who dropped the train bomb, this is true. But, I still lay the blame for it all at Vicki's feet, to be honest. No one was talking shit about Kelly until Vicki arrived. Vicki is the one who started trashing Kelly, everyone was trying to explain that Vicki basically gives as good as she gets. Tamra said that she saw both sides, that they both dropped bombs on each other. Then Vicki goes in with the "She should leave me alone because she knows that I know more than I'm saying!" and she just waits for people to say something. Then we have the camera flashing from person to person like "Did YOU steal the cookies?!?" At which point Tamra is like, just say it if you're going to do this stuff, and Vicki keeps up her game. I honestly took it more like Tamra was trying just cut the thing off at the knees, because Vicki was all "I know what you did last summer!" and would try to hang it over Kelly's head. If Tamra just came out and said it, then there's no mystery, and it would get dropped. But then Vicki goes off and makes it into a giant fuss. I do think Tamra could have found a better way to say it, without it being as obvious, of course. I also find it fascinating that Shannon is the one at the root of everything here. Kelly supposedly told Shannon. Who then told Tamra and Vicki. So Kelly needs to blame Shannon for running her mouth to Tamra and Vicki, if this is actually true. Well, there was that toothless Greek guy, wasn't there?
  7. The thing is, though, if Mila doesn't think that people should be gay, then at the end of the day, Mila shouldn't be gay. Then her problem is solved. That's pretty much how tolerance works, people who are gay are off living their lives and not bothering other people. They aren't asking people for their opinions, they simply get up, go to work/school/whatever, raise their kids, come home, go to bed and do it again the next day. They don't really care what Mila thinks about them on any given day, because Mila is off living Mila's life. The problem arises when Mila decides that because she doesn't like people being gay and doesn't approve of it, she takes some sort of action that restricts their lives. That's not being tolerant. Voting for someone who will enact bans on gay marriage (or gay people), is not being tolerant of gay people. So it's not really reasonable to say that other people need to be tolerant of Mila speaking out about what she believes. When she's being outspoken about her support of someone who is brutal towards gay people, she's no longer being tolerant towards others. If she simply thinks that way and it happened to come up in conversation and she wasn't being overly strident about it? Then, whatever, I wouldn't think a lot of her, but she is free to think what she wants. But she can't claim that others are intolerant towards her in this case. There's a weird thing when it comes to tolerance. There's the paradox of tolerance, you think that everything should be tolerated without limit (and this is usually what you hear when people are accused of being bigoted "you're not tolerating my intolerance!"), but it's really not the case. When everything is tolerated, then the ability to be tolerant is ruined by the intolerant. So if you want to have a tolerant society, you actually have to reject the tolerance of intolerance in order to maintain tolerance of the good ideals.
  8. Well it was Keith's idea, he marched in there and ordered Freddie to do it like he was some sort of mob boss ordering a hit. All Keith had to do was call Casey and say hey, you broke my table it's $400 to get a new one and I'm pretty sure that he would have paid for it. He knew he broke it, I can't see him saying fuck you, it's your problem. But nope, Keith had to march in and chop shit up to defend his territory.
  9. It's kind of hard to top last season's instigating Monte leaving and then taking an ax to the table on the Cornelia Marie.
