Let’s just hope that no matter what happens for Season 2 or beyond, we don’t have anymore Alicent/Larys “footsie” scenes…..that visual was more off putting that either of the childbirth scenes in ep 1 or ep 10….just saying…

In the very 1st episode when Daemon & Viserys are in the throne room and Viserys is asking Daemon “Did you say it?”. They spar back & forth with some words but then Daemon spits out “Ten years you’ve been king and not once have you asked me to be your hand. You’ve sent me to the Vale, the City watch anywhere else but by your side, so I could protect you.” When Viserys asks him protect him from what? Daemon says “Yourself. Your weak Viserys and that council of leeches knows it”. At that point Viserys tries to sing the virtues of Otto but Daemon says “he’s a c***”….Otto wanted Daemon as far away from KL and Viserys because Daemon would have been in Viserys ear all the time telling him good decision from bad decision….I guarantee that the entire Alicent /Viserys “calculated distraction” would more than likely not occurred had Daemon had a closer proximity to Viserys….Otto never feared Viserys but he truly feared Daemon and what he could be capable of if he were king.

Because her father filled her head with that prior to him leaving after being dismissed because Viserys figured out what a calculating, manipulative prick he is. Aemma wasn’t even wrapped by the Silent Sisters and Otto has Alicent going in to “offer comfort” to Viserys over Aemma’s death he caused but was inevitable. Five pregnancies in 10yrs time all ending in either miscarriage, still birth or crib death was a foreshadow of what would occur but Viserys had to have that male heir. It cost him the woman he truly loved. Alicent has become a bitter bitch because her relationship with Viserys is one of as Rhanerya said a few episodes ago “being imprisoned in a castle and made to squeeze out heirs”. There is no love or attraction there. I can’t wait for Larys to meet his hopefully grisly end. What a prick for murdering his father and brother. I feel no sympathy for Alicent when she realizes that Larys hired someone to do it. She is no innocent. I think in season 2 we will hopefully see a more developed side to her character. I can’t believe she will be withering away without anyone taking care of her if Ser Cristin Cole hadn’t had that job low these many years. The rats have got to go. They creep me out every episode they are shown.

In rewatching the series I noticed that in Ep 6 “The Princess and the Queen” when Alicent goes into her room to have dinner with Larys, she takes off her shoes. This evidently has been going on for quite some time. I guess it’s how Alicent gets info or has Larys do whatever dirty work she wants him to do and money doesn’t change hands. Still has an eww factor to it and to me doesn’t make Alicent this righteous character she portrays herself as. I am surprised that Talya doesn’t know about what Alicent & Larys are doing but maybe that will be born out and Talya will work for the White Worm at some point.

Well I’m home not feeling well with a possible blockage in my gut so I figured I’d watch “Manifest”. We watched the 3 episodes and then jumped to the last and to say I’m underwhelmed would be a misstatement. My guts feels like shit and so do I for giving up 4 hrs of time for this tripe. This used to be must watch TV season 1. Now it’s nothing more than a caricature of craziness even I can’t explain. I’m pissed off Angelina walked out of a burning building surrounded by police and fire and off she trods like Carrie from the fucking prom. Zeke dying pissed me off because I do like him an Micheala together. I like the older Cal because they got that character right. There is no explanation for why they are locking 828er’s up with no probable cause other than it’s the federal govt and they can do as they please. I’m not sure I will watch the back half of this 20 episode season. I think if I do I might not have a gut left at all.

I guess that Barry will find out when Molly doesn't wake up that she overdosed. I was hoping he was going to find something that would have clued him into that reality. I think between seeing the videos, having the maid sing to her and her general grief over Emma and not having her body to bury, was too much for her to take. Whether this clears the way for Dahlia and Barry remains to be seen. I also don't know how he is going to respond to having Ahmed as his son if Leila eventually tells him. As far as the General, he is starting to grate on my last nerve. Surely someone who has the experience he has within that region of the world would suspect that he would be using women and children as shields. What they need to do is take out one of these people when they are walking around with umbrellas. Eventually Ihab is going to have to die. Also if Fazi is falling in love with Dahlia what will that do to their friendship if Molly dies and she turns to Barry and vice versa. I think Fazi found common ground with Barry over the loss of their daughters. His running for president of Abuddin may further complicate their relationship.
