  1. Well, some of them did and others (some of whom couldn't even channel) did it for the attention. I think Taim was in the latter category.
  2. I was going to say that because Traveling needs a specific destination, it's not useful for chasing someone. But then again she would have to know that they'd be headed for the stables and could have Traveled there ahead of them. Well, they're not an unmoored army, they're essentially the military dictatorship and army of Amadicia. Probably that he's steeped in sinfulness and cynicism.
  3. Plus, it's based on a book series, and book series absolutely do introduce game-changing new powers and revelations in middle and late-stage books. I'd like to add that I always enjoy how well-reasoned your posts are.
  4. I don't like this philosophy in filming television nowadays. More than half the scenes in Buffy and Angel took place at night, but you could always see what was happening.
  5. I thought she might be going to use Compulsion on him. In the books, at least, Warder bonding is a weave discovered in the current Age that the Forsaken don't know.
  6. Five more. There were seven models already introduced at that point (Number Six - Tricia Helfer, Leoben - Callum Keith Rennie, Doral - Matthew Bennett, Sharon - Grace Park, Simon - Rick Worthy, D'Anna - Lucy Lawless, and Brother Cavil - Dean Stockwell). And it was more that RDM and the other Galactica writers realized they'd written themselves into a corner by having Number Six state at the outset that there were twelve humanoid Cylon models but only ever showing duplicates of those seven when we saw Cylons moving around on Cylon-Occupied Caprica and New Caprica, so why were the other five that hadn't been revealed yet always conveniently offscreen unless there was something different about them? And while the Significant Seven/Final Five mythology was then shoehorned in a bit awkwardly, it would've been narratively unsatisfying if the super secret Final Five had turned out to be random nobodies who'd had no impact on the plot up till then and had just been chilling somewhere in the Fleet doing nothing either good or bad during the first three seasons. So they made five recurring-but-not-too-important characters who were originally supposed to be human the Final Five. Basic healing of fresh wounds is an easy weave, it was Sammael's scar in particular that Graendal meant only Semirhage would be able to heal. The Age of Legends seems to have had Star Trek Federation levels of niceness in its administration. They were really unprepared for something like the Dark One.
  7. Not drove by, it was part of a montage. Which was only in the extended version. I looked at the video on the site just now to see what you were talking about, and the montage definitely wasn't in what I watched on TV. Yes, this scene shows a lot more of the town in a seemingly abandoned state.
  8. Also, Jughead barely interacted with Archie or Betty this season (despite that both he and Betty were menaced by Dr Werthers) and only somewhat more with Veronica. He was mostly in an isolated plotline from the rest of the main cast. Which made it odd when the musical portrayed him as Archie's best friend. That's clearly Reggie.
  9. Good point. They were living in the same house. Reggie's not that oblivious. I'm sure that stuff was there further into town, but as you say, we only saw the sign and Pop's, which was now a very old former business. Too bad given that before the timeline was altered, Alexandra was planning on franchising it.
  10. Yes, that's what I thought "the four of you" would mean at first, since Veronica had dated Reggie a little, Betty had thought about dating him, and it was implied something happened between him and Archie at Twyla's. Though I do like Veronica and Jughead together. Archie seemed to take what Betty was saying in stride, perhaps because it was Memory Archie. Indeed. Making people choose between more than one person they have genuine feelings for seems cruelly arbitrary to me 'cause they'll be cutting off a part of themself either way, and my reaction to love triangles is always that they should have a threesome, so it was refreshing to see it actually happen for once (I know it happened on Sense8, but I haven't watched the show yet). I think jealousy is a stupid and unsympathetic emotion that only sabotages love. I was thinking just yesterday that I wish the 2013 Dracula series had gone there with Dracula aka "Alexander Grayson" (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers), Mina Murray (Jessica De Gouw) and Jonathan Harker (Oliver Jackson-Cohen); given Dracula and Jonathan's interactions it would have made a deal of sense in that version. Also, it would have made sense in Deadly Class with Marcus, Saya and Maria. It was disappointing and male-fantasy-esque that there was no J&A (or R&A) to go with B&V, though. Given that we've already seen the Sweet Hereafter is real in Riverdale, there's no reason not to take that part literally. Speaking of cwtv.com, I wish they would do more promoting of the fact Dark Matter is available (https://www.cwtv.com/shows/dark-matter/episode-one/?play=ad657bfa-04f7-4a05-85f5-176f22440155) like they do with others. A seriously under-remembered show that was cancelled by Syfy 3/5 into its planned 5-season arc for being more popular than the Syfy Originals it could make money off of merchandising, which it couldn't for Dark Matter because it was a co-production with Prodigy Pictures in Canada. It deserves more attention 'cause every bit helps. The showrunner, Joe Mallozzi (also worked on Stargate) is very active on social media and his own blog https://josephmallozzi.com/, and tried to pitch a revival to Netflix last year.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised. They've had many of these reversals and discoveries. How so? The sin-infected water always had variable effects on people. It restored Judge Abbott, Logan and Brie's memories of the sins they erased, caused Nancy to be possessed by Logan's sin, and caused the film crew to be collectively possessed by Brie's sin. Everyone who watched was excited about that. Maybe he's Frank and Joe's cousin?