  10. Maybe she is still trying to prove that Brooks didn't just rent it for the night? That would be a no. Well, I take that back, he seemed to be pretty good with Vicki's guy, Steve. Jolie talking about the dms that she gets was heartbreaking. I would hope that Kelly would help her figure out how to turn them off, or make an account where she can just be private with her friends and not a public person. I know she's 12 and I want to say well, she's just too young to be on social media, but at the same time, if I were 12, I'd likely be fighting to be on there with all of my friends. Her getting shit for what Vicki said is squarely on Vicki. Kelly has said and done a lot of stuff, but Vicki put some shit out there in the world that she shouldn't have all because Vicki felt attacked. The same woman who went off on a table full of hos because Briana (an adult, mind you), was sitting there eating a salad while they said some stuff that was actually true about Vicki. Yet she made wild accusations about Kelly, and is like "Oh well" when it hurts Jolie. Exactly. If you claim you know people saying this, then have the conversation with Kelly, off camera. Either you are concerned because Kelly is doing drugs and it might hurt her kid OR there are people she needs to know about spreading rumors about her that could hurt her when it comes to her kid. If you're so freaking concerned for her kid, then you'd think you'd want to make sure either the rumors A) aren't true or B) are stopped. Weirdly, Shannon appeared to have never seen the dress until the moment her daughter walked out in it. It's been a while since I was a kid, but my parents typically had to see and approve that sort of thing prior to purchase. I wouldn't have been allowed out in that dress and my parents weren't particularly conservative when it came to clothing, I was able to wear shorter skirts, but not THAT short. I totally think Jolie will be able to go to her mother and talk to her about sex and birth control. Kelly is pretty much a whack job, but she does seem to try to do her best to keep having open conversations with Jolie and make sure she's considering her feelings and trying to be there for her. I don't think she always gets it right, of course, but no one does. Kelly certainly isn't the ideal parent in many ways but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Jolie is able to talk to her and she'd handle Jolie coming to her with something and addressing it, even if she didn't think it was the best time/age for it to happen. I honestly don't know that Shannon would take it that well. Her pesonality in general is pretty over-reactive and she has a tendency to turn everything into a major drama about herself. I'd also be pretty afraid that she'd try to turn it into a conversation on the show, which would be horrifying for the poor kid. I know that if I were one of Shannon's kids, I wouldn't go to her with anything, as she has spent the last several years very wrapped up in her own issues, and she flips out over things like David eating chips while she is making dinner and turns them into giant fights, so to go to her and say "I want to go on the pill" I'd be terrified of how that would go down. I'd rather just go to Planned Parenthood by myself and hide things. Way back when, I remember reading a bunch of articles and speculation that Vicki was going to be let go altogether. That she was pretty much begging to be kept, even as a "friend of" at a huge paycut and she all but guaranteed she'd get engaged in order to stay. I did a bit of digging and found these: https://www.allabouttrh.com/2019/02/17/vicki-gunvalson-starts-filming-season-14-of-rhoc-plus-kelly-dodd-calls-vicki-a-pig-hints-that-shes-only-a-friend-of-the-housewives/ https://www.lifeandstylemag.com/posts/rhoc-star-vicki-gunvalson-reportedly-gets-demoted-on-season-14/ https://realityblurb.com/2019/02/08/vicki-gunvalson-demoted-to-friend-on-rhoc-new-season-kelly-dodd-speaks-out/ All of those are dated from February and mention her being a friend of. The 2 that show an instagram pic with her holding flowers from production mention that it's from her first day of filming and it's the outfit she wore to Tamra's housewarming party. For RHOBH someone had put together a timeline of when all sorts of stuff was filmed and that was super helpful, I wish that there was something like that for all of the shows! LOL! Anyway, I think Vicki knew before the season that she wasn't going to be a fulltime ho. I also think she scrambled hard to get herself on the season at all, and she's spinning pretty hard to make it seem like it wasn't a demotion. I'm pretty sure the daughter she has issues with is Sydney. She's the oldest daughter. The room could be for either Spencer, Sophia who is about 14, I think, or possibly her granddaughter.
  11. I think Joao sucks at the way he is managing Travis and Jack all around, to be honest. Colin is getting screwed this season, because Joao knows he is reliable and he will do what he asks (and likely doesn't even need to ask, Colin just knows the stuff that needs to be done). Every time you see Colin and Joao struggling to accomplish something and then they show Jack and Travis fucking off somewhere else, it's a situation that should be addressed, but Joao waffles on it. He tries to bring some stuff up, they push back and he is like, screw it, I'll do it myself. But that puts more shit on Colin, because Colin shows up. On top of that, Colin has expressed that he's not thrilled with the conversations that they have and Joao has done nothing about it. I was simply saying (in my previous post), that even if Travis didn't care if Aesha had touched him, she still could be in trouble for creating a hostile work environment if Colin was uncomfortable with seeing the situation go down. I wasn't excluding all of the other reasons that the work environment also sucks, because Joao, while he HAS shown a lot of growth this season, really needs to step up and manage his people better. Also is it super common for there to be all of these animal related incidents in Zimbabwe? Didn't he have a story about being run down by a rhino last season? And now this season his mother was beaten with an elephant bone? I'm honestly not making fun of the situation, I'm just kind of baffled as to how common these sorts of incidents are.
