  1. The woman comes out with a little reasonable wisdom every once in a while. I was punching the air when JoJo got the solo! Kendall was sulking and only wanted to do the dance if it was with Maddie, because of course everything Maddie Ziegler touches turns to gold. She danced it half assed as a solo and then stormed off. Jojo on the other hand would have done the dance as a duo, trio, solo, upside down, back to front - she's just happy to be there and is enthusiastic to take any opportunity. I was really happy for her, and I feel Jill should have been too - if her daughter didn't want the solo, why shouldn't JoJo have it? Oh yeah, I forgot, because it's KENDALL'S YEAR!! Jill's hypocrisy and bitchiness is becoming unbearable. I don't necessarily blame Kendall for her tantrums and bratty attitude, the poor girl probably has a lot of pressure and stress and fear of change to deal with right now - I know when I was 13 I could have thrown a mood swing tantrum over the smallest of things! The person I blame is Jill, who is enabling and encouraging the behavior by mollycoddling her. The way she's going, she's going to destroy Kendall's chances of having any success in life, never mind in dance! She's raising her kid to be a brat and her entitled attitude and victim complex won't help her in any way. As for Melissa boasting about her sex life, somebody grab me a bucket. That woman is obsessed with herself. She has this really irritating way of going on when she's boasting or talking out of her ass - like when she's asked about whether they're leaving the ALDC and she gets this screwed up constipated look on her face. You can tell a mile away she's talking rubbish! And sorry, my mistake, she'd obsessed with herself, but only slightly less than she's obsessed with Maddie. Her weird 'we' and 'us' language when talking about Maddie's opportunities is frightening - I can see her losing the will to live when her daughters flee the nest and only call a few times a year. I've always had a real soft spot for Mackenzie and for her sake I really hope she can step out of her sister's shadow and achieve her own success. She'll need all the luck she can get with Melissa for a mother. I read on the Dance Moms wiki that Nia also performed a solo that week, I can't see why it wasn't shown. I thought Brynn and Sarah's duo was absolutely beautiful, it reminded me of a Maddie and Chloe duo back in the day! I think Sarah is a beautiful dancer and I honestly think she would be a great extra member on the elite team, but I guess Abby has her reasons for not making her permanent. One of those reasons is most definitively her annoying mother,
  2. I don't believe even the parents really wanted fame in the beginning. I think they honestly just thought it would be a fun little project, their kids would be on TV and they would tape it and watch it back in years to come and laugh. I don't believe they thought the fame and the show would go as far as it did in the beginning, but once they did start gaining fans and freebies and attention, they became addicted. The kids even more so. Kids have always grown up craving popularity in school and such, even more nowadays with feeling like they need likes and attention on social media or they won't be 'cool'. That's the case even for ordinary kids who want 50 likes from all the kids at school on their photos - these girls have hundreds of thousands of followers and fans. Imagine going from that to being irrelevant at such a young age! I just hope they can take it for what it is, stay humble and enjoy it while it lasts, and it doesn't mess them up too badly for the rest of their lives. As for Chloe, I feel like she has a more manageable and healthy level of 'fame' at this stage. Whereas the dance moms girls like Maddie and Kendall and Mackenzie are still very much wrapped up in fame, where they're living in LA and most of their waking lives center around their fame and the show, Chloe is getting more of the best of both worlds. She gets to go to school and dance class in private and live a relatively ordinary private life, but still gets to enjoy dance and modelling opportunities and go to awards shows and such. She seems to enjoy making her Youtube videos and seems very humble and down to earth in them, every bit the ordinary 13/14 year old girl. I think she'll have fared best out of the show, because she left before it really went downhill for her. I believe she's young enough and has a good enough head on her shoulders to still have time to work out any inferiority complex or low self esteem that Christi or Abby left her with and I really wish her all the best in life and her career. Similarly I think the Hyland girls will get to enjoy a normal high school and college life, so long as the show didn't leave them permanently mentally scarred.
  3. These two comments made me laugh out loud hahaha!! As for this episode, I thought the waiting room dance was much more captivation than the Moving Target one, however it was a little sloppy. Nia's costume was beyond horrific, but that's nothing new. Nia having a bad costume is a card that's been played over and over so many times now that it's just not even interesting anymore. Maddie's solo I found surprisingly boring, as well as her costume. We've seen the same thing every time shes' performed. Yawn. Maybe that's why she was second. As for thoughts about next season, if Holly and Nia as well as Kira and Kalani don't pack up and go somewhere they'll get proper training, then they most be more money hungry and stupid than I ever thought. You're right about the age categories, Tessa, but did anyone else see the call for auditions for new dancers for Season 6?
  4. I totally agree. While the person who hacked and leaked the video is completely vile and should be held responsible, I feel like Maddie should have better sense than to have done this. While the video may have been innocent messing around between two friends, it wasn't just an accident or a camera slip, Maddie intentionally flashed the camera. Like you said, no 12 year old should be making videos that are sexually suggestive, and Maddie should be educated on this, especially in her position. She should understand that having such a video on her phone or in her icloud was risky, as well as that she shouldn't be partially naked around any cameras, no matter how innocent the intentions - Melissa should have taught her that. You can call it victim blaming, but there are nasty people out there and children need to be taught that if you play with fire, you might get burned. I don't blame Maddie, she simply made a mistake and now she's facing the consequences. However I feel she should have known better, and I place that onus on Melissa.