  12. Given that they now remember they lived through adulthood together in Riverdale in the 2010s-2020s (while managing not to scatter the way they reportedly did in the 50s, I'll add, at least not for long), experienced all kinds of mundane and paranormal adventures, and got sent back in time to go through high school a second time, I find them not keeping in touch their entire lives unlikely. Like the ending of Amphibia, a "people drift apart after school" message is undermined when they've experienced certain things together that make it unrealistic for that to happen (which is why the finale of The Owl House was such an improvement on that one). Especially when you consider that Betty, Jughead, Veronica, Toni, Cheryl, Kevin and Clay all became luminaries in fields related to art/media/publishing, there would be plenty of call for them to collaborate with their old friends. Also, it would have made sense to take advantage of their knowledge of how society will develop culturally and technologically in the future. And of course the subplot about Baby Tony being immortal and "the future" is cut off because he's not even born in this timeline.
  13. Well, yeah, and they didn't act like it had. They said everything that had survived the fire went to the Underground Historical Society. Plus everything that was already there, of course. But enough was burned that Bess needs to replace those things. Perhaps she'll be an antagonist to Nancy's attempts to undo the other Sin Eaters? What's odd is that we know Callie is a parent, and there was nothing about what happened to her kid. No, I'd say that's likely based on how the episode ended. Also "Mysteries are everywhere. And who knows? Sooner or later, I'm sure one of them will lead me back here." But I imagine Nancy will be spending time with Ace in whatever town he lives in for college, not just Horseshoe Bay.
  14. No, he said Medical Examiner. The whole "let it go" message was undermined by the fact that they should have been trying to put the fire out so it wouldn't spread. It was implied they'll keep up a relationship. Also, the director confirmed it: https://tvline.com/interviews/nancy-drew-finale-ending-explained-ace-last-name-hardy-1235032330/
  15. I assume you mean the link there to the roundtable discussion including Kacey Ainsworth.
  16. The link's not working. It goes to the top of this page.
  17. I actually didn't expect the murder this episode (meaning the last one). I said to my parents, "I forgot this was a murder mystery show." Mom said, "Yeah, I thought it was just going to be about Will's problem." I was pleased Larry did the right thing and is becoming a better person. I was hoping someone would report Elliot for striking Leonard because that's a reportable offense. I assume Ernie will leave next season when Will does. That was great! Nice to see Geordie being supportive of Cathy as she is of him and not having his head in his ass. Bonnie said, "Sorry" and Cathy said, "Not *that* sorry." I would have loved to see them in action! He said Geordie looked at him that way and "even you sometimes", meaning Miss Scott. I thought so, too, that Leonard would go with Daniel who has a gallery in London instead of Daniel staying with Leonard who had no work in Grantchester anymore. But the halfway house is apparently back in business. It would be nice if Mack and the kids were around next season, but I guess they live too far away. You remind me of how episodes of The Goldbergs always have the problem built up over the rest of the episode vanish in the last five minutes when the characters apologize and the narrator says something mawkish.
  18. There was a bit of a time-skip between the end of last season and the wedding. Glad you're enjoying the show!
  19. It's 8 this year and 8 next year. The final season of 10 episodes will most likely be 2025.
  20. Thank you, I didn't remember the raid where the Grants weren't shown but I remembered the first time they had an onscreen belligerent encounter with another clan after the wedding, at Sandringham's, and figured that was the raid the quote was referring to.
  21. To be fair, William's friend was shot by someone from around a corner, and the next guy to get a bullet in the head while standing around was shot from behind.
  22. I thought they were referring to the episode where the MacDonalds appeared with the Duke of Sandringham. I can't find actors playing Grants in that part of the season on IMDB. So there was a mention of an offscreen raid?