  12. I think it's entirely possible, too, that Ana basically only has a few tricks and she's exhausted her bag of tricks. She was ok doing somewhat basic stuff on the first charter when she was filling in, but she doesn't have the skills or training to cook breakfast on demand the way other chefs have nor does she seem to have the diversity to come up with elevated menus and adapt to the criticism. Her portions are small, the food has amateur mistakes and she is making some pretty basic items. Caprese salads, pastas, steaks, etc aren't exactly what people would be expecting on a 5 star yacht. I also think Anastasia lacks the experience to consider basic plating. You'd finish the meat first, let it rest. Heat the plates, but make a sauce, so that when you put it over the meat and the rice, it would warm the rice and sauce back up. She just gets mad and claims there is nothing she can do, as the food got cold on the trip up to the table. She claimed the same last week with the steaks, yet they were undercooked. You can have a cold, yet well done steak. The steak being cold wouldn't change it being under or overcooked. If it was rare when they asked for medium, it wasn't because the stews took too long to get them to the table, it was because you did a poor job on the cooking. You can speak for yourself and the men that you know. You don't speak for every man everywhere. Some men would absolutely have an issue with this. Aesha's behavior could definitely create a hostile work environment. It wouldn't be a case of sexual harassment if Colin complained about it, for example, as he wasn't the target of the behavior, however, if it makes him uncomfortable it's a hostile work environment and Aesha would most definitely be in trouble for it.
  13. It was both in laws. Apparently their bdays are one day apart, so the dinner was to celebrate both of Shane's parents on the same day and Shane didn't both to show up or even call.
  14. I can't speak to the botox or fillers, but it's possible he has a thyroid issue as far as his eyebrows go. When my thyroid meds need to be adjusted, the outer third of my eyebrows start to disappear, it's usually the first sign I have that I need to have bloodwork done.
  15. As a kid, I heard the song as "Secret Asian Man" I still sometimes picture stealthy Asian spies dashing around a park, hiding behind trees when I hear it.
  16. Vicki has done that for years, though. This should have been nipped in the bud way back when it first started and if any of them decided they were going to haze the new girls, it should have been cut off and the person dealt with. Vicki has a history of this going back to Gretchen's first season. Ramona is notorious for doing it as well. Shannon pulled this shit with Megan, first blaming David's cheating, then her divorce.
  17. Shannon isn't telling us that she's having fun, though. She's telling us that she IS fun. Which apparently translates to "loud and drunk"
  18. But if there is no Bravo what will I do with all of my free time? I have no idea what I would do! I think roadie may end up being one of those terms that is somewhat regional. I'm familiar with it, but it isn't used everywhere. Much like "go cup" is used in the south, I was confused at first by the offer for a fresh refill to take with me when leaving restaurants. Tamra really hasn't had that many houses. She and Simon were in the first house that they had when she started on the show, the Ladera Ranch one. She went from there to an apartment when they divorced. Then she moved into the house that Eddie already owned when they started dating. They left this home for the one that they purchased last season and renovated. They apparently had issues with that one and have now moved to Coto. Considering that she had a divorce I don't really think it's that weird for her to have moved from the original house to the apartment or the apartment to Eddie's once they were together. I don't even think it's all that strange that she and Eddie would decide to move to a new home that they both picked out together after being married for a while. The only move that I think is "iffy" would be the last one, but things happen. I think there have been people on some of the other cities that have been in different houses for nearly every season and have pretty much no personal items in their homes, which is weirder to me. I get not wanting to have everything out, because it's tv fodder, but why are ALL of the shelves empty in EVERY house?
  19. I'll go one farther and say that I think it was to give BOTH of them a reason to be on the show this season. What is Austen's storyline without Madison? He was already the "new" guy. He lost/quit his job and was going to develop his own beer. If anyone watches Summer House, you already saw Kyle Cook get farther with his own drink than we've ever seen Austen get with his beer, and Kyle's drink was a minor part of the show. Austen's beer failing wasn't even a major storyline. We don't even know why it was too expensive to make and we didn't see him try to find other people to make it, nothing. He broke up with Chelsea, it became clear they aren't getting back together because he was a leech and she paid for everything. So now we have Austen jobless, no ambition, and no girlfriend. Oh, wait, in the offseason there's suddenly a video of him caught having a threesome by the girl he's dating? And then he's on and off with this girl all season? Still, how does that make him all that interesting to anyone else? Nah, she's got to start trouble with other people, so he has to have drama with the guys, so she fights with Shep. And now they are both on tv and have a storyline.
  20. Ryan said at the beginning of the conversation that he felt that they need to build the wall to keep people out. My thoughts are that if you are someone who is in favor of building the wall, which Trump has famously said is to keep Mexicans from coming into the country illegally, then maybe you might not want to state that in the house that is owned by your Mexican stepfather? I disagree vehemently with some beliefs that my father in law holds, but I don't discuss them with him at all, because I know it would do nothing but cause problems. I know I won't change his mind, he will never change mine, so out of respect for the fact that he is my husband's father, I don't bring it up and when my FIL starts talking about the topic, if I can find a reason to leave the room without it being obvious, I do. If not, I just keep quiet. If I were Ryan (and thank god I'm not!), I would at least keep my damn mouth shut about the wall and keeping Mexicans out if I were around Eddie, since they are subsidizing his life. Andy has said before that they will keep a ho until their story has been told. Vicki really doesn't have much of a story to be told anymore, and I think that's a large part of the reason she was demoted. The original concept of the show was a peek behind the gates of housewives and how they lived, prior to the economy crashing. Vicki's no longer married, her kids are grown and gone. She doesn't have her grandkids near her. We've done the Vicki is a business woman thing over and over. We've gone through Vicki gets divorced. We've done Vicki gets a new man. We've gone through Vicki is single. We've gone through Vicki is a cancer scammer. Vicki is a bitch to other women. Vicki gets plastic surgery. Vicki leads the gang. Vicki is on the outside of the gang. Vicki loses her parent. There's really nothing left to tell with Vicki at this point. Vicki also doesn't think the show can go on without her, of course. And I don't think Vicki can fully support herself without the money from the show either. When she and Donn first divorced, they had to both live in the house because neither one could afford it on their own. Their divorce papers were released somewhere and she does not have the money you'd think she would for the way she portrays herself, particularly given that she and Donn were a 2 income household for years. Her business wouldn't have had a ton of overhead in the earlier years being located in her house and he was a reasonably well paid executive. But their 401ks weren't really all that big and for a woman who stresses that she's a financial planner, you'd expect her to have larger assets.
  21. Personally, I thought Denise was fine at the beginning of the season, but I didn't like the way she ended the season. I don't think she had any particular reason to have an issue with LVP and I am not really sure why she has no issues with everyone planning a pile up on Camille and still being friends with them, but she can be mad at Camille for having issues with the other girls and seems to have changed her friendship with Camille based on that. It undermines her cool girl, go with the flow, friend to all, above the fray kind of personality. Outside of the show, I haven't really ever been a fan of hers. I didn't like the way she handled things with Charlie, as others have mentioned. I didn't like the way things went with Richie Sambora. She was always happy to portray herself as BFFs with Heather and Richie when they were married, but after they broke up? Oh, we weren't ever actually friends . . . I also watched her reality show and while I liked her relationship with her father, something about her just never quite sat right with me. I can't put my finger on it. And even now, she married Charlie Sheen, his issues were well known prior to their marriage. She has kids she shares with him and she talks about how she does x or y to take the high road, because she wants things to be good for them, but she has no issues taking shots at people, like dropping lines about hookers being at Thanksgiving due to their father. If you're really that concerned about it, why even put that out there? Not to mention, there's no reason they need to hear about your sex life with their new stepfather. I also don't think any particular negative thing about one wife makes LVP automatically good. I look at all of them individually, unless we're talking about something they do together, like in the case of Kyle and Teddi and their insistence that LVP set Dorit up with the article. Kyle and Teddi clearly were making a campaign about this, so yeah, in that case, I do view Kyle and Teddi together, but, my thoughts on Kyle and Teddi don't automatically affect how I view everything LVP does. LVP should never have said what she did about Erika and tucking. That was horrendous and I do not condone it at all. As for Kyle and the bums, at some point Kyle, Kim and Kathy decided it would be a good idea to film a reality tv pilot where they went out and gave makeovers to bums. They filmed themselves discussing the idea, making sandwiches to hand out, and then driving around laughing and talking about the homeless people they encountered. The pilot was on youtube up until a few months ago, but it seems to have vanished from everywhere. If you google, you'll find references, though. It's a pity no one has it saved. It was really, really offensive, but they apparently thought it was an awesome idea and left it up for a loooong time.
  22. Yeah, I mean I know what my husband's job is. He is a manager in a company that makes things (I know what said things are, obviously), and while I couldn't tell you exactly in step by step detail what to do to make each thing, or what the results of the tests to prove the quality of the things are, I've know what he's doing. I don't fully understand the details of how the machines they use work, or the tests they do on the things they make, etc, but I do not work there. But I wouldn't say "Oh, I have no idea what he does" I can explain what they make, the basic process and even troubleshoot some of the problems they have because he's done this for so long I've heard a LOT of phone calls.
  23. And she wants it to be an outdoor cat. I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion, but if you want to get a cat, then you should get a cat and keep it in your house. I totally get having a barn cat if you are in a rural area with a lot of acreage, but in a regular neighborhood with houses all around? Or in my case, an apartment complex? I don't have a cat because I'm allergic to them and so I don't particularly enjoy having your cat trying to get into my house or climbing on my patio furniture. But her son is John Ralphio. I'm concerned about the fact that his office has absolutely nothing on the walls. Or the desk. I've never gone into a dr's office and had them have any sort of diploma, certificate, nothing on the walls. I don't even think he had a pen on his desk, just a hand mirror. I think she had her nose done again. Perhaps it's all the botox that has paralyzed her digestive system and that's why she needs an enema when she eats half of a peach? I think that they are already separated and just hiding it. If he's been studying long hours for a while now, how did she not know what hours the library was open? And they made such a big deal out of the fact that the in laws lived around the corner last year, so why would he go there? Wouldn't he want to come home, spend an hour with the kids, put them to bed, then buckle back down? He does have a right to his own views, but I don't think he necessarily just calmly got up and left. He didn't start screaming, but he wasn't open to a single thing Tamra said. He also told her that Spencer basically needed to expect to be put in his place because he was wrong and he has to learn to deal with it. If Ryan is entitled to Ryan's views, Spencer is certainly also entitled to Spencer's views. Ryan clearly said that Spencer hated America. Nope, it doesn't. And not for nothing, but Ryan is saying this shit in the home of his step father who is Mexican. I have a sibling I can not stand. If I didn't speak to them again for the rest of my life, I'd be ok with it. But when we are in the same place at the same time, I am civil and cordial and have never (as an adult), threatened violence. Please never use that phrase in reference to Vicki again. I know it's my own fault for being a 12 year old at heart, but . . . please? I'm begging. But, we all expect her to try to come breaking through the wall like the Kool-Aid Man at any minute, right? I doubt Steve paid for it. So I hope Vicki picked on she likes a lot. At least she'll get to keep it, it's not like she could repo Brooks's teeth. So much this. I can see celebrating that you are in a better place, but you're not pledging a sorority. She wasn't cute or funny in the episode last night. She had her hands all over the manager of the Quiet Woman and then was waving her arms in everyone's face all night. LuLaRoe. Oddly enough, his twitter is completely empty now. Traditionally the OC is pretty conservative, it has come up in the past. Laurie at one point said she was Republican because her parents were. But, I think Trump may have been a bridge to far for some. As for Spencer and Ryan, somehow I don't think the situation was as cut and dried and Ryan seems to be portraying it. Simon doesn't strike me as the most liberal person in the world, (and again, in one of the early reunions, every single ho said they were a republican or declined to comment), so I wouldn't just assume that Spencer is blanketly liberal. Ryan didn't seem remotely receptive to even hearing what Tamra had to say about wanting to just be able to have them in the same place at the same time, and Ryan has historically always been a dick. Well, to hear Vicki tell it, no one brings her casseroles.
  24. I'm totally happy to agree to disagree, so please don't take this as me arguing. I just feel compelled to try to explain because you said you don't get my point. And, also, I want to be clear, I do not feel that LVP can do no wrong. This literally has nothing to do with LVP being right or wrong for me, the only thing it has to do with LVP for me in this case is that the dogs Denise rounded up went to VDPDs. That's where LVP begins and ends in the story for me. Denise and her husband were rescuing animals, true. They said they were helping a rescue group, my question is, which group? Where I'm coming from is that if they were working for/with a rescue group, for example, the Humane Society, then the dogs they picked up would have been taken to the Humane Society. The Humane Society would have fixed/vaxxed/chipped them. Then also adopted them out. What we know from Denise's post is that Denise says she was working with a rescue group to round up dogs, however we don't know what group. I mention Beth Stern simply because Beth does a lot of animal rescue work. Beth is specific about the groups she works with, she calls them out in her social media frequently. She does this because she's a public person and she uses the public platform she has to bring awareness to animals that need rescuing and also the funding for doing so. So what struck me as strange with Denise is that when she was rescuing dogs from the fire, why NOT drop the name of the rescue group? There's an author I follow on twitter who is pretty involved in cat rescue. The author fosters kittens, they post updates about the kittens, how they are growing, etc. Every post tags the name of the rescue group they are fostering through. The author lives in CA and during the fires, they also posted names of animal rescues that people could support. There were specific calls for people who were semi-local, because if you were, could you take in a dog, a cat, etc? If you lived somewhere else, could you throw $20, $5, even $1 to this rescue group? Because they were overloaded and were going to need more food, supplies, etc, due to the number of people displaced and people who were not able to take animals with them. So it was based on this that I was surprised that Denise did not also use her platform to throw out a plea for some funds for the group she was rescuing with. Finally, and again, this has nothing to do with LVP not doing anything wrong, but, it appears that VDPDs took in 8 dogs that Denise somehow acquired. So yes, she apparently was out there physically rescuing them, but my point is, if you're going to do that, what is the end game for the dogs? She had no place to house them, as she herself was displaced from her house. If she was working with a rescue group, again, let's pretend the Humane Society, then they would have taken them and fixed/vaxxed/chipped them. But then went to VDPDs. Someone contacted VDPDs. From the stories all have told, it appears that Denise was the one who did, which is why I wonder who she was working with, because if she was working with an established group, they would have already had a plan in place. In the end VDPDs is the one who took them, fixed/vaxxed/chipped them and had them adopted. So, that's where I was coming from. And with that, I'm cool agreeing to disagree, I just felt like I needed to try to explain where I was coming from, in case it helped clear it up.
  25. My point is this, if Denise was out doing rescue with with a specific rescue organization, let's say Skippy's SuperDuper Dog Rescue (which I am making up), then it would seem to me that she would have noted in her insta post that she and Aaron got their kids and dogs to safety and now were working with Skippy's Dog Rescue and have saved more dogs. Then she'd post a link or @ Skippy's Dog Rescue and put a plug for people to donate, because Skippy's Dog Rescue is clearly needing the help as they are overloaded with dogs due to the fires. And then, Skippy's would have taken the 8 dogs that Denise rounded up, paid for them to be fixed, vaxxed and chipped. Skippy's would have then found them homes. Instead, Denise appears to have posted that she was out rescuing dogs, which she then called LVP to help house during the fire. If she was working with a rescue organization at that time, why didn't that organization take them? And why didn't that organization contact LVP to see if they could help with the overflow? It doesn't add up to me. And yes, the link was to Beth Stern. No, she wasn't homeless and no she wasn't forced to move out of her home. But she consistently dedicates her time, efforts and money to animal rescue. She uses her platform to call attention to the cause, which is the reason I posted her insta, as it struck me as odd that Denise didn't take that simple step for the rescue she claimed she was out working with. And further, if you're saying we should forgive Denise for dumping the dogs on LVP when she was supposedly working with some other organization because Denise was homeless, Denise was forced to move, her kids were displaced from their schools (which was never mentioned), and she has a child with special needs, then maybe Denise shouldn't have been running around during the fire and rounding up dogs in the first place? I mean, not for nothing, but where were the kids when Denise and Aaron were out playing dog catcher? I can't imagine that the kids weren't scared with having to be evacuated from their homes.
